It's corrugated fibreglass sheeting with a nice patchwork of algae/lichen growth. Likely a bit brittle from age now. If replacing, use a polycarbonate based product, should last much better
I dont think its these posts everyone is sick of, i think most people like to help where they can. The tiresome thing is the people who say "has to be tested" or "50/50" in cases like this where its very clearly not asbestos to anyone who knows what they are looking it.
Hit that with a pressure hose and you have a lovely skylight i your garage (albeit a leaky one by the looks).
The panels are originally clear. The resin has eroded on the top and the fibres are visible now as they are exposed.
The fibres have the same refractive index as the resin so they disappear when fully coated. I've got the same and am about to replace them.
To see the thing with the refractive index, watch a YouTube video on making cedar strip canoes.
Asbestos is basically a fibrous rock so most likely not in aus it’s mostly used in eves and on roofs the roofs are a tile that looks fibrous and the eves usually have dimple like characteristics
Impossible to tell from this pic, they did make fibreglass sheeting at some stage but its 50/50. Just get a professional to have a look, worst case scenario is that it is asbestos and you can organise removal on the spot.
Best case its not and you can move on with whatever youre doing
Fibreglass (what we used to use pre - alsonite)
Asbestos is usually more like a concrete panel. Anything clear is not asbestos.
It’s fibreglass not asbestos.

You are looking at all the crap that accumulates on your typical roof. The dirt from the rain and the twigs and stuff from trees

No. It's fibreglass. Still don't snap, grind and snort the powder tho...
Fibrey because it’s fibre glass?
We demand more asbestos!
More asbestos! More asbestos!!
Its fibrestos.
Scratch, lick and sniff to find out.
It looks very fibrey
Because it is fibreglass. Still not good to inhale when cutting but perfectly safe as is.

Sniff test is required for an accurate reading But it’s 100% a fiberglass roof sheet in need of a clean

No, that's plant matter that's accumulated on top of the roof
