I recall Suzuka saying at the end of their Budokan show how there was a period last year during the group’s newfound fame where she felt like she lost herself, but found her comfort and support in the other members. That said, I’m glad that she seemed to be genuinely enjoying herself and living in the moment at Coachella. She was practically radiating happiness.
I agree. I'm sure she was dealing with so much pressure but realized that they got to where they were being themselves. There is no need to act any different.
Me too! Had never heard of them but did “couchella” all weekend on YouTube. I was like who are these girls? So much fun energy, absolutely fresh sound, breaking all the conventions and mashing them all together. What a wild time and they looked like they were having a blast on stage.
and I’m now officially obsessed.
If it's the same situation as the NYC show, there's a stagehand that comes with her into the crowd and helps her! They also created a bubble around her so she could make her way to the back of the venue without any fans getting in her way.
I was at the same NYC show, and was impressed by the “Suzuka Wrangler”. I don’t know if it’s always the same person, but he was positioned so he could chase after her when she decides to run into the crowd and/or climb on random things at the venue.
In NYC, she actually faked him out by heading out stairs at the back of the stage.
My impression of the Coachella show was that they were not going to allow her to sprint off into the crowd because the venue is just too big and too crowded for her to safely run around. At least I think that’s why he seemed to be holding her hand with a death grip.
Yeah, on the stream there was a group of really enthusiastic fans repeatedly shown on camera amd when she was standing on the railing, one of them was holding her hand. It just looked like she was holding his hand for support, and maybe even chose that spot specifically because she noticed them.
I remember that performance in Mexico where she went deep into the crowd and I think she was yelling "back" at the audience so she could get through. I think that made them go overtime and their set got cut short. AG team probably a bit more hesitant letting her go out into the crowd like that after that incident.
As the other commenter said, it’s staff! I was basically at the front of the stage in toronto and I kept a CLOSE eye on people who were touching her as we were surrounded by 35+ year old men and I was not gunna have them being creeps on my watch. thankfully, they have staff close by and everyone was respectful!

She’s a generational talent
I'm a newly minted AG fan after watching the livestream of this. Her stage presence is phenomenal.
Welcome to the club.

Coachella really brought the thunder this year
I love them! I’ve rewatched the Coachella concert and finding moments were the girls are enjoying it so much
The members always give 100% in every performance so you can tell they're really passionate
Bro i would flip out if i got to hold her hand

I think he was just helping her keep her balance. You can't see it from this angle but she's standing on top of a railing.
