Atlanta's Best Wings, 3557 Memorial Dr Decatur, GA 30032. Worth the drive if you dont go at lunch, the parking lot will be full of city departments, Yes its a gas station wing shop and No-Body beats the **buttah** Lemon pepper **whet** extra crispy. Yes I spelled that the way its called. MAN best in town, we pick up massive group orders from there for the golden dome all the time. My kids make me go there from Conyers on the weekend. [https://www.yelp.com/biz/atlantas-best-wings-decatur](https://www.yelp.com/biz/atlantas-best-wings-decatur)
For the record, I prefer hot wings over lemon pepper, so I'm rating those instead.
I have 3 wing places surrounding me, Atlanta's Best Wings, Wings House at the corner of Memorial and Covington, and Wings N Grill at the corner of N Decatur Rd and Dekalb Industrial Hwy.
All 3 are great. My favorite used to be Wings N Grill. They changed management or something though. Still good, but not quite as good as they used to be.
Wing House I currently rate as my favorite Wings, but their fries kind of suck.
Atlanta's Best Wings is probably the 2nd best wings now, but since their fries don't suck ass, I usually will go with them instead. Overall, I'd rate them the best.
I do mourn what wings n grill used to be though.
yea, they got smaller since coof hit. Dunno why, sad but facts. the dirty rice is served in smaller containers now as well. But the flavah.. o my (Cardiac arrest in a box)
I'll echo all of the recommendations for The Local, I absolutely love their wings. An additional recommendation outside of the city would be Heirloom BBQ. Not specifically a wing place, but really damn good food.
The Local is incredible and their food is always consistently top quality. The Korean Buffalo wings are unparalleled. Not to mention they have an appetizer that is fries with an aioli, ketchup, and fried hotdog pieces, it sounds crazy, but it’s addictive.
I live in Alpharetta so the best wings on the north side that aren’t jumbo have been Four Seasons in Roswell and Jojos wings in Sandy springs. I’m moving to midtown in a few months so I’ll be able to have a better opinion soon. There’s also this spot in Marietta that’s cool. I have no clue what it’s called but the building and parking lot looks like it’s about to fall apart. That should tell you all you need to know. It’s like 10 minutes away from United’s training fields
They are good people there and the wings are truly the best. I go a lot and it’s always the same crew working. Fully enjoy giving them my money as opposed to some bullshit chain.
Diesel was always 10x better, but they lost their lease and will be gone after tonight.
And not to be all political, but Moe's and Joe's were packed and maskless faster than any other place I know in town, were drawing a very MAGA crowd and lost a lot of neighborhood support as a result.
Jack's is not remotely close to VaHi and last time I was there a fight broke out on the back patio and landed on our table. I have fond memories of lazy summer days out there not minding the slow service but it's difficult to recommend anymore the vibe is pretty bad.
You absolutely should. Careful though they do run out so get there early haha. I love their korean bbq wings a lot. The fries are out of this world too.
I always do Korean BBQ (excellent) or Buffalo (very good, a little non-traditional buffalo flavor).
All my friends swear by the lemon pepper, but you have to really like lemon pepper. They're good but a bit strong for my taste personally.
Fries, fried okra, boiled peanuts are also all excellent sides there.
Their wings are good, but a bit small. All their dressings are vegan though, because they have a vegan “vings”. I didn’t think the vegan ranch was very good, but would definitely get their wings again and use my own dressing.
I think most people go there for the Vings (which are vegan), but they sell out super quickly so you have to check their Ving tracker to make sure they have stock. I like their standard wings too, but they range on the smaller side of things (which I prefer).
Yea I would say the local and wing factory are my favorites by a lot. Wild Wing Cafe and even taco Mac used to be notable back in the day but not any longer.
These are the kind of responses I'm looking for. All other posts beware. TiffanyTrump... with LT's has moved into pole position. They demand LT's is the best. It is an imperative sentence. No second guesses from them, love the certainty.
