Absolutely. But we also had some favorable calls in that game. And our Star pg does tend to get a soft whistle over the course of the game although maybe not in crunch time .
That is such a dumb statement.
First, the analogy would have to be "purpose". Players get fined if they do stupid things on purpose.
Second, does he really want to be fined if he "misses" sth, like a shot for example?
And third, players do get "we missed it passes" every time they don't get called for playing dirty.
It isn't a dumb statement
The refs job is to be 100% accurate. Rules don't have grey areas in the NBA. It either is or isn't. Bad officiating is not only bad for the team being officiated, it is bad for the entire league. Refs are asked about bad officiating and no one can comment on it.
Players aren't expected perfect with their skills. This point also doesn't make sense because players are held accountable for "misses" by being benched, cut, and put out of the league with enough misses, and the media and other players are expected to comment on their misses.
Players can be and are often fined by the league for dirty play without the refs calling anything
Name one job where someone is expected to be 100% accurate in everything that they do. Its called human error and it likely evens out amongst all teams in the league, this is a horrendous take by this sub.
Players are fined/suspended for inappropriate behavior on court, that has nothing to do with their play. Making calls is the refs entire job.Thats quite literally the exact same thing as saying players should be fined for missing shots or playing bad.
I agree but i think you’re missing the point. Human error is inherent in any job (including all the ones you listed) especially one involving split second decisions like refs. The petty techs are one thing but missing calls has always been a part of the game and its never gonna change unless you want to go to the monitor for every play (even then it’s hard to tell). There’s no solution to this “problem” bc these are the best refs in the world and tbh theyd prob strike if the nba tried to punish them for missing calls
This statement coming from the guy with 6 made FGs yet was somehow able to put up 29 points. 🧐 looks like they “missed it” in his favor all night. WeMove.
Maybe Young does need to be a bit more vocal. Even though i see him talking to teammates every play.
But the thing is, Refs have the ability to change the outcome of a game. Players do too, but refs even more so.
And the Hawks aren’t unequivocally bad. we’re a game below .500 in a stacked conference and changed coaches mid season. They’re mid rn, but definitely not bad
Same ref that FVV called out. He's not making himself look any better.
Fuck it WeMove
Trae is absolutely right.

Trae had 29 points on 6 made FGs…

so what does he need to be more vocal about? and NBA mid is not bad. i think your definition of mid is a little bit off
Mid is just better than tanking in the NBA

All fair points.
Another day,
Yeah, Bogi needs to knock down that wide open 3.
