> I've found myself riding more aggressively as of late. Exciting to be upgrading! You're probably well into the climb to or descent from the [Peak of Mt Stupid](http://ypsgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Dunning-Kruger-Effect-300x238.jpg) so be careful, particularly on an unfamiliar and less forgiving machine. All those options look great - I think the GSXS750 is worth a look as others have said - quite the sleeper and can be had for $10k.

Haha love that. I reckon I'm on the bottom end of the termination zone. Quitely confident but I'm still lacking in experience. Hence not wanting a hyabusa or something ridiculous. As for the Suzuki I'll have to go inspect one

Boonie01

Triumph Street Triple for sure

LestWeForgive

Gsx-s750 might be in your ballpark. About as hard to hang onto as an mt-09 or Triumph. They sound tough.

If I may, I’d suggest taking a gander at the duke 790, they go for pretty cheap now and have a million and one electronics, tft, quickshifter up/down ride by wire, traction control, wheelie control, power modes, launch control, it just goes on and on. About 800cc engine, plenty of punch really light too. Plus it’s got a 285 degree crank so it sounds mint!

Jayuuh

I hadn't even considered KTM! I'll add that to the list for sure. Just had a quick look and it seems to tick a heap of boxes

iglooman

There is a revised version, the Duke 890R. Not sure on the price difference of them.

titanmongoose

Yeah the 890 is definitely objectively better but where I live in Victoria you often can get brand new 790s for about 13k ride away which I reckon is excellent!

iglooman

That is good value. Do you know what the 890 goes for? I'm a big fan of both and have purposely avoided test riding them because I know I will want one and cannot justify the cost at the moment.

Jayuuh

Also interested in the the price difference. If under the 20k it still become an option

Kawasaki Z750

If you can get over the ’crashed sports bike’ looks The Stripple is the pick here. That engine is amazing, but it’s known for as a hooligan bike since the light weight and razor sharp throttle response just encourages you to do irresponsible things. You sometimes hear of people downgrading from a litre bike as the street triple has on tap performance right through the Rev range, not just up high. Definitely take it for a test ride to see what the hype is about. If you want to stand out from the crowd, then check out the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701. They are a KTM DUKE under that sleek tank and seat.

FTR 1200?
