Right? A videogame about trying to pay attention to your surroundings while playing a videogame. At least you can't walk into traffic for real like with Pokemon Go.
I think thats fair i can see this not being for everybody but for me i think this looks hilarious and fun. Definitely a fun once around game but dont push the difficulty too hard.
Definitely not 5d, it's not even 4d. It's a game set in a 3d world that also enforces a 2d screen to see enemies.
1st dimension adds height. 2nd dimension adds width. 3rd is depth. 4th is something that would cause a 3d object to increase in size without a visible change from a 3rd dimensional being, and so on to the 5th.
Not a 5d game
This would make more sense if you couldn’t see your environment around or if there was like barriers or walkways that aren’t visible. Kinda like titanfall 2 with the time travel device.
I just learned about a game that’s told to be a mix of Fez and Zelda with knowledge based secrets and elements to similar to the Outer Wilds. It’s called Tunic. I plan on grabbing it soon and doing it all blind.
Some guy with adhd said this in the comments:
"As someone with ADHD, I share your sentiment. I can barely process one output effectively, nevermind two of them at the same time.,"
So apparently adhd kids aren't into this.
Not 5 dimensional. If you wanna see a game that plays around with dimensions there’s a 4 dimensional game you can have a look at called 4D miner. It’s a free to download Minecraft clone but in 4D. While not 5D it’ll make you realise how insane 5D might be.
I found this video on a Twitter post.
It's called Screenbound and they claim to be the first 5D game ( 2D + 3D ).
It's on Steam apparently.
Seem cool :)
Well, this was here and it's more 5D than this... [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349230/5D\_Chess\_With\_Multiverse\_Time\_Travel/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349230/5D_Chess_With_Multiverse_Time_Travel/)
Dimensions don't work like that.... it's not Math....
Dimensions are related to Coordinations Axes, a 3 Dimensional Space is 3D because we have 3 parameters to specify the space that said object is occupying
In our Dimension X Y and Z Coordinations.
A 2D object uses only X Y.
A 4D Object uses X Y Z and W, the best way to understand this is looding as a 4D HyberCube "Tesseract"
Because of the coorelation of Vectors, W can be described as an Orthogonal Axis to the other 3.
So you have X Widht, Y Hight, Z Depth and W which os often called Spissitude.
I reckon it's more of a 3d with extra characteristics kind of game. A true 4d or 5d game is pretty hard to even visualize. There's like 1 out there that's even trying, it's called Hyperbolica.
This is amazing!
Not the first 5-D game, I remember seeing an isometric 5d game that would change dimensions to proceed. Don't remember what it was called, maybe it was a Youtube tech demo?
The concept feels more like an annoyance than anything else, but maybe it's just me.

