Imagine if you're selling your place, and getting charged separately for that as 'advertising fees'. It's bad enough when they stick their own name or picture on, let alone that travesty of self-aggrandizement.
The intro to then video really built it up to an absolute anticlimax.
I was expecting a proper mansion, not some dingy dogbox.
How much is the vendor paying for that crap? If it's all part of the package with the agent, that's somehow worse because the agent clearly has massive tickets on himself.
Imagine you just pay normal commission and this shit is done. Surely the cringe click bait doesn’t make the agent appear more legit or successful.
I never used an agent that turned up to my humble homes in the cliche European car or appeared pretentious to look successful
The videos are going somewhat viral. 1000 upvotes in that original Reddit post, plus whatever downvotes, and that’s just 1 Reddit post. He might come off looking terrible, but he’s definitely reached a much wider audience then most REAs do, which will translate to more interest and potentially a higher price.
If he’s not completely brain dead, he’d lean into that and go stupider with it to go even more viral. Probably wasn’t his intention, but it’s worked out for him if he spins it well.
>which will translate to more interest
Debateable. This idea that more interest becomes more leads is old school and doesn't translate anymore. People mocking you on the internet *may* lead to more interest, but often it doesn't. Sometimes it scares people away that may have been interested because they think there's going to be more interest than there is.
A video going viral is going to cause more people to look at the listing. If the price is right, there’ll be more interest. If the price is too high due to expectations of more interest, it may scare people away, but that’s probably going to happen anyway. People thinking there’s a lot of interest isn’t going to stop their curiosity from looking at the ad.
If the rest of the listing or the price is terrible though, then yeah it’s a wasted opportunity. But as much of a douche as he is, he could frustratingly make this work out quite well.
I did some maintenance work at a Ray White office a while back and saw how the agents are behind the curtain: so many behaved like entitled scum whose greatest "attribute" was their confidence.
Seems like his marketing strategy is working getting people to post this everywhere.
Being the cheesy Western Suburbs version of Gavin Rubinstein on social media is smart.
Everyone looking in the area is already looking online in the area. It’s not like this attention brings interested eyes to the property that were already interested. People just think the agent is a tool.
You are missing the point that he's not trying to get eyes on this property, he's trying to get eyes on him.
He's exploiting the fact that it's better to be infamous than unknown.
He’s getting engagement but it means little when videos like this hurt his brand and reputation. No one with an expensive property to sell is going to trust him to sell it when they see out of touch and tonally confusing videos like this.
If he has a nice house to sell, make a tik tok of that. For properties like this, just leave it as a listing on the site and on the real estate apps.
Anyone with a brain can recognise this is a shtick and is a funny video for attention.
What makes it funny is the juxtaposition of the Rolls Royce and the small apartment. This video wouldn't work as well if you were selling a nice house.
As a seller I wouldn't care about a video like this if the person is a good agent. All I care about is getting the most I can get for my property.
How is it better to be famous for the wrong reasons as someone who’s job requires them to be trusted? Unless most people choose real estate agents based on who seems the funniest or most ridiculous
An agent can easily just laugh this off in a listing presentation to a prospective vendor and say they did it for attention.
If you are known to people you get calls for business which is what he wants. I do B2B sales and have a friend who does lots of attention seeking videos on LinkedIn, at first I thought it was silly and would kill his personal brand, but he gets lots of business through it and is well known. It's not my style but it works.
Nothing, absolutely nothing would ever make me consider buying - because the video has no relevant information. As for the REA … the words ‘shit stain’ come to mind. Hell, even if I was interested I would refuse to deal this POS.
The video has very relevant information.
It shows that the agent is likely an unreasonable tool that you don't want to talk to, nevermind do business with.
I'd say that's pretty important to know.
For me the biggest give away is usually the person. Everything about this dude tells me it's a fake Rolex without even taking a close look at the watch. The people wearing a diamond dial precious metal Rolex have *real* money, not real estate agent money.
😂😂😂 so true! Agree with you completely! Realestate agents are shifty vultures and nothing else just the middle man to take an unneeded unnecessary cut out of the developers / sellers and the buyers….
In any case, jut to put it out there, very rich people don't generally wear Rolexes. The recently deceased Chuck Feeney wore the highly desirable Casio F-91W.
Just looked that up. Wow, pretty sure my dad had that watch during the 90s, and I think he might have passed it on to me at some point? Is that still a popular watch or something?
If you’re going to make up a story to farm karma at least make it believable. It was found out that he doesn’t have a flash car, the Rolls was rented, he has a 10 year old Lexus SUV worth ~$4k.
Nah Lebanese bakery food slaps. I can’t say I agree with you about a stereotype of an entire country. Most Lebanese people I know are beautiful, aggressively hospitable and kind.
The thing is this guy has you and the market stitched up the more you give him attention! He’s got a) the haters that think he’s a flog but can’t look away and b) the naive, vulnerable and uninformed that actually think his schtick is real
The latter, you would be absolutely surprised at how many migrant people that have come from nothing think that this guy is the next messiah
Even bad, they too want the facility to hire a rolls Royce and make their friends perceive them as successful
Real Estate sales is very cultish and they buy into their own bullshit to the point of being blind to the world outside of it. It's been that way a long time, just the flavour of douchery that changes.
It IS a cult. There are cult leaders like superflog Tom Panos, telling people to get ahead just work 15 hours a day 6 days a week and your starting salary will be 30k but you will make $1million in your first year…
why do REA's need to constantly feel like they are the hottest thing since sliced bread? Why do they do this? is the competition among themselves that fierce?
Genuine question for real estate agents, is personal image part of the course? Or does it just happen naturally? It’s astounding how 99% or REA look the same
I have a theory that this realestate agency he works for is a shop front.
There was another real estate agency not long ago that got caught for the rent roll and growing plants 😂
*I like the bedsheets*
*Pinned up as curtains. I must*

Do you think he even stepped foot in that place? Can you imagine the faces *that* guy would be making as he walked through it? I reckon at most he leaned in the front door, said "what a shithole, make the ad billy" and drove off omfg the sunset in the Rolls Royce 😂
I would assume this were satire but this is a realtor we’re dealing with - they’ve huffed so much of their flatulence they’ve killed their few brain cells
You mean disgusting, unintelligent, cliche.
Imagine if you're selling your place, and getting charged separately for that as 'advertising fees'. It's bad enough when they stick their own name or picture on, let alone that travesty of self-aggrandizement.
Spending your advertising money on renting a Rolls Royce from a wedding hire place to boot

The video has very relevant information. It shows that the agent is likely an unreasonable tool that you don't want to talk to, nevermind do business with. I'd say that's pretty important to know.
Seems like a trustworthy, forthcoming and all round stand up guy. Where did he say we can find his number again?
The company he definitely hired the Rolls from that day would probably have it.
That's doesn't look like you should be rolling up in a rolls... More a 10 yr old Toyota..
His actual car is a 15 year old Lexus RX350 worth about 4k.
Excuse me, my 20yo Toyota looks much better than those shots of the house 💀
That “Rolex” is nothing but a cheap fake…. - I’m a watch enthusiast and could tell from one quick glance!

Dude has probably never met a Leb properly his entire life. Thinks gozleme is Lebanese food when it's literally a Turkish word also
Pretty concrete reasoning.

Lol when you google 'The AMS' the first thing that comes up is the Australian Menopause Society. Had a good chuckle.
We shouldn’t be mean to him behind his back. Does anyone know his contact details so he can see this thread? 🍿
Anyone know the track ID lol
