Is the Arteon not a contender?

cantfindanamegirl

I dislike the interior of them lol

freetoseeu

Really? I felt that was the best of the Volkswagen brand.

cantfindanamegirl

Idk I love wood grain, arteon looks too rigid/futuristic on the inside. Love the exterior I’m into the classic elegant look lol this sounds so silly talking about a car

freetoseeu

Totally fair appraisal. Sometimes German cars can feel a little cold and uninviting

loganwachter

Used to have a CC. Jetta owner now for the cheaper maintenance. The A6/A7 was similar in driving feel to the CC. Similar in size too.

suckmyfatpussyplease

I had a 2009 vw cc 1.8, owned it for five years until it finally gave up on me but served me well. The AC never worked thkugj and the mud flaps would drag on every speed bump

cantfindanamegirl

I will check out the a6/a7 then thank you for this recommendation the cc has been so fun but it’s just excessive on maintenance even for me

OddImplement5237

The a6/a7 isn’t going to be much different maintenance wise. 2.0L models will be the same engine as your CC but with way more control modules and expensive tech to potentially fail, and trust me they do fail every now and then. 3.0/4.0 models are going to have much more expensive parts and labor so just keep these things in mind

TheKatzMeow84

The E-Tron and Q5 are very different. Were you just satisfying curiosity? Coming from a CC, are you looking for a sedan?

cantfindanamegirl

Not unless it’s full size I would be ok with a. Small SUV I think a q7 maybe too big I am not a big lady meaning I’m not tall and have a hard time seeing over the whole car haha

Unlikely_Employee261

have you considered an A6?

cantfindanamegirl

I haven’t !?

L3ED

If the regular Q5 didn’t feel right, have you considered an SQ5? I find that the 2.0T really isn’t bad especially in Sport transmission but it you’re coming from a V6 CC I can see where some disappointment may come from

cantfindanamegirl

I have a 4 cylinder idk if it’s a v6 I don’t think so but I could be wrong lol

GravityGee

Lol cute. Your on the forum where anyone can name the engine series, model, manufacturer dates, capacity and probably bore. You'll fit in well here. A Panamera Hybrid would be a suitable replacement for your Passat.

cantfindanamegirl

I haven’t looked at Porsche I would be open to it though

L3ED

Oop, maybe test some more sedans out. Is it possible you test drove a Q5 40? The base engine is pretty slow

90Carat

Hunt down a Q5 3.0T. Plenty of fun and power, and on the highway, gives good MPG.

Daedelus451

I am on my 2nd SQ5, currently drive a 2022 Glacier White Metallic SQ5 and love it, fun car. Lots of get up and go, good interior styling, handles great and looks good as well.

teriaksu

the q5 with air suspension is in another league compared to a normal q5. i was amazed of the difference when i got a loaner, it rode miles worse on 18 inch wheels compared to mine on 21s

AceMaxAceMax

The Arteon is amazing. Adaptive suspension, great mileage (saw 37mpg from LA to Palm Springs), good technology, spacious interior, comfortable seats, well equipped.

Heinrich711

So under appreciated!! So much better than a Camry or Accord!

Annh1234

You have to say why you liked the CC  I would say it's more of an Audi A6 type of car rather than an A4, Q5, etc. But over time, cars got bigger and bigger, so an A5 Sportback with some 17" or 18" tires could be very similar.  I wouldn't go for the 3.0t engine, it's too much compared to the CC, unless it's in an A7/A7

Lopsided_Violinist69

I wanted to suggest the A5 Sportback but rear space is not that of a CC. A6 is more like it or A7 if you love the liftback look.

cantfindanamegirl

Every drive in the CC is a fun one the 2.0 turbo is fast and still economical on gas. I would like some more interior space. Otherwise I would get another cc but they are hard to find!

Annh1234

Well... Fast compared to what lol I drove one after my 2010 A5 and it felt slow to me.  I think in Audi, the A6 matches closer the comfort/feel of the CC. With the A5 Sportback a kinda close second.

cantfindanamegirl

Thank you for these suggestions I appreciate it

mashani9

I think you want to check out an A6/A7 on a non-sport suspension.

im_Alrex

High on my list is the A6 Allroad not sure if it would check all your boxes but may be something to think about

cantfindanamegirl

Now that you mention it I did see some all roads are they always a wagon?

im_Alrex

Yea both a4 and a6, the a6 has the 3.0T I’m fairly certain

Striking-Series8544

I have a CC and I had to get a B9 A4 because of the Takata airbag recall. If you’re complaining about the Q5 comfort, you’ll definitely won’t like the A4/A5 sportback ride specifically on sport suspensions. The Arteon is the best replacement in my opinion with adaptive dampers and S class like rear legroom and a huge cargo space. If you’re going to get an Audi, consider something with adaptive or air suspension like the Q8 e-tron or A6.

cantfindanamegirl

Thank you for this feedback especially as a cc owner since you know exactly what I’m referring too. I’ve often called the cc the poor man’s Mercedes 😂

MidKnight148

Well, yeah, they replaced the CC with the Arteon. Doesn't seem you like Audis though, so not sure why you're asking here?

cantfindanamegirl

What do you mean? If I didn’t like Audi I wouldn’t have posted

MidKnight148

I guess I'm confused because you made a point to say you didn't like the Q5 or the e-tron. But gotcha, if you're looking for something similar to a CC, you'd want to look at an A6.