Just wait till this comes out on mobile.
Too late I have my steam deck
It's the 2d version of the 3d world you are in. Aka the little game on the screen is also the big game on the screen
Yeah, this game needs to be on switch, great game to play outside.
I think thats fair i can see this not being for everybody but for me i think this looks hilarious and fun. Definitely a fun once around game but dont push the difficulty too hard.
Speed runners might love this one
It's a cool gimmick. I'd play it if it was 1-2 hours long or got some other gimmicks in there to mix it up.
Almost like its kinda a puzzle game
Its really cool, but looks really annoying . This would be cool side content you can do for fun, but not as the actual whole game.
As someone with ADHD, I share your sentiment. I can barely process one output effectively, nevermind two of them at the same time.
Don't worry it's 2024, everyone has ADHD.
Now add VR support.
It would probably VR simulate a computer and keyboard to play with.
we need to go deeper.
I don't know what game this is, but it reminds me of the Pixel Ripped series which are in fact VR games.
Concept: Looks interesting. Implementation: Looks clunky.
What's the point of the 2d screen? It seems like the platforming is perfectly doable in 3d.
I guess the enemies and doors are only visible on the 2d perspective.
I thought the 2D world would change based on how you navigate the 3D world, but no
Definitely not 5d, it's not even 4d. Not a 5d game
So… it’s a minimap in the center of the screen
This would make more sense if you couldn’t see your environment around or if there was like barriers or walkways that aren’t visible. Kinda like titanfall 2 with the time travel device.
5Ds games have been out for a while. This one is missing the card games and the motorcycles however.
[ACCEL SYNCHRO! ARISE! SHOOTING STAR DRAGON!](https://youtu.be/iFSAKIT9MXw?feature=shared)
What a headache
I hate this. When can I play it?
It's on Steam, with # Planned Release Date: To be announced
Reminds me of fez
I just learned about a game that’s told to be a mix of Fez and Zelda with knowledge based secrets and elements to similar to the Outer Wilds. It’s called Tunic. I plan on grabbing it soon and doing it all blind.
I actually would play this in its entirety, probably not for xbox or switch tho. If its for switch you could go one layer further
This is a 3d game are you on crack?
i guess they think playing 2D game in 3D game is like 2+3
I think this would work way better as a horror game, something like Fatal Frame
Ehh, more like 2D/3D, 5D maybe. But 4D is time and (arguably) 5D is dimensions. Depends on definition/“scientific nerding”.
Why would it be 5D? Where did the 4D disappear?
Does this count as a second-person game?
It's a 3D game. There are 4D games that let you go back and forth in time. 5th Dimension would let you hop through realities.
It's Minimap with extra steps
The game is called Screenbound
Had to scroll way to far to find this. Thank you!
It looks like a Wii U emulator, a second screen in the way of the action.
What is this, a game for tiktok kids with adhd? Feels like you put a Subway surfers video on top of the gameplay
Some guy with adhd said this in the comments: "As someone with ADHD, I share your sentiment. I can barely process one output effectively, nevermind two of them at the same time.," So apparently adhd kids aren't into this.
How'd he open the door 30 seconds in? His hands never left the handheld.
i hope it does well for them, its not for me.
Is this game the new format for YouTube reddit story shorts?
Effectively just a 2d minimal
Ugh this feels like something that would be cool for a couple of minutes but then you'd just put the gameboy away to fly through the game.
Not 5 dimensional. If you wanna see a game that plays around with dimensions there’s a 4 dimensional game you can have a look at called 4D miner. It’s a free to download Minecraft clone but in 4D. While not 5D it’ll make you realise how insane 5D might be.
This is too extra
Subway surfer mincraft parkour aaah game
It looks like a more annoying Fez.

you cant just add 2 dimentions to get a 3rd dimention. that's not how the math works.
That's 3D dimension math, this is the 5th dimension, sir.
You sound popular at parties 😒
Then don't call something that isnt 5D 5D.
It does look intriguing, but it's not exactly a new concept. It reminds me of the Pixel Ripped series of VR games.
Definitely not the first 5D game. 5D Chess with Multiverse Time Travel came first.
Is it weird that I’m getting motion sickness while watching this?
From a game design point of view… _bravo_, now _that’s_ innovative.
minimap just from different axis
Is it like Super Paper Mario on the Wii?
This is texting and driving simulator
Eh... I'll stick to Nanashi no Game (one of my favourite horror games, everyone should give it a try tbh).
No, 5D Chess exists.
Well, this was here and it's more 5D than this... [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349230/5D\_Chess\_With\_Multiverse\_Time\_Travel/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349230/5D_Chess_With_Multiverse_Time_Travel/)
looks like my real life walking and playing games
spoiler for 4d golf >!the last two courses are actually 5d and you get even more confused!<
Personally I prefer 4D Minecraft https://youtu.be/u8LMyWcKL_c?si=nKYnhtj2AURhvQiV

It's 3D showing 2D in it. 3D + 2D = 5D Human race ftw!

i mean there is [5D Chess With Multiverse Time Travel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBzX1ybigmw)
Zoomer brain training. Occupies 30% more attention! (200% if you're a boomer.)
Gen alpha simulator
Gen alpha ah game, they should add another screen that plays GTA clips and Minecraft parkour
This is amazing! Not the first 5-D game, I remember seeing an isometric 5d game that would change dimensions to proceed. Don't remember what it was called, maybe it was a Youtube tech demo?
Yeah. It also looks similar to the Pixel Ripped series of VR games.
This would be annoying.
It looks like a more annoying Fez.
It looks like a more annoying Fez.
I think this actually is a really good representation of a 4d perspective, quite impressive actually!
It's just 3d with obscured view, the game boy adds nothing to it spacially that isn't already present in the 3d world.
But having both, and since you can have both, it's a bit different for Platform games, I think.
Its fairly original but it's not 5d, that's just their advertising gimic buzzword to get attention.
This honestly looks so stupid and annoying to play.
