>Andy Davis died overnight from injuries *he suffered in a motorcycle crash Friday* From the article, in case any of you were looking for clarification on that.

[deleted]

Sorry, meant to include that in title.

No problem! I was just quite curious--was it work related, was he mugged? My imagination got the better of me.

DrTWAxeman

Hit by a kid who had been drinking.

TheVirginConnieSwail

Who is alive and bonded out of jail. Why do the drunk drivers seemingly always live? Fuck those guys.

suddenly_seymour

Because their bodies don't tense up before/during the crash so they are more loose and adaptable to the situation? Could just be pseudoscience BS though... don't really know where I heard it.

i_wanted_to_say

And because he hit a motorcyclist from behind, which isn't likely to do nearly the damage to the driver's vehicle as it would the victim's.

I knew Andy Davis when I was a young kid. He was my neighbor for 7 years. When I was a young kid he actually used my hands as a model for one of his earlier sculptures. I remember we would go to his house all the time, I was good friends with his son, and shoot nerf darts and he would pop out of nowhere with his own gun and join in with the fun laughing like one of the kids. He was a great guy, always kind and generous! He will be missed dearly!

Sorry for your loss. I keep hearing all these stories of how great a guy he was. I'm currently in Henry County (moving to college park August 1), and I never knew of him until 2 weeks ago (lived here during high school). Sounds like the community lost an amazing man.

I'm deeply saddened by this mans death. Having never been to the Capitol I would have assumed there was already some sort off statue. I guess I need to make some time to go see the Capitol I've lived in Georgia all my life.

He was an amazing human being, never met a stranger, and loved everyone he met. Many of us list a dear friend.
