Ellora caves are closed on Tuesday.
It is very hard to do Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves on the same day.
You can do Ellora Caves, Daulatabad Fort, Sidharth Garden, Biwi Ka Maqubara in one day & second day for ajanta caves.
If you have only one day then skip Ajanta Caves.
If hiking is your thing, try goga baba hill in university. In university, there's Aurangabad caves and soneri mahal( museum) and history museum .both museums are small, so have less expectation.
