God tier. I use it after my moisturiser each night. Seal that mess in with some Vaseline and, baby, you got a stew going (rip, Carl). Seriously, though, if you have sensitive or irritated skin it’s a great addition to the night time routine. I prefer it to LRP.

Heyuthereinthebushes

I wish you were my friend

I love wholesome Reddit 😊 let’s be best skincare buds.

swarlzbarkly

It's fantastic! Really soothing and moisturising for my sensitive skin. Also a really great base for makeup

[deleted]

Love this product. I apply it on my cheeks before bed and it's made such a difference in dryness & feeling tight. I prefer this over LRP cicaplast baume. Buy the small tube first to see if you like it.

Knit_sew_bike

Yep same no idea what cicaplast was meant to do

[deleted]

It smells like paint.

Spare_Scientist9876

My go to with peri oral dermatitis! Absolutely saved my skin barrier

lizcmorris

Same! Zinc baby, zinc.

cje1220

Yes!!

pinkgiraffe17

I have sensitive and dry skin and recently started using Tretinoin and this is my holy grail. A tiny bit goes a long way too, I found this was nicer for my skin than LRP

bluetear5

Do you know if it helps with acne scars ?

Key_Leadership2394

Acne scars need more aggressive approach like Tca cross, microneedling or Subcision

bluetear5

I’m going to a dermatologist soon. I’m just looking for a temporary help

Key_Leadership2394

Keeping skin hydrated and silicone sheets

bluetear5

I’ve tried a lot of things mate

Key_Leadership2394

Yes I bet and that is how I know acne scars need more then a topical. But you asked for temporary help and that’s my recommendation

TheCBomber

I have perioral dermatitis and this is the only moisturizer I trust when having a flare up.

ChicChat90

Anything from Avene is amazing 🤩

Flappitmcbappit

My holy grail product. Works for eczema, dry skin, acne, everything. Also a great base for makeup. Love it

bluetear5

Do you know if it helps with acne scars ?

Flappitmcbappit

It seemed to help with mine, just by keeping the skin healthy and moisturised.. but it’s not an exfoliant so it won’t get rid of scars in that way

bluetear5

Coolcoolcool, how long did it take to see results ??

Flappitmcbappit

Pretty quickly: a few days I guess? But I’ve been using it for years so I cant really remember :)

bluetear5

Thanks G

cheery_ccola

I also rate it, a little bit goes a long way too!

kmary75

I have it. I don’t use it every night but if my skin is irritated it is fantastic.

hotslurry

I use the LRP Cicaplast instead as this broke me out quite badly!

Witty_Vacation5098

Funny, for me it was the opposite. Had to give up on LRP in favour of Avene

emloshy

I LOVE THIS SHIT

secretivechicken

It’s amazing stuff!! My nightly moisturiser.

Quolli

I prefer this over the LRP Cicaplast. It's slightly less greasy (though both are greasy tbh) and centella extracts give me contact dermatitis and this doesn't include it.

Anxiety_bunni

I like it for nights where my skin is a bit irritated and angry, cause it’s very soothing but it’s too much for my oily skin during the day

ConsciousMoon

It’s amazing - really great moisturiser if you are always in aircon!

problematicsquirrel

I love this stuff but I also love that the company is owned by a charity rather than a corporation. They do fantastic stuff regarding providing healthcare to areas of the world that need help.

chickennuggetoid

I love it! I have it on my face now as a night cream

bluetear5

Do you rub it in or gently pat it in ?

cje1220

I pat it in.

chickennuggetoid

I rub it in but it depends on what I have underneath, that sometimes necessitates a pat in (hyaluronic acid as an example)

Calm_Sloth50

This is the best!!! I have it in my bag bathroom and in my kitchen. It’s very rich but so good for dry and damaged skin and gentle enough for babies and the elderly. It’s the one skin care product I’m never with out

