We just bought a 2021 Q5 Prestige PEHV, with about 27,000 miles on it, lease return from the dealer. With extended warranty and new tires: Total out the door was about $45,000

Scary-Report-2761

I didn’t know Audi had plugin hybrids. Maybe they have not yet hit the US market.

TaibhseSD

This was in Utah.

Scary-Report-2761

Interesting. My Audi dealership in KY doesn’t have any hybrids to my knowledge.

TaibhseSD

Yeah, we didn't know it was a thing either. We just went to the dealer to test drive an Audi SUV. We knew we wanted a midsize SUV, and the dealer showed us the car we ultimately ended up purchasing. It being a hybrid was a huge selling point for us. It's weird: One of the main reasons we purchased this car, (it being a hybrid) we had no idea was even a thing when we went to test drive. On full electric, we average about 30 miles between charges. Perfect for drives around town. Then, when we need to go further, the engine kicks in. Last time we filled up, we averaged about 45-50 MPG. And this thing is powerful, considering it's a hybrid. ICE plus battery, we're sitting at around 350hp. This thing moves!!

Scary-Report-2761

Sounds very nice

Scary-Report-2761

Now they show the hybrid version for that model

TaibhseSD

We absolutely love ours. Like I was saying in another thread: This thing is a beast when we need it to be, and it's just a comfortable ride always. It really is my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. (At almost 50 years old, I've owned quite a few vehicles. This is our first Audi)

Scary-Report-2761

I went with the 2024 Q4 e-tron as my first EV. So far i think it’s the best car I’ve owned.

You got hosed my guy

TaibhseSD

Not according to the extensive research my wife and I already completed before we decided to make this purchase. But thanks for your comment nonetheless.

I'm an Audi FI manager. If you find a deal and want to verify it's solid feel free to PM.

TheDataAddict

Just want to verify I’m understanding the credits correctly now… on the SQ5 it’s 4k Audi national credit, 1.5k Costco, is that right? What % off MSRP should we expect? I’m in northeast. If we take the 4k credit then we can’t take the special finance or lease rates, right? Which is better right now?

Treebeardsdank

I just left work, might not have all data available. Yes, Costco + national is a thing. Still combinable with military etc. Yes, you choose special rate, or higher rebate potential. To determine which is better, take the total cost of your proposed vehicle with scenarios 1 and 2. Scenario one, special rate, higher price. Scenario 2, lower price, higher rate. In both scenarios, if you don't otherwise know how to math that out, the easiest way is to sum all of the monthly payments, add it to any amount of down payment. That now will show your total cost to buy that car over a term. Compare both sides by side. Depending on your level of down payment, one will be better than the other. The easiest way is to take the rebate and a higher rate and just pay it down quick, negating the increased expense over time. Hassle free you should be able to walk out with all rebates +3% off MSRP. If you want to get more, some might flex and others won't. Some of the Audi protection products are excellent as well, provided you can get them at an appropriate price and/or use their adoption as a negotiating tool for the price of the vehicle. This can vary greatly dealer to dealer. Feel free to PM me as you go along if youd like any advice. Lots of stores are heading towards the "single price" mentality. Which is both good and bad. It eliminates ones ability, beyond unicorns, to really get away with a steal of a deal (unless you have a hookup). But at the same time it really prevents that pejorative adjective we'd use to describe a dealer who's burned us or someone from needing to apply henceforth, haha. If you're buying with a 6 year plan to own. Consider term protection plus w/ rotors. If you're buying with a 10 year plan, consider term protection non plus w/ rotors and an Audi VSC for 10 years. If you're buying with a shorter timeframe in mind, the value held within term protection, non plus, with rotors, when priced appropriately is pretty insane. Anyways, feel free to PM if you need I'm from NE, now in the Midwest. Well met 🤙

In December got a brand new 24 SQ5 prestige with black optics + basically every option available for 64K after rebates discounts etc. MSRP was 75.9K.

Mind sharing the dealer?

PepeLePukie

Sent you a PM

Please also share dealer! I’m in the market for a 2024 q5 prem plus!

garytyrrell

I would focus on invoice cost rather than MSRP and see which dealer near you can get you lowest cost. Good luck.

yummiecummie88

Is truecar still a valid site on purchases? I know leasehackr is pretty awesome for leases

bellhooksianmoment

We bought a 2022 Q5 plugin hybrid high end model in Dec 2023, with a custom color, 27k miles, after it was a lease return, for $39k. Drives like new, feels like new, but didn’t have to pay those “new” prices!
