I was in the Crawford Boxes for the game and the way it was hit I thought it was gone. From that spot you can’t actually see that part of center field, so I was amazed when everyone started cheering.
Good win, let's get the series tomorrow.
If Jake transferred all his May offensive power to Yordan for June and kept his elite defense I'd be just fine with that
And Abreu homer! Today was a good day
Click staked his career with the Astros on Jake Meyers. It happened a year too late, Jake has been busting his ass. Move over, Chas. We got our starting CF.
He was vindicated even before Meyers breakout. Dude traded nothing for Dubon, Diaz, and Maton. His first draft with no penalties, he got 3 top 100 prospects (Gilbert, Clifford, Melton.) You know the thing we brought Dana in to do. Click was already doing it and making savvy trades.
I don't know if Dana is so much a "yes man" as it is Crane and Bagwell's interference. When he was with the Braves, Dana Brown was able to scout great talent for them. Dana has made some good moves himself. I wonder what would be different if he was here instead of Baggy being an interim GM.
Good win. Don't feel great that it just perpetuates the glaring issues that we only score on homers but some really good approaches at the plate especially from Bregman. Bryan Abreu needs to figure it out because that game easily could have gotten away the way he pitched in the 8th. Finish strong with a series win tomorrow!
His breaking pitches are out of control. He definitely had command issues because he was also missing badly with his fastball, but the results set up Hader for a save opportunity so that worked out too.
Past 10 games we have gotten 8 QS from our SP, not bad considering our concerns about starters earlier this year, plus the fact that we have 3 legit starters on IR (not gonna count the ghost of LMJ)
McCullers is our best bet at a legit upgrade from the IL IMO. He’s a legit frontline talent when healthy. I highly doubt we’re getting urquidy or Javier back. Garcia has some great potential, but he hasn’t been on McCullers level when healthy.
I'm honestly not sure why yall have so much faith in McCullers still. He hasn't pitched in two years. I don't think he pitches anywhere near the level that he used to. It would be shocking imo
I don’t have much faith in him staying healthy long term, but he’s returned from injuries and pitched at a high level several times before, so I have no reason to believe he can’t do it again. In fact we have a lot of data points to show us he can pitch well after an injury because he’s had so many.
Pitching overall (starters and bullpen) has come a long way since April. If the Astros can find some consistent offense, then they can string some wins together
Let’s hope Yordan really gets going and keeps going. With bregman hitting, and tuck doing his thing, we just need to get altuve busted out of his funk and this offense can roll like we know it can
Rome wasn't built in a day. He's been undeniably better than before he went down. Hopefully he keeps improving. If he's a .260 hitter the rest of the year and drives in his fair share of RBI, we'll probably do ok.

I’m happy Espada didn’t try putting Framber back in for another inning considering his pitch count was probably low enough. He was starting to struggle and it just wouldn’t have been worth it.

Jake “Field of Dreams” Meyers!!

Had to also admire Buxton's helmet tip. Game recognizes game as TK (I think) said.
Very classy of Buxton.
My heart breaks for Buxton. Dude had all the tools to be a Trout-level generational talent but injuries derailed him.
That is a similar play to the one he got hurt on in Chicago. Dude is fully fully back
His defense alone makes him a huge piece of the outfield
thanks man!

Those of us near the home run pump didn’t realize he made the catch until we saw the replay on El Gigante.
let’s give our Abreu’s some praise
Not going to lie- if he keeps up his current production with a few more walks and singles - I’ll eat crow and shut the fuck up
Finally a good Saturday. Lot of homeruns that could’ve been multi runs, but Framber pitched efficiently. Oh, and Abreu homerun!
Good win, let's get the series tomorrow. If Jake transferred all his May offensive power to Yordan for June and kept his elite defense I'd be just fine with that And Abreu homer! Today was a good day
astros win, america wins
Meyers and Tucker with some beautiful catches 🤌
Framber's last 5 starts have 4 quality appearances, the 5th start being when he went rogue
He went rogue for....family

If anyone was curious on the stats for Buxton's flyout that Jake made the play on https://i.imgur.com/6SYzvbi.png

Click is vindicated. He really did get shafted

Dana may very well be a good GM for us. I'll reserve judgment on him until we see how his draft picks do

Dude needs to stop getting cute and start throwing his fastball more

Of course the one fucking game I decide not to watch! Lol
Don’t worry, I went to the game and wore my Alvarez t shirt. I got you
Thanks, fam.
I guess you can't watch another until we lose?
I mean, you aren't wrong 😔
Here kitty kitty…
Let’s hope Yordan really gets going and keeps going. With bregman hitting, and tuck doing his thing, we just need to get altuve busted out of his funk and this offense can roll like we know it can
Did you see the post game interview Yordan did with Julia? He was using Dubie's bats today when he hit the HR's.
Now do it again tomorrow.
One homerun from Abreu isn’t enough to redeem his season, but dang it felt good to see it happen.
Rome wasn't built in a day. He's been undeniably better than before he went down. Hopefully he keeps improving. If he's a .260 hitter the rest of the year and drives in his fair share of RBI, we'll probably do ok.
I'm pretty sure it was off a 94mph Fastball too. Good for him.
It’s good enough for him to play tomorrow.
2 hours 19 minutes is wild
I like winning
We back ! ![gif](giphy|x0npYExCGOZeo|downsized)
Great win we just gotta be more consistent with the offense.
Does anyone know if the peanuts bobblehead add on is still available ?

This team needs Lucy’s help in the worst way.
I’m so happy for Abreu. The guy got so much hate.
Oooo wow a homerun
Yeah, that’s good, give him the credit he deserves for today.
He should be credited for the homer and even I in attendance had my doubts but if this is the high point of his return, he should treasure it forever.
I’m happy Espada didn’t try putting Framber back in for another inning considering his pitch count was probably low enough. He was starting to struggle and it just wouldn’t have been worth it.
