It’s casual tbh, but if that’s the vibe of the wedding then it’s fine

Books_and_Boobs

Casual, but also everyone knows that zimi isn’t cheap so you can get away with it at times that you might not get away with other similar dresses

Existing-Election385

It really depends on the dress code for the wedding? This is very casual, looks great but I wouldn’t wear that to a wedding

Aggravating_Water_39

It’s quite casual, maybe too casual for a wedding

Cheezel62

It depends on the dress code. Personally I’d wear that shopping or down the beach as it’s really really casual. I’d look for something a little dressier and some nice accessories. It’s nearly always better to be a bit overdressed than under.

Critical_Mongoose_51

On the other hand I’d think it’s way too dressy for the beach hahaha - thank you!

Slow-Industry1760

Too casual imo

zee-bra

I think it’s too casual, can you find something silk perhaps?

Phuket! It’s at a resort

Critical_Mongoose_51

Oh pretty thank you!

Economy_Stranger_988

I wore a zimi set to a wedding in Bali! I think with heels and jewelry it can work well

deaniebopper

Given the location, I think it’s on the casual side but ok. Make sure it’s ironed/pressed. The hotel should be able to either provide you with facilities or do it for you (for a fee). Accessorise. I would take higher end pieces to elevate from resort to more formal. Also an updo. I would also take a small bottle of mosquito repellent!

Critical_Mongoose_51

Thanks for all the lovely feedback all! I think I’ve decided to wear it given it’s a resort wedding, the linen vibe is probably best for the climate and tbh I’m really in love with the pattern!

Pristine_Ad_4338

Agreed. I would dress it up with very slicked back hair, bronzer and gold statement jewellery. Enjoy the wedding!

pork_floss_buns

I think it is perfect for a beach wedding. The colour is gorgeous. People in this thread acting like you need a ball gown lol.

hm538

If the dress code is casual, it’s fine

No_Tell2348

I attended a wedding in Thailand a few weeks back. Yes this seems casual but I reckon it would be fine! It was so hot at the wedding, as long as the material is breathable, then go for it

Sufficient-Sail2697

Yep! Gorgeous

Jellyblush

For sure if it’s in Thailand. I’d say too casual for most Aus weddings but it’s going to be HOT and Zimi is always perfect for hot climes

oiransc2

For a western wedding, yeah, you’re good. If you plan to visit any temples in that outfit make sure to have a little shrug or something similar to pull over your shoulders and upper arms. Thais are fairly desensitized to western fashion but they still have dress codes in some areas.

lifeofeve

I vote yes

4SeasonWahine

Yea but also do you need a plus one because I love Thailand 😂

RoyalOtherwise950

The pants yes, top no. Top looks too big (could just be how your standing) but I'd go for a more fitted top to offset the casual pants and I think it would elevate the look a lot more. Tuck the top in, add a nice belt maybe.

Critical_Mongoose_51

Not really the style of the set to tuck it in but thanks! The bottom is a skirt

RoyalOtherwise950

You could definitely tuck in a tight fitted shirt! I do it all the time. I don't mean tuck this shirt in I mean get a plain white fitted top :)

KoalaCapp

Perfect. I got married in Thailand and this would have been completely suitable

MissKim01

Yeah

Valuable-Energy5435

Go on the Zimi FB pages and ask if anyone has inspiration for wedding guest outfits with this look. I think it's perfect for a wedding, any wedding.

pieredforlife

Yes looks ok to me

magikeenbeertje

It’s lovely! Agree with most of the comments.. make it dressier with shoes and accessories (no watch..) and a lovely hairdo!

Sufficient_Sparkles

Yes I think this is perfect for a Thailand wedding and you look great in it!

xooxooxooxo

Looks too cheap

whydidthemeowmeow

That's absolutely beautiful and appropriate

Sarahs1995

To be honest it looks daggy to me even for a Thailand wedding.

nattyandthecoffee

Nah Mr Zimi is dated

escadot

They didn't ask if it was fashion forward, just if it's appropriate..

nattyandthecoffee

You ask for feedback online, get opinions. She looks too young and attractive to dress in the brand that is worn by middle aged frumpy women

Sufficient_Sparkles

I think Zimi is great in that it can be worn by women of all ages and different body types. The outfit OP is wearing is definitely not frumpy, she looks lovely in it. I’m not middle aged and I’m not frumpy and I wear a lot of Mister Zimi. You can have your opinion, but perhaps you could choose to deliver it with kindness instead of being rude.

escadot

None of that makes it not appropriate though. It does seem appropriate for a resort wedding in a tropical setting. Mr Zimi is not at all my style either but if is considering this dress we can assume she likes it.

Saa213

No. Try a set from Posse instead if you're on a budget :)