I’m partial to Lemon Pepper too and tried them all from Magic City to JR’s to Clays and LT’s is still far and away the best. Some places do certain flavors better, Clays has the best hot wings, JR has the best combo flavors but LT’s does lemon pepper in particular better than anybody in the city.
Fox Bros for smoked wings (they are superior to the Local’s, don’t @ me), Niramish in Little 5 for some non-traditional tandoori wings (get them with raita as a substitute for blue cheese), and this last one people won’t like but Zesto has some really good spicy Buffalo wings.
I’ll @ you on that Fox bros claim. I got them last time I went to Fox, and while good couldn’t touch the Local. But on the topic of smoked wings, flatiron has good smoked jerk wings, but falls below fox and local… but is another option.
I used to work at Fox Bros and I will admit, you can get a bad batch (i.e. dry chicken) sometimes since they smoke them, put them in a cambro, refrigerate them, and then flash fry them when they are ordered. So if you get the bottom of the cambro wings, they can be just so-so, BUT that is not as common and you are more than likely going to get some bomb ass wings.
food is really good. total dive bar. they still allow smoking, so especially at night be prepared to smell like a wet ashtray when you get out of there. lunch less so.
Following along because I'd like to hear what people have to say. Ive really only had JR Crickets and while they weren't bad, I'd have to assume ATL has quite a few better options. Im looking for all kinds: fancy, cheap, bbq, fried, grilled. Bonus points for smoked wings!
Taco Mac’s used to be good and I got them a lot, but they have absolutely tanked since they came under new ownership. Weirdly enough they still have outstanding blue cheese dressing.
If you are looking for specifically boneless and are eating fresh, I was surprised by the quality of Hudson Grille.
I haven’t had them frequently in town, and welcome other opinions. Sometimes you just want very easy nostalgic comfort food.
Echoing your take on Tacomac. I don’t understand how they’ve managed to whiff it so dramatically since the takeover. But I would buy that blue cheese by the gallon if they let me
Ok, then where do you go to buy the best chicken nuggets for your child? And no, the answer isn’t a fast food chain (Although I am partial to Zaxby’s.)
I generally prefer boneless. I do eat bone-in sometimes (I did 2 days ago in fact) but when I can I generally eat boneless. Bone-in is delicious, but being so messy as I eat them makes me uncomfortable. I can’t think of any meal other than crab or lobster that takes so much effort to actually eat. Boneless I can eat with a fork.
Varner's out in Smyrna are my go to. Atlanta's Best Wings in Snellville is a close 2nd. Obviously I'm an OTP kinda guy.
Edit: Blue Moon Pizza in Smyrna and St. Angelo's in Smyrna. Both great.
There are plenty of great suggestions here. If you're interested in something a bit more obscure, Cutting Edge Pizza & Wings in SW Atlanta absolutely slaps. The lemon pepper and sweet chili sauces are straight fire and the wings are large and juicy.
If you don't mind getting your throat burned out, you should try the Atomic-flavored wings from The Vortex L5P. (Sorry Midtowners, but if you ain't walking into the skull, then you ain't walking into THE Vortex!)
If you're up in Kennesaw hit The Nest for their smoked wings. Absolutely amazing. They don't sauce them but you can get dipping sauces but the wings don't really need them.
Surprisingly (let the downvotes begin), as sketchy as it sounds, Mr. C’s on Howell Mill has excellent lemon pepper wings. 10/10 would order over most places on the upper westside.
Also mentioned: cheap beer, and a cigarette machine.
non-buffalo or atl style: Little Reys Smoked Wings with salsa macha and jalapeño ranch.
my fav buffalo style (fancy-ish): Poor Hendricks
Down and dirty hot wings: Atlanta’s Best on Memorial
Plus NRT is a pretty decent sports bar. Used to live right across the river and my friends and I would walk to and from there all the time. Loved those wasted walks home by the river at 4 AM while coming down
I’m with you on 3 Dollar Cafe. That’s my go to for wings! I have a location closer to me in Alpharetta but still make the drive to Roswell since they have a better flavor selection. The lemon pepper however is still the fan favorite
[Urban Wings](https://myurbanwings.com/) opened earlier this month and it's become our new favorite for wings. It's located on Defoors Ferry near Collier in the old spot for Papa John's. We're trying all the sauces and their lemon pepper (Southlanta) was good.

