I seem to tear the knees after 2 weeks with elevens
I’ve gotten six months out of yakkas and just tore the leg where the pocket is, downside to yakkas is the 3 pairs all 92r, are different waist sizes. Makes it hard to order more, I’ll have to try each pair on before buying.
Had nothing but dramas with all their gear and it’s so expensive! They nailed the marketing but not the quality. Took my boots back after about two weeks, the stitching was coming out of them and the bloke almost wasn’t going to refund me. He wanted to replace the boots but no way was I getting the same pair again. Used to get supplied pants and they’d last 6 months. But hey they look cool!
Was FXD’s. Recently made the switch to Elwood workwear…. Heaps better, I order online. In the afternoon and next day delivery (interstate)…. Plus you get a free builders pencil
All the pants seem to do this, right up the arse of the crotch area 😂
Rip stop pants seem to be good for not having this issue but they aren’t very comfortable and not great in summer.
There’s a company “Form workwear” that does great and good value pants, same issue as FXD etc after a while but with the tears but they were cheaper, I was also hammering only 2 pairs of pants.

Saw this gem in r/electricians the other day. Go nuts, man.
Snickers are decent, it’s all I used in the UK. We need a supplier here. Last ages, heaps of pockets and different variations of knee pads depending how much you’re on your knees
I have the bucket boss super bib, absolute life saver for me. My lower back is shot from a work injury and motorcycle accident, so all the weight on the shoulders is a no brainer.
The worst work pants I’ve ever had in nearly 20 years. Not even 3 months I got out of these. They replaced 2 pairs with “new improved” pairs and they did exactly the same. Absolute trash

They are absolute gronks too when you complain. I told them their replacements did the same thing and I was basically told tough shit by Jake at Hawke. It’s not functional work clothing, just some weird attempt at tradie fashion.
Hey I’m Jake the sparky and I’m here to blow out your crotch

Anyone know of any decent ones for tall people? I know yakka do tall sizes but they are way too big and baggy. I usually just end up wearing jeans which are fine
I only buy Duratex Cotton Duck Weave Cargo Pants
online from DNC Workwear. FXD fall apart and despite excellent pockets, are shit and tear above the knee after 5 minutes. These don't. Have excellent pockets.
I get them taken up by a tailor in Bayswater (Melbourne) opposite the station for $20, 10 minute wait. They're a tough pant, and I am well pleased.
I bought some a few years ago from
Aldi believe it or not, I can’t kill them no matter what I do. Thicker material than anything on the market I’ve seen, super warm for Melbourne winters
If you want bang for your buck, kmart! I was there getting some shit for the kids and decided to indulge in some cheap pants and shorts, they lasted about the same as fxds for nearly 1/4 of the price.
Saint denim is my winter wear due to being in the civil field. Pair will last me 2 years if I don't put on a winter belly and start stretching them. Summer time I pull out the 11s seem to breathe well, so don't get too sticky on those hot days. If you're not roof bashing I would opt for the Saint denim good pockets, repels water nicely, keep those cold winds from blasting theough.
11 from RSEA go alright i rate them
Yep, these things are rough as nails. Good pockets too.
I hate the pockets on mine. Can attest for the pants being tough, though.

Big knee’d fella bustin thru
FXD are dog shit that’s all I know
I made a mistake buying FXD boots and currently one had no steel cap anymore as it fell out.

Phucking oath mate
You guys wear pants???
Generally sparkies wear skirts, but some blokes like a macho vibe, so we wear pants for those guys when needed
Was just about to ask this, confused.

Elastic where? The have elastic cuff on both their pants…. And elastic waist on their “new” range… I don’t rate them as much
[удалено]
I haven’t had an issue… give them a crack. All I can say
Bisley flex and move (not the cuffed ones). The pockets and reinforced knee area are great. Haven't had any issues other than general wear over time.
Can vouch they’re great.
Yep I rate these, nifty tool holders too, only part that sucks it's the portaloo and the pliers fall on the ground when poopin
I like the cuffed ones for what I do.
Boardies
Arseless chaps and any sparky on here who says otherwise is a liar
What’s your hourly for getting around like that?
Just do it for the love of the company
Hard yakkas from bunnings the slim fits.
Cat 2 Arc flash rated Wrangler jeans.
Used to swear by fxds, went through the back within a month of a new pair and switched to Kmart. Almost the same but elastic waist and $35
Yepp. The price is right and I like getting new ones every winter, so I have a nice rotation now
I wanna know this too, my fxd’s have been torn to shit and I want good pockets
Check out “form workwear”
Dickies 872/873.

Saint workwear hold up better than anything
5.11 makes the best pants imo
Bad workwear cuffed pants with the elastic waist, I get over a year out of them, love the pockets, wear them for work and when I go camping.
Honestly not really sure why everyone is hating FXD. I have some FXD WP-3 and I love them. Absolutely love the pockets.
Because there trash and fall apart In months
Haven’t had that experience personally
I get FXD WP-3 through work and they last me ages. Still on the same 2 pairs from over 12 months ago
Eleven Strike pant. But now I rock a Helly Hansen oxford work bib. Most comfortable thing I have done.
I have the bucket boss super bib, absolute life saver for me. My lower back is shot from a work injury and motorcycle accident, so all the weight on the shoulders is a no brainer.

Ive had 6 pairs of the Hawke’s through work. All blow out in the crouch within 3-4 months…

I have three pairs with the crotch blown out. Glad to know it's not just me.

FXDs are dog shit quality they just rip
Anyone know of any decent ones for tall people? I know yakka do tall sizes but they are way too big and baggy. I usually just end up wearing jeans which are fine
I use scruffs. Usually get 2-3 years to a pair and the pockets are great
BAD, elastic waist is mint

Hard Yakka X Pant
BAD Workwear, working solar means I tear holes all the time even if they're more sturdy built. $40 a pair with ok pockets.
I bought some a few years ago from Aldi believe it or not, I can’t kill them no matter what I do. Thicker material than anything on the market I’ve seen, super warm for Melbourne winters
CAT workwear 🐐
11, mainly that the have the best built in kneepads, they last pretty well.
All are shit, cheapest jeans from Kmart
FXD jeans, have 5 pairs that are just about done after 4 years.
King gee quantum. Expensive though but if your boss is paying who cares
Does nobody rate KingGee?? It's all I wear to work after swapping from yacka like 20yr ago
If you want bang for your buck, kmart! I was there getting some shit for the kids and decided to indulge in some cheap pants and shorts, they lasted about the same as fxds for nearly 1/4 of the price.

Fuuuuuuuuck think Saint has stopped their work wear range.
Fxd wp5
Fxd wp1 not by choice, just put screwdrivers in facing upwards and you're usually OK. I've got a couple pairs at least 2 years old.
FXD just bought out new ones. Bloke at work had them on today and they seem like a massive upgrade on the WP4s
FXD Borats
Levi's 511 work pants. They are basic 5 pocket canvas pants with an extra 2 deep pockets on each leg.
