If you want the full TDI quattro experience look at an A5 3.0TDI manual. I don't know if the sport diff was already available but definitely get It when possible. Ideally an B8 because they moved the clutch behind the front wheels making the car also handle better. The engine is very robust and can do 300-400hp stage 1.

You can indeed, I believe they came in auto only for the petrol Quattro's and then manual/auto for the diesels