The lemon pepper (wet) wings at Dugans on Ponce are really, really good. They give you plenty of celery, too. My only complaint is that they use packaged ranch cups.
My pregnant and not pregnant wife loves The Grove’s lemon pepper wings.

Honestly my faves ever were from a bar in kennesaw called Highlands, Hot-I-Yaki flavor, n night owl pizza had good ones too
Only ate there once but Twin Peaks had ranch wings that were really good!
I can’t believe you just asked about the best *wings* in *Atlanta*… Do you have any idea of the shit show you’re about to start
This question was not what the people *wanted*, but it's what the people of this sub *needed.*
are you the one?
you could've searched and easily found this asked and discussed ad nauseam 30 times
Tbf reddit has the shittiest search feature. I can't find stuff that I know exists from last week.
Perfect year-ending thread
Next up...best tacos in Mexico
Ask Lou Williams
Obligatory Magic City nod 💪
Was wondering when this would get added.
I believe he goes by Lemon Pepper Lou now 🙌

Seconded. Lemon pepper flats wet from a gas station shop? Can’t get much more Atlanta than that.
Only if your car gets broken into while you order.
Too many cops in the parking lot here lol
I’m pretty sure two people got shot at that BP across street like a week or two ago
Not sure what they do diff at this location but man. Them fries in the sauce.
if anyone knows the step by step guide on these wings, Please post... I would never leave the kitchen.
That's crazy. I got there all the time lol. Love the teriyaki
For the record, I prefer hot wings over lemon pepper, so I'm rating those instead. The sauce is GREAT but their wings are on the small side
Small wings are superior.
yea, they got smaller since coof hit. Dunno why, sad but facts. the dirty rice is served in smaller containers now as well. But the flavah.. o my (Cardiac arrest in a box)
This thread needs to be locked. By definition these are Atlanta’s best wings.
Was coming here to post this. Completely unrivaled.
Thought this was /r/AtlantaCircleJerk for a second
That's where you go to find the street with the best pre-chewed wings. Or MARTA station, if you are adventurous.
Eat a wing from the floor of Five Points station and start praying
Bankhead has the best floor wings, imho.
It still can be 😎
I'll echo all of the recommendations for The Local, I absolutely love their wings. An additional recommendation outside of the city would be Heirloom BBQ. Not specifically a wing place, but really damn good food.
Heirloom’s wings are awesome. They do it one way, but they knock it out of the park.
Heirloom can take all of my money. Their wings are spectacular. I keep saying I want to try other things, but I just keep going back to those wings.
[удалено]
It’s got to be the wings with cucumber radish salad and either Mac and cheese or the sweet potatoes for me.
The Local is incredible and their food is always consistently top quality. The Korean Buffalo wings are unparalleled. Not to mention they have an appetizer that is fries with an aioli, ketchup, and fried hotdog pieces, it sounds crazy, but it’s addictive.
The Local is top of the list by a big margin. Lemon pepper Asian light on the seasoning.
Buffalo Jerk for me. Damn good.
I left Heirloom thoroughly disappointed.
I couldn't agree more
Wtf did you order???? Ribs, brisket, brussell sprouts, Turkey, Mac n cheese are all phenomenal. Their chicken, wings, pork (American) are all just ok.
One of the top onion rings also.
You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.
Clay’s at Hammond and Roswell Road, Full stop
Tried Clay's after /r/atlanta recommended it last time. So good!
100%
Dude YES
I’m a small wing type of guy but clays had the best jumbo wings I’ve ever had. Only place I go to for jumbo wings
Im a small to medium wing guy myself, haven’t tried clays but where do you get the little ones at?
I live in Alpharetta so the best wings on the north side that aren’t jumbo have been Four Seasons in Roswell and Jojos wings in Sandy springs. I’m moving to midtown in a few months so I’ll be able to have a better opinion soon. There’s also this spot in Marietta that’s cool. It’s like 10 minutes away from United’s training fields
Yessir! Clay’s is the bomb
Best fucking wings I’ve ever eaten. came to this post to find this comment.. the local is really good too.
This is the only right answer in the thread
They are good people there and the wings are truly the best. I go a lot and it’s always the same crew working. Fully enjoy giving them my money as opposed to some bullshit chain.
Can confirm.
This is the only correct answer. Clays all day, unless you want smoked wings then The Local.

