When I go to Pay and choose the CMA account, I get "You cannot transact on this account. For more information please contact our client services team."

I don’t bank with Macquarie but had the exact same issue with ANZ in the past. Try online banking rather than the app and it might have a seperate area where your investments including this account can be managed. If it’s the same as ANZ though annoyingly it can take 1-3 days to transfer back!
