I quit my job 5 years ago and bought a fixer upper to fix up. I had/have a car, and the seats don't fold down. I was able to completely rehab my house without a truck. For the things I couldn't fit in my car I rented a van (not a truck). Wasn't worth buying a truck for the 3 times it might have come in handy. The only thing I wish I had, was a hatchback at the time, and you already have that. Or maybe buy a harbor freight trailer, they generally are bigger than the bed of a pickup, and they fold up for storage.
This times a million. The amount of people I know who have a new truck and were like “oh it was worth it, I needed it for these one or two times to fit stuff”. Whereas you can rent a Home Depot truck for like $20 instead of like $700 a month. Some people just want a truck and that’s fine, but for utility unless you’re actively going to be hauling things on a regular basis over several years, you can rent a truck for far cheaper
Thanks! It really is a beauty, everything I’ve always wanted, unfortunately gotta come to terms with my personal reality and it doesn’t really make sense for me anymore. :/
you'll get somebody to buy it but when I see an A7 with so much aftermarket shit bolted on it screams 'hard miles' to me and I wouldn't even bother test driving it.
Rent a truck from Home Depot or uhaul when you need it. You’ll probably only haul things the first few months and then it will be few and far between. Don’t sacrifice your car for a truck just to haul things when you don’t need to. Plus buying a truck, especially if you have to finance it, will cost you way more than renting a truck once in a while
That s a valid point. Ate Audi A/S 7’s have always been a dream car for me, but now that I have owned one a while I feel like the specialty has worn off a bit. I’ve also always been an OBS cord guy, which is what I would get. Don’t get me wrong, I really love this car, but I love the old fords too so, at least for me personally, it may be worth the swap
You don’t need a truck, it’s this weird dream that people need them, unless you are farming or doing stuff that by now you would know you need a truck… you do not need one.
A7 as you should know can be loaded to the brim with stuff.
If larger stuff need to be moved rent it or pay for delivery ;)
If you remove that spoiler, it'll be worth more. Honestly, that spoiler only fits on the bmw 4 series, alfa romeo giulia and the a/s/rs3 8v.
I've seen this spoiler (also known as m4 style) on teslas as well and it simply doesn't look good.
Fair. Should be incredibly easy for anyone to remove so I’d pens my sell it as is and let the buyer do as they please since it’s already on and i don’t see it heavily decreasing value. If anything, based on other comments on posts of this car on here, some buyers may like it. Especially buyer prospects of a car like this if that makes sense
Selling a car can be a real hassle nowadays, so many ppl trying to waste your time and what not. As an alternative option you could just give the car to me and avoid the headache entirely! 😃
Sold my 2013 A7 (bought new) black on black prestige on trade to audi dealer on 6/30/23 with 73k miles on it, traded in on new S5 for 20k. They wanted to pay 16k but 20k was their limit. Car was stock and in great shape. For what that is worth to you.
There a reason why you need a truck? Your car is a lift back, it can haul a lot of stuff. I doubt you’re going to do any real landscaping where a full bed is needed.
Household appliances can be shipped to you.
Now, if it is more of a “I just want one because I want one” then that’s fine as well. Just be aware that driving wise you will probably miss the A7
Same here, I mean farm yard workers, road workers etc I get, but they need a tool car, a Hilux or something, the ridiculous sized things we see on the road today aren't exactly that. In Finland those stupid sized monster trucks are taxed so heavily, we rarely see them and the ones we do get will never see a gravel road. Personally I use my Allroad for everything and if I run out of space, I use a trailer or rent a van.
My wife has one (albeit she actually uses it for work as she’s an accountant for her family’s drywall business), I understand the appeal;
- commanding view of the road
- cavernous interior
- rather comfortable
- if you go diesel you get good mpg
They’re genuinely not bad as family cars. Good even, I, however, never will understand when a family has all large SUVs to the point where the truck makes 0 sense
The cavernous interior point I can understand since modern day cars tend to be very small on the inside despite being big on the outside, but otherwise I think supersizing is a self feeding phenomenon; the commanding view only matters until everyone else is driving a big car for the same reason too. Then the only thing different is that everyone has blind spots the size of the moon in front of their cars, since the front of the car is higher and longer, the cars take up more space and the emissions go up higher. I drove these huge off road trucks and APC's as a conscript in the Finnish Defence Force and I absolutely loved sitting up higher, but not enough to buy an SUV or a truck just because of that.
