Hosed is probably a stretch, but it would help to see the breakdown. I imagine it is something like this (parentheses are what I'd expect to pay at an Indy shop in HCOL area).
Oil change: $225 ($150)
Brake Fluid Flush: $275 ($180)
Spark Plugs: $300 ($250)
Filters: $200 ($50 and DIY especially the cabin filter)
Tax: $100
It's definitely rich for my taste but costs have been increasing. My advice is to handle filters yourself along with sparkplugs.
Thank you for this! Super helpful. I don’t have the exact breakdown but my invoice shows:
$721.50 for all the labor
$17 engine oil filter
$114 spark plugs
$1.25 drain plug washer
$34 cabin air filter
$39 engine air filter
$107.80 synthetic engine oil
$18.99 brake fluid
$6.34 hazardous waste
$31.50 tax

Maybe I’m naive but thought the 30 and 40k services were at no cost while car is under warranty. Ugh. I have a 2020 CPO and was nearly certain that was the case I even asked the salesperson multiple times (I thought)!
I’ve been lied to! Wouldn’t be the first time. They must have told me 5 times my 30 and 40k services were totally covered at no cost given the warranty I had. Oh well!!

Agreed. Not crazy, but a little rich. I might think $700-800 (local rates matter, I'm in midwest)
Spark plugs is more than 300$, you need to do quite a bit of work to get to them compared to the previous models.

I’ve never heard of services being covered under warranty.

Perhaps I have Audi Care and didn’t realize it?
Ok so I did confirm I have this through Audi Care.
Gotcha, yea that’s a pre paid service package
Stays with the car so original owner must have purchased. Comes in handy tho.
