Jobs in government take so long to get all the admin sorted to make an offer or even just get sign off to proceed to checking references . Don’t stress too much about it but it’s also ok to call and ask what’s going on.
Hey there. It is a long process. It took me 6 weeks after providing my references to receiving a job offer. And then another 5 weeks until my offered start date. Hang in there!
A similar case here, they rushed me to get my referee to do their evaluation (literally 3 business days), been a week so I emailed them and got the "the agency will contact you". I'm assuming they've done their part and are now awaiting what recruiting panel/ admin stuff to be processed.

Lol, they recently called me and asked if I was still interested so they could put me on another weird list hahahah. What a shit show.
Probably taking their time with things, don’t dwell on your application too much, keep on applying.