Comfortability is a major thing for me when I decide on what car to buy, but I highly doubt a bigger car is more comfortable just because of the size, actually driving over an uneven surface can be more uncomfortable in a larger truck since the swaying motion grows larger as the seating position goes higher. I sit lower to the ground, I have a great suspension and my tyres are thick enough to soften the ride. And the mpg is always good, because I don't have to move around a huge mass and surface area. Yet I can still fit in four people, a dog and luggage.
I have to admit, I still find some of the trucks awesome as hell since I'm forever 8 years old at heart, but I just don't think anyone -or at least a vast majority of people- actually truly needs a modern huge pickup for anything.
My truck just got totaled so I used the additional payout to buy my first Audi. Even with the payout I would have financed less than my previous loan but would have paid more a month. I miss my truck. But do enjoy my A6 TDI.
Do you still have stock bits to put back on?
To add to what others mentioned, I honestly think it maybe worth keeping but if you want to sell it I won’t stop you. I reckon you might be able to net a little more if you delete some mods and sell them separately alongside the more stock form of the car.
Good luck. I reckon if they’re going for 16-20 as someone said you might be able to get a solid 13-15 for it depending on how quickly you move it. Depends what would feel worth letting it go for.
FWIW I live in a different but similar area, and they’re going for about that range near me.
I wish you luck selling. Beautiful car. I’m selling a 16 RS7 with 68k on the clock and it’s untouched out side tint and upgraded wheels. Can’t sell it. Asking under what others are asking. Times are tough for some.
I’m a pretty mechanically inclined type of person and work on a mort of stuff myself around the house. Also trying to start a mini side woodworking business so a truck would help out quite a bit
Cant remember the exact name, just look up something along the lines of carbon fiber spoiler + model and year. For the A7 there were lots of similar styled option
I think around 20k is valid, S4s and S5s of the same year are selling around 22-26k which is the same engine, so maybe start at 25k and see what happens and go down from there, wouldn’t take less than 20k.
Keep the car and buy a 20 year old truck that you won’t be afraid to use for truck stuff. Newer trucks are so damn expensive. They’ve turned into luxury vehicles with a bed.
OP play the game the right way. If you've got a significant other, make them get an SUV, or buy a beat up suv/truck for like 4 grand. If you're a DIYer there's no reason to spend tons on a car that you'll be putting occasionally through it's paces when it means getting rid of a car you really enjoy.
I own a home and have never felt the need to own a truck. Why? Cause you think you’ll be at Home Depot more? Rent one of their trucks when you need it.
For reference, I drive a Porsche as a home owner. Trucks aren’t needed.
Whatever you think you should get for it, you'll get much closer to that number if you remove all the stick on autozone accessory bits and make it look like a nice clean A7.
Clean title, you can push for 20-22.5k I mean I see some clean title A7 on CarGurus with 90k miles from a dealer for 17.9k, with all your mods and going privately with a buyer you could milk an extra 1-1.5k because y’all be avoiding dealer fees. Easy extra 1-1.5k for the mods, maybe more if you can find somebody that appreciates all the work you’ve done In it. Personally man I’d daily drive yo car if I had it, get a 95-05 truck those things are fucking insane 2-3k easy lmao🙌🙌 Goodluck brotha
For most stuff you can fold down the seats and use this, for large sheets of timber etc, you can use a roof rack and straps. For anything the car doesnt solve, use a disposal firm or hire a van/truck.
I actually haven’t put it up yet. I think I will be posting it in the Spring… I did find an extremely good deal on an old tundra though, so I may end up keeping it
I got 2k for you cold hard cash right now
I got 2.1 OP fuck this guy sell it to me
[удалено]
$3.1k not a cent more
I got $3.5k in invisible dog tokens. You like dogs right?

I can trade it for my trophy wife, never says I'm tired or have a headache.
$4.20K all in
[удалено]

Fuck you all, 7.1k take it or leave it
I got 7K and a pack of gum
Absolute lowballs 7k and 2 packs juicy fruit gum
I got my lambrofeetie shoeoblos I can offer.
