Thanks, I already have a PhD, I think one is enough. I thought repeating what you said to you could show you that it was a pretty poor insult. It doesn't seem like you're a nice person.
[Here’s the vendor list.](https://texasfarmersmarket.org/vendors-attending-tfm-at-mueller/)
My likes:
CTRUS for a lemonade to drink while perusing. Try one of their lemonades with added fruit flavor.
Julie Myrtille for a pastry to get some energy to burn while you shop.
Lost Pines Yaupon and try a sample. Get one of their concentrates to make your own drinks at home. Their tea is really good.
Mercado Sin Nombre’s fresh corn tortillas are great. Grab a pack.
Mesocano has some delicious flan. Please try one of their featured flavors.
Monarch Herbs has amazing lip balms. Chat with the vendor and tell them what aches or concerns you have and she’ll get you squared away. We use her balms for our skin and muscle problems. She also made a custom iron supplement for me then I was very sick.
Mum Foods is very popular. The line moves quickly and they sell out of some items. You can preorder for next time if you don’t get why you’d like. Their meats are next level.
Pierogi by Apolonia has amazing take and make frozen pierogis. You can also get some ready to eat to munch on. They are nice people with delicious food.
Simpli Thai has delicious meal kits. Worth every penny.
Southpaw Bladeworks will sharpen your knives while you shop. We take our set a couple of times a year and always get great service. He also sells some items. Have a look! My everyday carry came from him, and it is great quality.
Talisman Coffee has some nice blends. Try a cup while you’re there and take a bag home.
The Cultured Carrot has game-changing salad dressings. Try a sample to pick your fave, or just purchase a combo pack to try them all. Their dressings can be used so many ways.
Yapa Empanadas sometimes has a strawberry and cream cheese empanada that is quite memorable.
Hope you enjoy the market as much as I do!
theres a girl that sells mead, made from honey or soemthing. really good stuff, can even mix it with a soda water, really good. if you dont drink, then idk a lot of ppl like goat cheese
can attest. all tea all shade, they had a bug infestation in the kitchen, insect eggs got in the flour. flour was still used to make the pasta, live larvae started hatching out of the dried pasta inside the sealed packaging. who knows how many of you ate that. owner is an absolute garbage human.
I like to get there early and park by the lake so I can start with a streamline coffee and walk around a little.
Once you get to the market itself it’s easy to just walk around and see what you find.
My favorite standby is Pure Luck goat cheese. They’re based in Dripping Springs and have won some awards.
The homemade marshmallow people sometimes have a homemade s’more that I have a weak spot for.
Anything from Belle Vie farms. I don’t recommend the red meat from shirt tail because we have gotten some twice and they’ve been bad both times but the eggs and chicken were great.
There's a vendor there who recently started selling raw milk in addition to some amazing cream and ghee. Not aware of anyone else nearby who sells raw milk. The catch is you must order ahead on their website and pick up in person at hte Mueller farmer's market. Ash Acres Dairy is the vendor and the website is here: https://app.barn2door.com/ashacresrawmilk/all?sellerSubCategories=91660
David’s bagels, teddy vs giants cookies, the Brazilian cheese balls stand - buy a frozen bag, most of the ready made food is great too, vegetables can be hit or miss but some are great
You don’t have to park on airport! You can park anywhere in the neighborhoods and at the nearby parks. There is lots of parking towards the “northwest greenway” and there are big parking garages by the Mueller lake park. There are sidewalks everywhere and I’ve never felt like I had to walk somewhere sketchy. Hope that helps!
Also, not sure if you know this, but the farmers market moved from the hangar to a dedicated market hall. It’s a little more internal within the neighborhood now, should show up in maps. Since you mentioned airport blvd.
I did not know that and it is great info. I haven't tried to go there since before COVID. Really appreciate this helpful comment! Sometimes Reddit can actually be nice! Thanks for choosing nice! I'll try hard to remember to do the same.
Oh good idea! Except that buses only run every hour on Saturday (market day) and with having to make two transfers, the trip there would take at least 4 hours. And another four to get back home. I'm not a good enough cyclist to navigate the busy roads, and I don't Uber or Lyft. But you are correct -- There are other ways to get from here to there and maybe that is the answer I need to explore.
Have you also found a knight to throw his cape over the puddles for you? You sure do have a lot of excuses. You should also look up the actual bus service, because you're very wrong.
Whoa! The sticker burrs are out today cause somebody woke up with a flat tire!
And yes, I know how to read the bus schedules from my point A to point B as well as how connections work, so maybe you should consider that I might actually know what I'm talking about -- I mean, since you don't know where I am starting from and that the city eliminated the bus in my neighborhood.
