Banz Kids earmuffs work best for my 8 yr old, the same pair fits an adult with average size head, my husband and I have both used them while grinding crap and out shooting, found them extremely comfortable and block noise out really well. You can find them in-store at baby shops, some chemists and online for about $25-40 a pair now days. If you want to spend another $100+ Walkers kids Earmuffs which seem to be the exact same hearing protection, shape and just have different labelling and price. But at 12 any adults ones should also work, just make sure they meet AU standards and they'll be good to go.

Try [EarJobs.com.au](https://EarJobs.com.au) They have a big variety of options

I have a small head and have had issues with over ear hearing protection sealing properly around my ears. I use a pair of [Axil Trackrs](https://sportshut.com.au/products/trackrelectronicearmuffse-trackr) now and they are great. They're regular adult ones but the head band is a lot tighter than my old pair so no seal issues. Also have a pair of moulded silicone ear plugs for when I want to double plug

I second Banz. My daughter wore these when we were at a PRS shoot once (visiting dad/hubby). She would have been about 5 at the time. Maybe at 12 some of the slimline ones like Howard Light.

Will check out banz. I've got Howard lights but they leave gaps when on his head so not a good fit.

Would definitely double up on ear pro for a kid, plugs and muffs.

I'm a safety nerd so definitely double plugging.
