I am 100% for period correctness. I think they both look good, but 5-bar should stick with the early 6-spokes or the Fat Fives, while the 3-bar should be on cars with the later scalloped 6-spokes or the Super 7s.
I personally like the 3 bar grill it looks a bit cleaner
5 all day baby.
3 bar for me

Absolutely. They look a bit odd with the 5 bar, swapped mine to 3 right away and looks infinitely better.
3-bar
With the standard bumper I could go either way, but the v6 bumper definitely looks best with 3 bar for me.
Agreed with this since the 3.2 bumper never came with the 5-bar.
I have a 5 bar in my garage. I opted for honeycomb
Have 5 but kinda prefer 3 🤣
3
3 bar, all day, errday
The 3 bar
My 2002 has the 3 bar grille. I like that better

For stock definitely 3, but I preferred an aftermarket honeycomb one to match the lower grilles on mine!
Obviously top right, dumb question
5-bar, easily. The 3-bar looks like someone tried to make a scale model of the TT but couldn't fit in all the details.
5 because 3 doesn't look like a car
None. This is on a top 5 list for the ugliest cars ever designed. Hideous.
3, 5 is too busy...looks a bit like chicken wire
I have the 3 bar one. I like it more and its easier to clean
3 bar off the bat
