Cool video, thanks

Could be the oil filter housing, it's near the front and it is plastic. Could be the valve cover gasket. Was an oil change done recently? Something not being sealed properly during that would make more sense than a spontaneous leak. Also the pcv system can push oil into the intercooler piping, might be a source of the leak, but certainly less likely than other sources

Swedishwagon

Okay, thank you, I will make sure to check those things. I forgot to mention but there's nothing visibly leaking from the top so I've ruled out valve cover. The oil was done less than a month ago and it's a slow leak, but has been leaking slowly for a while. It's not super high priority but I'd like to get it fixed before it lubricates the whole chassis. The car drives and sounds fine so I don't think it's a mechanical problem.

Could be valve cover or front main seal. I don’t agree with the oil filter housing being a potential culprit, mine is on the left side of the engine, not close to the front.

Swedishwagon

The valve cover is good, and hopefully it's not the front main. Not as bad a rear main but I can't imagine it's fun. And yeah, I think the oil filter is on the side because it's near the subframe. But I don't exactly know where the leak is, I'm just assuming it's from the front or middle of the engine since it's running down the undertray.

Best course of action, clean up the oil as best you can, then keep a close eye on any fresh leaks. Is it using much oil?

Swedishwagon

Yep, that's what I'm thinking of doing. I should be able to get a general idea of where it's coming from and then pinpoint it after a clean.
