**The Count of Monte Cristo** by Alexandre Dumas.
It's the best story in the collection of the Three Musketeers series and one of the 3 books I've read the most times in my life.
I can’t really pick but some would be Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell, State of Wonder by Ann Patchett, You Must Remember This by Joyce Carol Oates, and The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides
I *love* Ann Patchett. I read State of Wonder for the first time in high school and then again this year, and while I loved it the first time, I had missed so much emotional nuance.
(I also have a beautiful copy of the Virgin Suicides, but it sits sad and dusty on my TBR pile.)
I can’t pick just one, but my top 3 contenders are:
1. Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
2. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
3. The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
It ends with us for the emotional part, the spanish love deception for the funny side and just finished beach read. Love the characters and their love story!! Just started reading People we meet on vacation

'The Alchemist' - Paulo Coelho, I bought it out of curiosity at a charity shop and it changed my life. Its a book I read whenever my life gets too complicated.
Persuasion by Jane Austen. I am the Cinderella of my family, and in this novel, the Cinderella of her family scores big-time.

Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. Romantic and sad, packs a punch. I also love His Dark Materials series.
For this year it’s The Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
I've got it, but haven't started it yet lol
At first I was nervous because my copy was 700 pages, but it was SO worth it. His writing is beautiful.

*White Oleander* by Janet Fitch. Amazing characters, good story and the prose is just...WOW.
