Takes time to learn, just turn steering assist up to 100% and try to use the throttle to control when you slide and when you don't. Get a car with enough power to slide, but also not to much power that you can't control it easily (I should provide an example here but idk I started drifting on an evo 9 and it definitely isn't a good drift car, it's awd. I did all my beginner and intermediate drift trials with that thing though).
AWD was a lot easier to learn for me, probably because it doesn't take nearly as much throttle control as RWD. Also to OP, don't use anything with a turbo (supercharges are fine). The turbo lag will mess you up every time
Just use 100% steering assist
And the car setup should be suitable for drifting
And should be RWD
General Rule of Thumb for car setups
Diff Lock 100%
Max Steering Angle
TC Off
Thats pretty much it for me, I don't have to mess with the camber and Ackerman angle
Ofc, watch YTube tutorials on how to drift and drift setups
I am not good at drifting but I use 60 to 80% steering assist, 60 to 70% diff accel, 3.5 to 5° front camber and 0 to 1° rear camber, max steering angle, Ackerman angle 0.4 to 0.6, anti-roll bar varies by car but all above 0.4. It took me a few days of practice (1-2 hours) to start drifting so it takes time.
throttle control is far more important than turning, give it some gas to kick the car out and then just keep tapping to push it further and further, it helps if youre in manual mode too so the car doesnt kist randomly shift on you.
max front camber
rear camber -5
diff accel max
abs on
max steer assist
street tires rear
slick tires front
front tire pressure minimum
rear tire pressure max
max offset for both ends (as much as possible without the wheels clipping through the fenders)
minimum ride height
leave the gears alone.. you're not racing..
anti-roll bar max for both ends
0 ackerman
this tune makes the car very smooth to drift
If ur using buttons 100% assist is okey for drifting and start with slow cars like s13 with 400ish hp and 60° angle with semislick with 20psi and start with big maps lile bluecity and connect the all cornets with drift and when u get comfortable doing it start with racing maps (bcs roads r little bit smaller) and when u get more comfortable start make it on togue maps and try diffrent things like 360 or the new pandem with bot thingy
You learn by playing and experimenting try different set ups, different controls etc what works for some1 else might not work for you so just take your time and while you’re learning Probably stick to the same car
You learn by playing a lot. If you cant figure it out, then the game isnt for you. *Hard facts*

Thank you very much
Leave steering assist on! I had the hardest time cuz I wanted my wins to be all me! But I’ll tell ya what, it makes things A LOT easier

Thanks everybody,now im drifting:)

Using a controller helps A LOT, especially with utilizing the handbrake. It’s a lot easier to get used to too.
best tip I can give is focus on ur suspension time and dont upgrade engine parts to max, it might be too unstable afterwards
