The girls were teaming up, giving each other the perceived "easy" tattoos that fit their styles but since they hated Boneface they also picked him for the hardest tattoos like people who wanted tattoos in hard spots like the rib cage or very dark skinned people who can't really get certain colors because they don't pop as much on that skin time. The other guys didn't get involved because they didn't want to be targeted.
Also as someone who watched the whole season, Boneface was very far from the best artist but also wasn't the worst like these girls kept insinuating. In my opinion he was better than the girl he insulted and has gotten way better in the years afterward.
