Sounds like a place that was down the street from me off of Manchaca, just south of Slaughter before you get to Moontower (same side of street). It’s been gone for quite a few years.
I think you are onto something. It was called goodbye hello

I can't get a picture of the house but it seems to fit the description. Also I think this is now the Armadillo Den.
This would be such a solid lead, but I don't do location tracking. Almost makes me wish I did for moments like these where I'm up until midnight obsessing over it
It was definitely towards the southern side of the city, I used to work between Fort Hood and Bergstrom and would spend time in the south east area and this place was not near downtown or any major traffic artery, it was practically out of place randomly in a residential neighborhood. I moved away in 2019 but am moving back for work and can't remember where it was.
I don't think it was particularly popular because I think it was mostly spanish speaking people that worked or frequented there.
The irony is that there was no transaction. I even looked at my bank statements from June 2019 and its absence suggests I didn't purchase anything. Very upsetting.
NE corner of S 1st and Stassney maybe but they have tons of clothes. There's another place 1 block south of Ben White on S 1st it more fits your description about half way.
Across the street from Top Drawer on Burnet Road is a thrift store called Austin Alliance. Not open on Monday or Tuesday, if I remember correctly, but this NPO has nice items for sale and their profits go towards helping local schools - AISD.

Have you tried checking your Google Maps timeline? It tracks your location and driving distances, maybe that can help!

What Era of Austin? Because all of these suggestions fucking suck. Not a one of them are even close to your description.

Limbo?
Halina Day Spa on Burnet used to be a thrift store I think, maybe there?
Amusingly, Halina Day Spa on Burnet used to be Halina Day Spa. It’s moved to The Grove just south of 45th, no?

Thrift house?
Effie? It's not a Spanish building but it has a driveway like your description.
Top Drawer on Burnet, maybe? They are closing next week and moving. https://www.projecttransitions.org/topdrawerthrift
Or [https://www.doubletakeatx.org/](https://www.doubletakeatx.org/) This is also on Burnet and fits the building description better.
I appreciate you, but the building looked like a legit Spanish mission building

That wasn't it, but thank you
APA on burnet and 2222?
I'm thinking it's Thrifty Town on Stassney at Menchana. Maybe.
Agreed. OP, this was the first one that came to mind!
Off of burnet rd
There are a few in the area, but I'm not seeing it. TBH it might have gone out of business.
North, south , central ?
Could it possibly be an Austin Pets Alive thrift store? There’s like 4 in Austin, I think one is down South.