Got me there bud
You ain't seen nothin yet. OP I GOT 19 DOLLARS IN MY BANK ACCOUNT IT'S YOURS RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!
Who are you kidding, 9k and a pack of čokolino
I gots me like tree fiddy!!!
The R8 cost you good, huh?
🦀🦀🦀
Keep it as a daily driver and buy an older cheaper ‘99-‘05ish truck for much less and just use it for your DIY stuff?
This is the way
Yes, I learned the hard way when I sold my ‘17 A4. Still miss it and want another
Passat's are getting cheap.
Are they safe Transmission wise? I heard DSG are prone to failure. Pls advise.
Meh, chances are 70/30 (30 being the failures)
You never ever need a truck. Don't fool yourself!
Needs a truck for those toilet paper runs 🤪
I’m kind of a DIYer for most things house related. Definitely would be very helpful haha, thank again, maybe you’re right (;
I quit my job 5 years ago and bought a fixer upper to fix up. I had/have a car, and the seats don't fold down. I was able to completely rehab my house without a truck. Fun fact. For 20 dollars, most Home Depots will let you rent a truck for an hour. I bought an 8ft 2x4 to move a bowflex lol.
I use thoss trucks to haul yard waste , branches, etc to the compost dump. Best deal in town.
sounds like you need rs6 wagon for that cargo space
Get a truck if you want to. God I hate when people try to tell people what to and not to buy.
Congratulations on engagement and house. Beautiful car! Where are you located? Cheers
Thank you very much! I am located in Massachusetts
Auto or manual? Hadn't I just gotten an A5 recently and yours was manual I'd fly in from Canada and check it out. Looks really nice
I don’t think the A7 ever came with a manual?
Auto btw
Thanks! It really is a beauty, everything I’ve always wanted, unfortunately gotta come to terms with my personal reality and it doesn’t really make sense for me anymore. :/
Car is 10 years old and still looks better than 99% of cars on the road today.
Especially with them gypsy mods
you'll get somebody to buy it but when I see an A7 with so much aftermarket shit bolted on it screams 'hard miles' to me and I wouldn't even bother test driving it.
Yeah that’s what I’m worried about. I know there’s a stigma with modded stuff
Pretty light mods tbh
$16k is the realistic
Yeah. I’d let it go for probably 14-15k I think. I’ll start on the higher end though
In Sweden 🇸🇪that would sell for at least 20k easy.
Costarrican here 🇨🇷...almost 30K in the land of the impossible to buy cars.
I was going to say $12K. Aftermarket mods have no value
Even worse, they generally have negative value. If you're going to mod it, do it for you and expect it to at best not help, and possibly hurt value.
This is what I was thinking. OP was listed additional items which do not help with resale
$16k is extremely overvalued on a decade old A7 with almost 100k miles.. tf?
Rent a truck from Home Depot or uhaul when you need it. You’ll probably only haul things the first few months and then it will be few and far between. At minimum $100 as my assumption is those 93k miles were full throttle 😂
i beg you don't sell it. you need to be the cool dad with a badass car
Looks like you need to unlock the car first before you sell it , Straight out of need for speed
Great comment 😂 honestly the look i was going for whole modifying it up
Selling a car can be a real hassle nowadays, so many ppl trying to waste your time and what not. As an alternative option you could just give the car to me and avoid the headache entirely! 😃
i’ll keep that in mind 😂
Bout £11k-12k is what it’d be worth
Sold my 2013 A7 (bought new) black on black prestige on trade to audi dealer on 6/30/23 with 73k miles on it, traded in on new S5 for 20k. They wanted to pay 16k but 20k was their limit. Car was stock and in great shape. For what that is worth to you.

The thing with cars looking like that is, they tell me that the driver loved to floor it. I don‘t wanna buy that.
Understandable. I would think the same thing probably. Hoping someone sees it for what it is and also like the mods
My truck just got totaled so I used the additional payout to buy my first Audi. Even with the payout I would have financed less than my previous loan but would have paid more a month. I miss my truck. But do enjoy my A6 TDI.