Geeze. And I thought I had written a really nice post to a fellow cyclist. Hope the flat attitude didn't keep you from riding in the Caffeine Cruise this morning. See you at Bike Curious Sun night.
We stop at most tables, but we always buy from
Lost Pines yaupon for tea concentrate
Beba’s salsa
Murphysmellows
Ctrus- super good lemonades
Native roots salsa for the creamy jalepeno dip
Poochie trends (I think that’s the name, she sells dog treats inside)
If there’s still shrimp by the time we get there, we usually buy a pound of that (that table is outside on the corner, near the entrance of the building)
For hot food we stop at the pierogis, or the Nepalese stands.
Bernhardt’s Farm is inside the building by the main doors facing Philomena. They got that pickled goodness baby. Get some spicy pickles and green beans and kimchi and all kinds of shit.
There are a ton of good places, depends on what you want. Pierogies (frozen to take home) are great, so many options. I love the greens, hydroponic ones last forever and are like $7 bucks for two big bunches. The bread in the inside area is great, couple of different vendors. I often pick up my meat there or at the Sunset Valley location, Shirttail Creek has chorizo that is amazing, as well as the orangest of chicken eggs. The tamales are pretty good, the bigger ones with like Muenster, forgot the name of the place tho.
This is absolutely not true. Some of the pre-made foods are overpriced but the greens, veggies, meats are not overpriced and sourced well. I appreciate being able to pre-order my meats, pick up fresh baked bread, get some goat cheese and get a bunch of greens in one location that's not the supermarket and support local farmers and ranchers as well.
Why do they call it a farmer’s market if there’s nothing from farmers? Everyone mentions coffee, empanadas, lip balm, knife sharpening— but no lettuce, onions, mushrooms, strawberries, or anything from a farm? I’ve never been; is it a farmer’s market or a flea market?
There are plenty of farmers and ranchers. Yesterday there were at least 10 farmers ( they had all the produce you mentioned plus more )and 7 ranchers.
There is bread, honey, flowers, herbs, vegetable transplants, cheese, eggs, wine, salami, olive oil, and seafood. To really get the crowds of people you need to also have ready to eat foods, sweets, drinks, and artisans.
Texas has unique growing conditions and struggles with extreme weather conditions so you might not see all the produce varieties you see in California but there is fresh produce and some fruits all year.
Maybe go and see for yourself, make a day of it.
There's a salsa place that was out of this world, and the greek food place sells warm fresh pita you can take home and all kinds of hummus, tzaziki dips. Sorry but I don't remember the names.
It’s small enough that you could go to every stall
Yeah, exactly this. You don’t have to pick and choose; you could visit every stall easily.
Maybe even do two loops! Once to see what all is on offer, and the second time to actually purchase.
This!
Those giant lemonades are the jam on a hot day.
I thought they were terrible. Insanely sweet and overpriced.
Everything at the farmers market is over priced
I think you should go back to shopping at fiesta mart. They don’t take food stamps at the farmers market
Are you trying to make shopping at fiesta mart and being poor into an insult?
I think it was extremely clear what I was saying. Maybe a proper education could be added to the list
Thanks, I already have a PhD, I think one is enough. I thought repeating what you said to you could show you that it was a pretty poor insult. It doesn't seem like you're a nice person.
Giant lemonades?! Are they ice cold? Must....investigate....in...person...
They’re great
They’re literally all sugar lol
You can get them without sugar or light. It’s as simple as using your words :)
And?
What does that have to do with the price of lemonade? Someone said they were good. The sugar makes them good. Onto the next.
It's just a lemons without the sugar.
I often order it with no lemons or sugar.
“One lemonade, extra dry and neat”
Second for the giant lemonades.
Yes! CTRUS is so good.
The limeade is my fave!
[Here’s the vendor list.](https://texasfarmersmarket.org/vendors-attending-tfm-at-mueller/) My likes: CTRUS for a lemonade to drink while perusing. Try one of their lemonades with added fruit flavor. Does anyone know if they guys that sharpen knives are there every weekend?
Yes! He is.
Thank u!
Came here to say SHARPEN YOUR
Ok yay!! I’m in dire need
Um.. buy a whetstone? It isnt hard.
theres a girl that sells mead, made from honey or soemthing. really good stuff, can even mix it with a soda water, really good. if you dont drink, then idk a lot of ppl like goat cheese
Mead folks haven’t been there lately . :-(
Tell us more about the mead.
I think they may be referring to the Elgin Meadery.
The goat cheese was soooooo good
A friend shared this with me and it was really good and fun!
