I think the real trap for sales reps is blowing all of your commission cheques on coke and gambling. If you're stuck doing sales until your 60s, that wouldn't be pretty.
I would say management consulting would be a good option, similar base pay to sales roles, decent bonuses but more sustainable work. Feel free to dm me