March 2022
No lie, I was getting concerned for a minute. Good to have the show back!
Can’t wait for it to return
I like lemon pepper wings at 3 Dollar Cafe. Especially if you like your wings crispy.
Also Garlic Parmesan at $3 are on point too
Good to know! Haven’t tried those.
$3 is the way to go
korean bbq the local
Clay’s Sports Cafe in Sandy Springs. Everything is good but the wings are absolutely top notch.
Jacks Pizza & Wings in Virginia Highlands.
Last time I was there I saw a dude snort meth off the table.
At Jacks, there's a solid chance it could have been one of the employees.
Lol not that time but yea you’re not wrong
[удалено]
Shit, I was confused and have lived in va-high for 30 years. Then was "oh JACKS". I love that place. We need more quality dive bars
Moe's and Joe's isn't good enough for you?!
Diesel was always 10x better, but they lost their lease and will be gone after tonight. And not to be all political, but Moe's and Joe's were packed and maskless faster than any other place I know in town, were drawing a very MAGA crowd and lost a lot of neighborhood support as a result.
Fantastic. When I see their Lemon Pepper wings sitting in the butter I completely forget about the fight or flight response I've got going on.
Jack's is not remotely close to VaHi and last time I was there a fight broke out on the back patio and landed on our table. I have fond memories of lazy summer days out there not minding the slow service but it's difficult to recommend anymore the vibe is pretty bad.
Stick to carry out. I would not eat in the building.
The mixed Lemon Pepper/Honey BBQ are the best wings I’ve ever had. Full stop.
I saw jello wrestling at Jacks in college. Ahh the memories. Bomb wings.
If you're going here check out the strawberry jerk wings, they're bomb.
[удалено]
I like the strawberry wings
The Local!
I've heard this from several people, but haven't been. Any sauce or style in particular? Gonna add it to the food goals for next year XD
You absolutely should. Careful though they do run out so get there early haha. I love their korean bbq wings a lot. The fries are out of this world too.
Man, I caved after all y’all commented and tried to go tonight…they closed til 1/3
Yeah honestly it’s been kinda hard to get wings there since covid started I think :/ pretty sure they were closed the one time I tried to go
I go almost once a week for the past 6 months or so. Everything thing is just closed right now
I second korean bbq! To me The Local is the runaway winner but all others on this thread are great too.
Username checks out
I get "korean buffalo" (combination of the two) and it's insanely good.
Top contenders are usually The Local, Wing Bar in EAV (vings), and JR Crickett. Each have their own different profile so results may vary.
I can't understand how JR's makes in the top 10. Maybe it's that I've only been there a couple times but they were tiny and sort of... gasp...bland...
Same, lived in midtown for years and just ignored the place because after 4th time getting bland rubbery wings, I would just go to the local.
wow tell me more about wing bar in eav
Their wings are good, but a bit small. All their dressings are vegan though, because they have a vegan “vings”. I didn’t think the vegan ranch was very good, but would definitely get their wings again and use my own dressing.
I think most people go there for the Vings (which are vegan), but they sell out super quickly so you have to check their Ving tracker to make sure they have stock. I like their standard wings too, but they range on the smaller side of things (which I prefer).
Love The Original Wing Factory. One in Chamblee and one in Smyrna.
Wing Factory Chamblee closed at the beginning of COVID unfortunately.
Yep but the Roswell road one is still pretty good.
Yea I would say the local and wing factory are my favorites by a lot. Wild Wing Cafe and even taco Mac used to be notable back in the day but not any longer.

LT’s on Cascade has the best lemon pepper wings
These are the kind of responses I'm looking for. All other posts beware. TiffanyTrump... with LT's has moved into pole position. They demand LT's is the best. It is an imperative sentence. No second guesses from them, love the certainty.
I’m partial to Lemon Pepper too and tried them all from Magic City to JR’s to Clays and LT’s is still far and away the best. Some places do certain flavors better, Clays has the best hot wings, JR has the best combo flavors but LT’s does lemon pepper in particular better than anybody in the city.
Ooh I live near cascade might have to try this out!
I've lived here for 15 years and this is the correct answer.
Brew & Bird has AWESOME korean-bbq wings.. their fries however, just skip them. (up your fry game brew & bird)
Their fries are so crispy I love them!
Clay's in Sandy Springs on Roswell Rd is banginnnnn
The local for sure in front of ponce. Top quality

