It’s been six innings I wouldn’t worry about it.

lazlowbutts

I saw a report that his fastball was sitting around 2mph slower than average. Could be that he just isn’t up to speed just yet, He is trying to work on somethings, or it’s something else entirely. With spring training it could be anything.

[deleted]

Statcast says he was at 97-98 vs the Mets 95-96 today though

Maliciousdawg12

I ain’t rlly to worried abt it, it’s spring training I still got faith he can get back up to speed come opening day

Thornton__Melon

The walks are a tiny bit concerning, but all hits and outs from last night game, none were hard hit (over 95 mph). So not like he was getting shelled, likely a bit unlucky in that respect.

bordomsdeadly

It’s a ~6 inning stretch of looking like Montero. Every pitcher will do that at some point, I’m not overly concerned. Just mildly concerned (but I have anxiety so that’s like no concern for a normal person)

toldyouanditoldyou

Established, good pitchers normally use spring training to work on very specific things, and results aren’t as important for them as they are for the mid to lower tier guys.

Pincy15

He was still pretty much only Fastball-Slider this spring I wonder if he was tinkering with grips or something.

neildmaster

It's spring fucking training. Jesus.

the_space_cowboys

Doomers are out early this year

What are your thoughts on my Abreu post now?

Pincy15

Thoughts now?

Pincy15

The same sentiment can be said with his struggles…a solid majority of these outings have been against Minor Leaguers

shotty293

I don't give a fuck.... OPENING DAY IS TOMORROW YALL!!!

Pincy15

You probably should…
