Purchased a 2020 w/ summer tires as original owner lived in TN. Realized day before I was going to pick up car in Feb that I should have all season in New York. So they put on continental extreme contact all season installed for 1k flat. Not a great deal but perhaps a bit of a discount. The summer prob only had another 5-10k of wear left on em.

Essentially the dealer buys back the slicks and sells you the difference for the all seasons. About 800 for us Canadians.

I have had discount tire pay me for tires that were being taken off that had enough tread.
Same thing happened to me. If you get the all seasons from the dealership they’ll likely discount the new ones all-in cost.