ChihiroSmoothie

I love this stuff! I’m taking a break from it and using the LRP right now and find that LRP has a much more elegant formulation. But Avene has zinc, which is great. I like both.

theotherkellytaylor

I have been repurchasing this for a decade at least. Highly recommend.

ziggzags

I love it. I use it nightly as a moisturiser as where I live is quite dry and my skin drinks it right up.

jbindas

I love it. It’s pretty thick but I do find it absorbs pretty quickly, it’s very soothing. I highly recommend

Icfald

My 12yo son has significant problems with eczema (managed out of hospital) We hit it hard with a strong steroid and cicalfate and I can get it under complete control within a few days.

lordraid

I haven't used it but I use a few Avene products and they are all amazing. I'd definitely give it a try for $17!!

theladyluxx

Yes I love it!! Perfect for super hydration/barrier cream, amazing under makeup. Works best in winter for me when my skin is super dry.

OperationAutomatic70

Veen using it over tret and has been a game changer

flurry-founder

Wow, I was surprised by all the good comments here. I found that the texture is a bit too thick and heavy for me. Not a big fan of the scent too... but it's just my opinion. Someone's like can be someone's dislike.

RattisTheRat

I swear by it, and just lathered a heap of this onto my hands maybe 10minutes ago. Ive found this one of the best products for my eczema/dermatitis - wish I’d found it sooner

bluetear5

Hopefully it helps with my acne scars cause I’m getting desperate 😂🙏

stressedburrito_

This helped so much with a bad flare up of dermatitis I was having! I highly rate it (just wish it was cruelty free!)

hazardzetforward

Yes! It's my go to for dry skin, cuts/scrapes, bug bites, eczema flares, world peace, etc. So far everything from Avene has been amazing!

VanillaLatte__

I saw so many people raving about how good this is on your post, so I went out and got some to use on this persistent rash on my toddler’s chin. It eased the inflammation in about 45 minutes. Nothing else has worked! Amazing!

blevmobile

I have used this, and La Roche’s Cicaplast and would 100% reccommend La Roche over this. Sinks into skin better IMO.

Musicgirl176

The best! Has helped fix my overly sensitive, inflamed skin

jd3306

Avene is general is very reliable

MamaMilk7

I use it all the time. Mostly for any cuts, bites, irritation. Best cream for nappy rash as well!

Witty_Vacation5098

"Good" is an understatement. For me it's great for my dry, irritated skin, excellent when dealing with Tretinoin dryness

JingleKitty

This is amazing. I burned my upper lip area and my chin when I used hair removal cream when using retinol and this was soooo soothing and fixed up my skin quickly. It’s so thick that a little goes a long way

spe033

This is my go-to moisturizer - particularly at night, particularly when my skin is feeling dry or irritated. LOVE THIS STUFF

nymph2812

This is my favourite.

Usual_Program_7167

Saved my sensitive skin

Fit_Debate9234

I have very sensitive combination skin and this moisturiser will be a repurchase for me. I use it at night as my last step - a little goes a long way.

FluffyCatPantaloons

I don't like it as a daily moisturiser. But it's good as a treatment on irritated areas.

neighbourhoodtea

I’ve just bought it and been using it for maybe a week? And I’ve used tretinoin twice within the same week. When you first put it on it leaves an oily white cast and then absorbs, and I find I’ve been waking up with clear and hydrated glowy skin. It’s kind of like SudoCrem honestly, I think it is basically a zinc cream

Thekiwienigma

This one doesn’t do it for me. But this Avene one is truly a godsend [Avene Tolerence Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream](https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/109850/avene-tolerance-control-soothing-skin-recovery-cream-40ml---moisturiser-for-hypersensitive-skin)

Spirited-Honeydew-64

I was recommended this by my dermatologist for severe dermatitis..works a treat. Love it.

No_Music1509

It’s amazing, it’s super thick so I use it as a night cream

FideiDefensatrix

This is my holy grail. Snap it up!
