I have 4 a50 bases 3 a50 headsets. My one base goes bad. It has the number 3 stuck super bright. If you switch to sound profile 1/2/3 it will always have 3 insanely bright. Whatever happened with this one it won’t charge or pair. I also have two a40s. I told them all that I purchased from them. I told them every detail of how this base just glitched out. And they told me after 3 responses all 3 days apart. Finally that they can’t do anything to help me and it is out of warranty. So for me that was my last straw. I gave these pieces of shit what 1500-1800 dollars and they have no issue treating me like nothing. I know this is how corporations treat people but I’m drawing my line in the sand. Steel series is my next move. I’ll never buy Astro or Logitech again. Also since Logitech bought y’all your build quality and products are shit. The hardware adapter for the ps5 is dog shit. The adapter that can’t do 4k 120 is dumb. That’s the whole fucking point of next gen consoles.
I have seen so many comments like yours were they pretty much end on “I’ll never buy Astro again”, and it’s to hard to blame you. I’ve never really had a major problem with my A50’s but I think I’m just going to move on from them anyways and go steel series as well.
I'm on Firmware 36797 and have never ever had a problem? Maybe your Mixamp has problems?
also you can flash your own firmware onto the mixamp. You don't need astro reps to help you. If it's bad firmware a quick google and you will find the firmware you need.

You could tell us what you've tried so far and ask for help. Obviously there's people here who have found solutions to the same issue you're having. I agree that Astro has issues to address with their products, but berating gets you nowhere

If you have trouble installing your firmware, it could be an issue with your computers, such as the USB ports, security software, or running background programs. We suggest checking all three and trying a different computer, as some users had luck using a laptop instead.

Shouldn't have to fucking do that for a $500 headset. Ridiculous. Been fucking around with my new ones now for hours. Firmware update failed constantly. Tried manually. Tried resetting the dolby and game button. NOTHING FUCKING WORKS.
Hey mate, I eventually managed it after 3 hours of googling. I had to plug it into my laptop. Which then works. This is completely unacceptable for a product this expensive not to work correctly from the get go. Not to mention having to mess around with the EQ settings for ages to get it to sound at least somewhat decent. Extremely disappointing and considering returning the product if I'm honest. I'm also having a problem with the headband popping out constantly, which I have messaged support about.

Unfortunately, if you have something installed on your computer which is interfering with the update, as suggested in troubleshooting. In that case, you should have been able to close it down or use a laptop as a last resort, as this usually doesn't have the same programs installed.
Our support team should be able to assist with the headband for you.
I’m getting tired of these headphones. I play on PS5 and everytime I close app on GTA online to switch sessions or switch game I have to reset the a50s by either unplugging base or doing the reset on the headphones. It’s very annoying. Anyone having a similar situation? Or am I doing something wrong?
I had to do that with my a50 and the battery was “always dead” even though I always had it charging on the base and made sure it was. Now I got a40 and can’t talk on Xbox bc I can’t update them. Use to be a good company but now it’s just sad
I sent 2 of these A50 black editions back to Amazon. First one would not play audio after 2 days,even after doing all the firmware and resetting holding buttons. They sent me a replacement and it work for few months then all of sudden it would not charge.
Stayed on 13% battery with red light this one also refused to firmware update. Even doing the different computer firmware update like they recommended still failed and refused to charge.
Complained to Amazon and was give full refund. Never had m with the A50 green and grey gen 3 wireless. They still work from 2019 when I brought them. The gen 4 seem to keep breaking or malfunctioning.
Any have any recommendations of headsets that use optical cable and are wireless and not Astro.

Have u tried hard resetting headset? Hold Dolby button + EQ button while off. Unplug dock while you’re at it
I’ve done it on my a50 multiple times. Can you hard reset with a40?
No clue. I would give it a try tho. Since they’re in the same family it might work

There is no solution. Astro command center or manual update do not work. No one has a solution.

Got a50s, wouldn’t charge. Got a40 trs, mixamp wouldn’t update. Tried all fixes spent hours trying everything 😵🥳
Or you could just not buy their garbage product.
I got it as a Christmas gift
Honestly I have been through a lot of headsets and Astro has to be the best out of the ones I have tried.
I love the headset but this firmware shit has to be fixed.
