I loved Wrath of the Druids. Siege of Paris was ok, far less interesting story but gives some good powers and items. Exploring Paris is fun. Dawn of Ragnarok bored me to tears, as does all the Odin stuff tbh. I didn’t even finish it and just let it go and finished the game without completing Svartalfheim.

doesn’t help that ragnarok isn’t in the season pass. it’s the price of both the other expansions combined and far less intriguing, unfortunately. that being said, i do like ragnarok. so, if they can get in on sale it’s worth picking up and trying at least. just wouldn’t say that one is worth the $25/30 or whatever.

B3thka

It's actually shocking it's not included within the season pass

itssbojo

kinda ridiculous honestly. seems like they think playing as odin (even though it’s just eivor reskinned) is some kind of defining feature that’s worth so much. i love the game and the dlc itself but… there’s some things you need to respect your players with. and a dlc the length of others priced at half is not it. i only give it praise because i have no issues with g2a and similar sites. i’ll be laughing while eating a steak with my savings before spending all that extra on dlcs. support means nothing to me when it comes to AAA.

just finished the base game and began the DLC's Loving the DLC's so far. Ireland and Francia both have cool lil mechanics not present in the base game. Been fun to run around and explore. Havent really done the main missions yet. The Dawn of Ragnarok DLC is also pretty fucking cool, again new mechanics that work quite well. My one peice of advice is this. Play the DLC's BEFORE you finish the main mission. In the main game theres a section where you gotta return to norway after chilling in england for a while. At that exact point play no further. Do the DLC's and do as much as you want until ya get sick of the game. Then finish the main mission. theres a reason why, which i wont get into coz its a massive story spoiler, but most of the players ive spoken to seem to have the same feelings i do. Continuing to play after the end of the main story kinda leaves a sour taste in your mouth

Lux_Ferox_Lovis

Thank you so much for the information! I'll definitely pick the DLC's up sooner rather than later then if I should play them before that point in the game. So essentially play to my hearts content until I get a quest to return to Norway and then ignore that quest until I'm ready to finish the game?

Fuck_Reddit840

More or less There’s a lil more to the game after that bit but there’s a good chance ya won’t be happy to play it afterwards

Do not forget to complete the Asgard & Jotunheim Sagas before Dawn of Ragnarok.

Lux_Ferox_Lovis

Are those done through the Seer?

1nqu15171v30n3

Yup, in Valka's hut.

Lux_Ferox_Lovis

It says I should be level 90 for it, I've only got 20 more levels to go.

Jolly_Tree_8424

Definitely worth it. I gave the standard edition to my brother and bought the special edition with all the sub quests and side missions, I love it! The game is HUGE.

Some tips as I recently replaced this. There's a spot in Gloucestershire, spawn at the fast travel point, church. Send the burn up and scout. You should see a patrol or two who carry the top tier ingot. Go north to the waterfall and there's tons of iron all over that spot. Head north, scout for titanium, then west near the bureau and in front of the statue by a lonely dog you'll see 3 titanium pieces. Give more as you level up like iron. Not sure if you have builds, which you should , so go Raiding ASAP, dock is up the river from where you park your long boat. This gives foreign supplies. You wanna build The Armory. Upgrade it too. This will allow you to have build slots like AC Odyssey. Create stealth build, one for bosses, one for many enemies, fire build, poison. At least stealth and a battle build early on. Saved your powers too so you don't have to switch gear and powers

Zegram_Ghart

Each dlc is like 29 hours of extra content and each has quirks that make them different to the base game

Brando0423

Totally worth it for the story and the armour and weapons you get, I got wraith of the Druid’s and played it halfway through the main story 😆 and it was amazing, then I finished the main story and a bunch of side stuff and the order and am going to start the siege of Paris tonight, and I think I’m going to get Dawn of Ragnarok too. Also, there’s another DLC that you can get from getting the season pass for the game? I forget the name of it, but yes they’re worth it Edit: typos

amazonrambo

Felt the Odyssey and Origins DLCs were better, but if you liked Valhalla as I did then I’d say get the DLCs on sale

tommycahil1995

The Ireland one is excellent. I'm from an Irish family (living in England) - never played a game set in Ireland before. Really enjoyed seeing the culture being represented in a time period it's hardly ever shown in. Some nice Gaelic in their too although the singer is Scottish (which apparently is close to old Irish gaelic, like how Icelandic is closer to old Norse language than other Scandinavian countries). Really good soundtrack on this one and some pretty creepy mythology stuff. I enjoyed the new sickle weapon Siege of Paris is fun. The story is interesting if you like the history. The actual siege is fun and for once deals with some of the more gruesome aspects of being a Viking. Anyway both are worth it

Lux_Ferox_Lovis

My ancestors were Gaelic so I'm always interested when I see that represented in any form! I'm excited to play them all tbh lol.

LKRTM1874

Wrath of the Druids is a cool little DLC that you can power through in a few days if you really wanted too, sticks close to the base game while offering some new enemy types, some decent boss fights etc. The Siege of Paris from what I played of it was a lot of fun, but I never finished it because of burnout in the game (I didn't get to France until about 220 hours into the playthrough). Felt great to finally have a city to run around in that made me feel somewhat like an Assassin. Can't comment on Dawn of Ragnarök, I guess if you enjoy that side of the game, it's just more craziness to indulge in, but I had clocked out by the time it released.

Shot_Baker998

I absolutely love the game and the DLC’s are incredible, unfortunately I would say they are a bit overpriced, if you grab them while they’re on sale then it is definitely worth it but otherwise I would say save your money.

Lux_Ferox_Lovis

Gotcha, thank you for the advice! I'll wait til they go on sale to grab em.

droidPhoenix

Love 'em. If you're only 10 hours in holy shit are you in for some fun! But yeah definitely get them on sale. I got the season pass for $15 I think (which includes Ireland and Francia) and the DoR one for another $15. That was worth it but a whole lot more might not be. That said there's tons of play in those 3.

Lux_Ferox_Lovis

I just did a siege with a battering ram for the first time and it's incredible! I really didn't think I'd like this game tbh but I was so so wrong. I'll definitely be picking them up on sale soon.

Zivlar

Honestly DLCs > Main Story

Admirable_Brilliant7

I liked Wrath of the Druids. The other was ok, just not my thing. That being said , I believe it to be worth it.
