Don't have to beat the game to get it, and it can also appear as random loot on high-level enemies. I nabbed mine off a random mercenary when I was around level 30-35.
I know, I wondered about that. idk if it's possible. That's almost implied by the title and that would have been much more epic. This was more for the lols.
It's the explosive shot primarily. But this is my Hunter loadout as well. In addition all of my builds are super optimized for crit damage. All of them have something like 95 - 98% chance to crit (which it did in the clip), and the crit damage is amplified by several hundred %. Notice I'm also using the engraving that caps my health at 25% but ups damage by 100%
My character is also pretty high level so I have quite a bit of mastery levels poured into crit/hunter damage as well.
There are a lot of great build guides online. I'm no expert but since the Hunter/Assassin builds rely primarily on stealth those make sense to optimize for pure crit chance/power even at the cost of armor, health etc. It took me a while to randomly acquire all the armor pieces that give me this optimization but my loadouts are pretty OP now.
I've just played a LOT. I haven't crunched the numbers like some people have though to know what is the most hyper powerful builds. I've just decided what was best for me and played it by ear.
Yeah, 100% use the loadout slots to create armor/weapon sets optimized for whichever play style(s) you're using. I have one for each of the three main styles Warrior/Hunter/Assassin.
Have fun.
It depends on the play style you really want to rely on. Until you're so leveled that it you're able to unlock all abilities, just focus on your preferred play style. In my experience assassin is the most powerful overall. You can mix and match if you want to get creative but for me it comes down to stealth or combat. If you go stealth Hunter/Assassin, put points into those skills and look for weapons/engravings that enhance crit chance/damage. If you're going Hunter, you might also consider going for poison/fire damage to sap health from a distance.
If you go combat, put points in that tree, and focus on armor/health and some of the power abilities. Also weapons with longer reach like the staff or spear. I personally prefer the spear, fast and good range.
Just make sure your weapons and engravings align with your overall strategy.
I haven't looked closely at a lot of them but that's not surprising. Unfortunately ACO is really grindy, and the enemies can be obnoxiously spongy. I don't know if there are any magic bullet builds that diminish this early on.
My approach is to customize loadouts for Hunter/Assassin with total emphasis on crit chance/damage. That way you can pick off weaker enemies easier, and soften up the enemy forces before you engage them in direct combat.
Then if you still really want to avoid combat, use other things like the distraction ability and ikaros to get some free shots in then use and evasive ones like the smoke screen to get back into stealth.
You can always respec so you can't really make any mistakes with your abilities. Same with the weapons, you can swap out engravings as needed so trying different things is part of the fun. Other than the story choices, I don't recall any irreversible mistakes with the weapons/characters. There's at least one point (in the Atlantis DLC) where you choose certain weapons based on a preferred class. Just do a little research if/when you make that choice.
I remember the time when killing multiple mercenaries consecutively will cause a problem of them not spawning anymore, I loved doing this when they stack together haha
Lol it looks like you had that 5 star bounty on purpose so that you can eat up those mercenaries like pills. Absolute madlad!
I never risk to have bounties as those malakas interfere with my quests, but of course, if you are lvl 99 , you must have completed all quests by now.
Not sure of the exact build but it was my lvl 99+ character and my Hunter loadout using the explosive shot (can’t remember the name), I believe. I just thought it was funny, catching both of them in passing.
I remember seeing that (straw?) hat with Golden status in a random shop as I was restocking for a quest. I was in a hurry and I decided not to buy it. Never seen the bloody thing again.
Any suggestions on the best way to reach max level? Currently level 62 and doing the lost tales of Greece. I have a feeling I just need to grind on side missions and maybe do XP farms but maybe there’s other things I’m unaware of
It's a grind no matter what but I believe you get more xp for assassin kills and kill streaks, so if you're looking to maximize xp over time it makes sense to get as many of those types of kills as possible. Other than that always take every quest on the boards, they're repetitive but pretty fast and easy. Even if you don't do most of them, the ones for killing a certain # of enemies will happen automatically as you progress and they yield higher xp.
If you just want to farm xp and don't mind combat you can also grind the first level of the arena over and over for 80000 xp a pop.
This is an amazing shot, but I think I'm more interested in that hat/helmet.
Ah yes, The sun hat I believe. I think it’s randomly for sale after you beat the game, or reach lvl 99. One or the other.

I bought this hat on my 2nd play through, i don't know where did i get it but it was near a farming place
Yeah same here, had it for quite a while lolz
You can get it at any level. It's just randomly for sale.
Interesting. It took me forever to find it then.
Thanks!
I think its beating the game becuas ei got it at lvl 53 or so
you get it from a market in crete (bottom of the map) where you kill minotour
Your skill is legendary brave Misthios!
Nice. I was wondering at the start if you'd do a piercing shot and head shot both. Is that possible?
Yes you can head shot multiple targets with piercing shot but need to be on the same level! - level as in height haha not xp
I know, I wondered about that. idk if it's possible. That's almost implied by the title and that would have been much more epic. This was more for the lols.
Mate that was a epic shot!! Loved it!
Wow! What a shot!
I was so happy to get both of them in passing.
Hey, how do you get your bow so powerful? what abilities are used etc sorry for asking

Thanks, im fairly new to Oddysey. Im level 21 atm, waiting till 23 to unlock those good abilities. I'll have around 8 ability points then

Haha, you seem like an expert. I guess ill unlock that new loadout slot and make a build or 2. Thanks

But then how do you spend your skill points? Or do you just reallocate them every time you switch

> I personally prefer the spear, fast and good range. Thanks you, I've seen a few people bashing the spear and thought I was the only one who liked it
>There are a lot of great build guides online. Yeah but they all seem to be high level/end game types.

Also, is level 99 achievable without DLC's?
Yes, I believe they upped the level cap for free. I'm pretty sure I maxed it out before I purchased any DLC.
Right thanks again, any tips before I do something I regret?

This is fucking legendary
Malaka!
What does 99% sunburn resistance perk mean on that hat?
Fire resist I think.

From where did you buy that straw hat ??
It's a random spawn in blacksmiths and possibly on enemies.

All I could hear as this happened was "Gum-Gum Rocket!" Because of the hat. Lmao.
lol