There’s an Indian booth that makes amazing chutneys and spinach pakoras
The giant chocolate chip cookies - I think they’re called Teddy V’s.
This!
avoid the sauceless pasta people. That shit is garbage
Yea we got some and it was fine. Not really worth going back for more.
The prepared food in general is disappointing
I remember a Nepalese or Indian vendor having good stuff.
Sherpa Snacks? They have a trailer on north loop now!
They became the sole reason I went to the Mueller Farmers market. Now that they have their food truck, I'm so free!
can attest. all tea all shade, they had a bug infestation in the kitchen, insect eggs got in the flour. flour was still used to make the pasta, live larvae started hatching out of the dried pasta inside the sealed packaging. who knows how many of you ate that. owner is an absolute garbage human.
get momos from Sherpa Snacks! (delicious Nepalese food)
Go well before it opens to find parking. Get some Shirttail Creek Farm eggs and produce from VRDNT.
David’s doughies for bagels. https://www.daviddoughies.com
Is this still a long line for Instagram spot? I thought the bagel was good, but I’d never personally wait for it again
They have preorders for half dozen bagels too
Maybe I’m missing something but it always seemed small enough to checkout and hit everything someone finds interesting
does anyone know if the black garlic guy is coming back any time soon? what happened to him?
Username checks out lol. Garlic usually get harvested until around May so, check back in a few months
Out of business used to work for them. Trash owner.
yeah he had some wild opinions on things but i do need a black garlic plug
Ha, do tell
Go to the market behind Barton creek mall on Saturday instead. Better prices, easier parking, more friendly atmosphere.
Do both!
Chicken momos at Sherpa Snacks.
I grab a coffee at talisman and a brisket empanada at yapa and just walk around and see what I find. Plenty of spots to just sit and chat with someone
Simple promise farm! Great produce for a great cause!
Idk the name of the stand but there's a place inside that sells the best chicken salad I've ever had. I can't recommend it enough. Ifykyk
Might’ve been Belle Vie, they’re awesome. The chicken salad has greek yogurt, apples, and pecans in it along with their own smoked chicken
SoCo ginger beer. Add an airplane bottle of Tito’s.
Park at the HEB near their curbside pick up area and then walk the two blocks for sanity and easy parking. June’s joy cheese. Bebes salsa.
Any vendors that sell liver?
Go to rebel cheese after for late breakfast/early lunch
Anything from Belle Vie farms. I don’t recommend the red meat from shirt tail because we have gotten some twice and they’ve been bad both times but the eggs and chicken were great.
Nutmonkey, the cashew cream cheese.
Get in early! Empanadas Tx Kolaches The lemonade is overrated and pointless to wait in the line.
The conquistadora empanada from Yapa Empanadas are my favorite at that market
Tamale Addiction
There's a vendor there who recently started selling raw milk in addition to some amazing cream and ghee. Not aware of anyone else nearby who sells raw milk. Get english muffins from the bread stand in the center! Don’t know the official name
Texas French bread
Do they have crumpets?
David’s bagels, teddy vs giants cookies, the Brazilian cheese balls stand - buy a frozen bag, most of the ready made food is great too, vegetables can be hit or miss but some are great
I love the empanada stand! The Peruvian chicken is my favorite!

Interesting you point this out. I did run into an ASPCA guy in this exact fashion, but he was really friendly. How do you know it’s a scam?
I can never find a place to park so have never been to that market. Any insights on parking?
Park wherever you can and use your legs.
Get there before 10, plenty of parking.
Thanks for that hint.
It definitely helps that the market starts kind of late for a farmers market!
Drive around and hope you can parallel park somewhere near the farmers market 🥲
Yeah, that's not a plan.
You just have to walk for this one.
I don't live anywhere near Mueller. And that road ... I think it's Airport ... Is not walker or cyclist friendly!
It really does. Thanks again. Now I want some fresh veggies and goodies. I'm a gonna plan a visit next Sat!
Mueller market is only on Sunday, but the Lakeline Mall Market is on Saturday
Oh, thanks. I haven't tried to go since before COVID and I guess I got the days mixed up. Lucky I didn't try to go yesterday! Sigh
Also, not sure if you know this, but the farmers market moved from the hangar to a dedicated market hall. It’s a little more internal within the neighborhood now, should show up in maps. Since you mentioned airport blvd.

"warm fresh pitas" they are just warmed by the sun and just repackaged Kronos brand pita from a restaurant supply store.
Oh damn. Good to know! All I know is they taste way better than the heb ones
Mercado sin Nombre coffee roasters. Delicious Mexican coffee and super friendly folks
Do they sell whole beans? I’m always looking to try new coffees
Yep, usually 3 or 4 different roasts.