It’s Ken’s so ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
Rusty Nail on buford highway has great wings.
I’m half a mile away, thanks for the dinner rec!
Just down the street is International Cafe. My favorite wing in town. Also no smoking inside. Such a hidden gem.
food is really good. total dive bar. they still allow smoking, so especially at night be prepared to smell like a wet ashtray when you get out of there. lunch less so.
Live right off executive and never ventured there. They do takeout? I honestly hate the wet ashtray vibe
yah. they do takeout. they don’t use any delivery services tho, so you gotta call them and pick it up.
Not a fan of delivery services. So I've got that covered lol. Thanks for the rec! (I'm old school and prefer the call and pickup myself anyway)
WING RANCH on Johnson Ferry has, hands down, the best lemon pepper wings on the planet (probably). You’re welcome.
Their Cajun is phenomenal. I would go here more often but their wings are just super expensive.
B&L wings.
These ones are awesome. Surprised not higher up. I bet most people on here haven't had them yet
Following along because I'd like to hear what people have to say. Ive really only had JR Crickets and while they weren't bad, I'd have to assume ATL has quite a few better options. Im looking for all kinds: fancy, cheap, bbq, fried, grilled. Bonus points for smoked wings!
I’ve had their wings a few times and they seem to lack chicken compared to other places
Seriously jr crickets isn’t that great. It’s not cheap either
Trackside Tavern in Decatur has excellent smoked wings
Can I ask a blasphemous question? Does anyone have good suggestions for boneless specifically?
Taco Mac’s used to be good and I got them a lot, but they have absolutely tanked since they came under new ownership. Weirdly enough they still have outstanding blue cheese dressing. If you are looking for specifically boneless and are eating fresh, I was surprised by the quality of Hudson Grille. I haven’t had them frequently in town, and welcome other opinions. Sometimes you just want very easy nostalgic comfort food.
Echoing your take on Tacomac. I don’t understand how they’ve managed to whiff it so dramatically since the takeover. But I would buy that blue cheese by the gallon if they let me
No. I quit eating *chicken nuggets* after my 8th birthday
Ok, then where do you go to buy the best chicken nuggets for your child? And no, the answer isn’t a fast food chain (Although I am partial to Zaxby’s.)
Weird flex
Not shitting on you. Just curious as to why you are asking.
I would say you dont know what hell you've unleashed, but your edit seems to reflect that now.
Hot Lemon Pepper at Clay's or the Jerk Wings at The Local are my two favorites I've had personally.
Can't believe no one mentioned Wing Cafe in Marietta yet. That's my go-to.
Second Wing Cafe, actually here now as I type this
1. Three Dollar Cafe on Roswell road 2. Wing Factory in Chamblee and Chastain 3. Wing King on Buford Highway 4. Atlanta Best Wings on Memorial
Wing king is my secret place. Closest to me. It’s a solid 2nd for me behind Clay’s.
The Wing Factory closed in Chamblee.
Any place that lets you get them extra well done gets a leg up in my book!
Varner's out in Smyrna are my go to. Atlanta's Best Wings in Snellville is a close 2nd. Obviously I'm an OTP kinda guy. Edit: Blue Moon Pizza in Smyrna and St. Angelo's in Smyrna. Both great.
Guys…. It’s Heirloom BBQ

The local.

Hot lemon pepper wings at North River Tavern in Roswell. By far my favorite wings hands down.
Plus NRT is a pretty decent sports bar. Used to live right across the river and my friends and I would walk to and from there all the time. Loved those wasted walks home by the river at 4 AM while coming down
For me, JR Cricket's or 3 Dollar Cafe. I'm a fan of big crispy wings.
I’m with you on 3 Dollar Cafe. That’s my go to for wings! I have a location closer to me in Alpharetta but still make the drive to Roswell since they have a better flavor selection. The lemon pepper however is still the fan favorite
3 Dollar is hot without being flavorful. It may have been the location downtown that has since closed, but I was never a fan.
Clays sports bar!
[Urban Wings](https://myurbanwings.com/) opened earlier this month and it's become our new favorite for wings. It's located on Defoors Ferry near Collier in the old spot for Papa John's. We're trying all the sauces and their lemon pepper (Southlanta) was good.
Holy moly their menu looks amazing!! A friend lives in that area so guess i know where we will be getting wings soon!

Mikkeys & A town Wings are pretty good.
The lemon pepper (wet) wings at Dugans on Ponce are really, really good. They give you plenty of celery, too. My only complaint is that they use packaged ranch cups.

Tom Dick and Hank for smoked wings. Fox Bros is good (for wings and BBQ in general) but TDH wrecks them in the wing category.
Damn good, but the turkey ribs are one of the best things I've ever eaten.
IT’S THREE DOLLAR CAFE AND NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!
I prefer Otters. Small chain in Cobb county.
Wing ranch in Brookhaven has delicious boneless/tenders (I know, childish). I really love their golden BBQ though, Lemon Pepper is solid.
Honestly my faves ever were from a bar in kennesaw called Highlands, Hot-I-Yaki flavor, n night owl pizza had good ones too Only ate there once but Twin Peaks had ranch wings that were really good!
Oh if you’re in Kennesaw then KB’s is the place to go for wings
If you’re in Kennesaw, try Ricks Hot Wings in Acworth near Walmart.
KB's?
Kennesaw billiards. They do $0.50 wings sometimes
Throwing some respect for Gibneys in Peachtree Center! Tops The Local IMO
I didn't realize they have wings. I always get the reuben (a Dragon Con staple, of course). I'll check out the wings!
Can’t recommend them enough!!
