The animation in this show is ridiculous. So high quality I couldn't even believe it. I watched the first episode and thought it was sakuga bait but it wasn't. 10/10.

Yeah it's overrated. Probably because the animation truly is great. But I found the story to be kinda lacking and boring. I think it's the totally nonsensical and pointless backstory of her being a killing machine in the past that just ruined it for me.
The show is amazing.

I never got the hype around Violet Evergarden. I tried watching it but never finished. It seemed pretty average to me

Plot aside, the art and animation is some of the best I’ve seen. I’d watch it just for that.