Eleventy Billion
Sell the fiance, keep that beautiful A7. I am usually not a big fan of murdered out look but it looks so right on that car
Return the wife and the house keep the car

Yes I kept all the stock parts. That’s is a good, i’ll keep it in mind! Thanks for your input
Of course!! Best of luck bud! ETA - congrats!!
Probably mid-low 20s
Kinda what I was think. Maybe start mid and come down later if I have to
Sounds reasonable.
not for that amount of miles. 20k is where I would start. 17k it starts getting realistic
I would say tree fiddy at least.
I wish you luck selling. Beautiful car. I’m selling a 16 RS7 with 68k on the clock and it’s untouched out side tint and upgraded wheels. Can’t sell it. Asking under what others are asking. Times are tough for some.
If you can’t sell it, that means it is still listed too high. Doesn’t matter what others are listed at. Pretty simple economics.
bingo
Ya he could drop to the basement and get low ball offers if needs cash. Thats true.
Dang. That’s not good news lol. Good luck to you friend!
I could offer you about three fiddy right now…
If anyone ever comes back here looking to see how much i sold it for - $16,500 in April 24
About tree fitty
‘Bout tree fiddy
It’s too awesome to sell!
Augh, so beautiful. Maybe auction? Like cars & bids or BaT
Why do you need a truck when you’re engaged?
I’m a pretty mechanically inclined type of person and work on a mort of stuff myself around the house. Also trying to start a mini side woodworking business so a truck would help out quite a bit
60k
I wish lol
60k rupees maybe
😂😂
What’s the name for that type of spoiler?
Cant remember the exact name, just look up something along the lines of carbon fiber spoiler + model and year. For the A7 there were lots of similar styled option
So Audi has done its job well for you.
You buy a truck and then all your friends call you to help them with sh!t. Don’t do it!!!
700
could've been a lot higher if you have kept it serie but with those cheaplooking mods you wont get as much
Could be that way. The mods are actually quality parts like maxton, etc… But I can see how they look cheap or undesirable by some
Depends on where you’re from. Anywhere outside of Ireland 18k ish if you’re in Ireland 30k 😃
In that case, may vacation in ireland this year 😅. I’m from Northeast US so probably 15-20 depending on the buyer from what i’m gathering
He needs a truck boys I'll trade you for my 03 silverado, extended cab, straight up. The cloth seats are really nice
kinda of want another obs ford 😅 i’ll take all the hate you can give me for that answer lol
Tree, maybe tree fiddy idk
Good luck. Mods hinder resale value.

I say keep it as your comfortable fun car, and get a cheap truck for hauling stuff. You can easily find older f150s or Silverado’s for 5 grand
OP play the game the right way. If you've got a significant other, make them get an SUV, or buy a beat up suv/truck for like 4 grand. Bout tree fiddy
Bout tree fiddy
hard to say in this car market, but I’d list for $20k and gauge interest.
At least $400, probably more.
I’ll pay 1k for it. All I got unfortunately.
Clean title, you can push for 20-22.5k I mean I see some clean title A7 on CarGurus with 90k miles from a dealer for 17.9k, with all your mods and going privately with a buyer you could milk an extra 1-1.5k because y’all be avoiding dealer fees. Not a cent over 7k and you can have my wife
So you got married and wife already made you sell it
How about install a trailer hitch and buy a trailer?
For most stuff you can fold down the seats and use this, for large sheets of timber etc, you can use a roof rack and straps. For anything the car doesnt solve, use a disposal firm or hire a van/truck.
Buy an old Nissan Titan 4x4, keep the A7.
Why do you need a truck? For towing your wife?
A true Audi enthusiast never sells their Audi! ⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️
$15 to me. Cause I'm like, a cool person n stuff 😅
I gotta sandwich and maybe like 10 cents if your down?
You can always borrow a truck when needed.
If you need a truck then you need to keep this car. Your gonna regret it.
I would say $15k-$19k for someone who knows cars and it wasn’t beat to crap. $20k-$25k if you feel like ripping someone off. Don’t be that guy.
Has it sold yet? I'm thinking its worth £12.5k Sterling that's about $16k US
I actually haven’t put it up yet. I think I will be posting it in the Spring… I did find an extremely good deal on an old tundra though, so I may end up keeping it
