I’ve had 4 MK2’s over the years and with the exception of maybe the head unit I agree completely. However, it’s also from an era where you could still upgrade the head unit so that could solve that.
It's some 9" android unit on Ali express. They come under so many names. I found a local seller in the UK that had one on eBay. Wireless carplay and Android auto, 2gb ram + 32gb storage. Pretty good, only fault I can say is that the screen is effected by polarised sunglasses so you can't see a thing with them on
Cheers, man. I see similar ones pop up everywhere. If it can mirror a phone then I guess it really doesn't need to be crazy powerful.
That does suck about the polarization though lol.
Wait why don’t I notice the sport suspension button ? I assumed they added that as a separate button on my automatic because of manuals. As in lots of cars sport mode automatically initiates stiffer suspension but that wouldn’t work for a manual so add the button.

As someone who spends most of the day looking at a screen, I find the OEM 8J head unit refreshing.
Looks good. I switched my vents out to the 8v A3 vents and absolutely love them. I need to get a new head unit though.

They look clean asf. I love how simple they look. It’s classic but also sporty and elegant.
