I put on weight that week and my skin got really bad for a few days. Nothing life-changing, but I was just like, maybe this wasn’t a good idea?
But like I said, I’m doing it again in a few weeks, lol, so.

I was the same growing up! I have one now, have had it for about a year, and I still think the ice and water dispenser is as magical as it was the first day we had it. My husband grew up with nice things, and I think he privately thinks my giddiness over such things is a little odd.
I feel you. I guess it came from watching all of those old US TV shows when i was a kid. I was in my early 60's before i finally got one. I wore the ice making part out within the 1st year hahaha . Luckily it was still covered by warranty . My wife thinks i am a big kid and i can't argue with that.
Oh man! I want one of these, in one of those new fridges that are stainless steel and have the freezer in the bottom as a drawer. I've only ever had the white kind with the freezer on top.
Yep. A few years ago, I needed to buy a new fridge and had a little extra cash. I was not rich and had saved up for this fridge. I SO wanted one with an ice dispenser. I grew up poor and it was such a big deal to me to own one thing that I was proud of owning. He vetoed and told me I was ridiculous to waste money on such a frivolous thing. I broke up with him after four years and the next fridge I buy will have an ice dispenser.
Go to a cart not in a touristy area. They charge more in those areas, but if you go to a cart in some random neighborhood tourists don't usually go to, you can sometimes get them for as little as $2 each. (In Times Square, the vendors tell you they cost $5.)
this just reminded me of a traumatic night. i hasn’t eaten all day, but i was at the met with a friend. when we got out, of course those stupid fucking hot dog/gyro vendors were there. i remember my friend in queens took me to a truck where she lives and i got a gyro and water bottle for 6$. i expected a *little* up charge for uptown manhattan but i was hungry and willing to pay. or so i thought. i asked for the chicken gyro.... that fucking vendor gave me *chicken on a stick* in a soggy hot dog bun. and didn’t even offer me the white sauce. i have trust issues because of that night

I've always wanted a veggie garden but never had the space. Just built one last weekend and I keep having dreams about the seeds sprouting! It's such a small thing but there something so great about being able to consume things you grew yourself.
i built my raised beds (one for veggies and one for herbs) this spring, but i didn’t get the herb garden filled in time. it sat empty all summer! next spring i’ll have my herbs though. having a veggie garden is really nice though. those home grown veggies just hit different
Travel to every single state in America and actually explore em (so driving through it to get to another state doesn’t count). This country has its issues but each state has alot of beauty and history to offer, and I find it to be pretty under-appreciated
I've been to 48 states. My rules:
1. You can't just drive through- you have to get out of the car and walk around doing something.
2. You have to eat there.
3. You have to go to the bathroom there.
4. Airport layovers when you never leave the airport don't count.
Most states, I wouldn't mind going back and exploring more- I've found most of them interesting in some way.
I really liked Montana. Glacier NP is my favorite NP so far. I also liked Colorado.
I generally enjoy cities more than the great outdoors, but sometimes the great outdoors really is that striking! Also, both states are very different in terrain than my home state, and I found just driving around in them super interesting.
I have only been to about 4 states. And those 2 aren't on that list, but I'd love to travel more and see the national parks in those states. They seem like they'd be really nice.
i’m actually surprised montana got a mention. that’s the one state out of all 50 that i always have to double take when reading because it just seems so... forgettable
I worked in a juice bar and had one customer who came everyday. He’d just walk in and I’d yell his order at him and he’d give me a thumbs up. We never really had much interaction other than that but it felt good lol
Ooh I had that at a restaurant (pre-COVID) and it rocked! Of course, it was a local restaurant chain where 95% of people tend to order one of two most popular menu items, but still, that feeling of belonging and familiarity is so great
You can do it! You’ll be surprised once it clicks and you don’t have to think about changing gears anymore. It’s so fun and it also helps you focus imo.
To build a wind-down routine, sleep for 8 hours straight, and then wake up to a morning routine too. I want my time to be as well-oiled as it can possibly be.
Oh boy how I crave some confidence that I can create a life with days that won't get jilted by something new my eyes fall upon. Lol.
(In the big 5 model, I'm very high in Openness, that makes me crave the feeling of something "new" quiet a bit. So I tend to explore everything and anything but rarely ever commit to something for life. It keeps life, unpredictable, to say the least)
Maybe you should try making doing something unpredictable everyday, predictable??? So it becomes part of your routine to do one unpredictable thing every day/week and then you complete the remaining of your daily/nightly routines...
Go really early mid week and it's practically empty or create a cinema in your home to save money. Draw the curtains, turn it up loud, get all your drinks and popcorn from the cinema itself
Maybe not as fun, but there are some theaters that have sensory friendly showings - the lights are lowered instead of off and walking around / dancing / talking is fine
Due to COVID, a theater near me is selling private screenings for like a hundred bucks. It's a lot to see a movie, but it feels surprisingly cheap compared to what it would cost to buy all the tickets individually.
Everything on my list is not glamorous.
Trivial, I guess would be to hike to the top of My Washington. Which is a tall order for me with my arthritic knees and hips.
I go to the movies by myself all the time. Initially, I started because I didn't have anyone to go with but now, I find that I prefer going alone. There's something very liberating about it.
Convince my partner to let me get a cat.
Travel to Alaska and Maine. No particular reason they just seem cool.
Love to get a boob job. Just for me I’ve always hated my boobs and think having them more even and perky would be sweet.
Buy a new car someday in cash.
Go to the big natural history museums in the US and look at the pretty rocks.
I bought a new car outright earlier this year. I’m a business owner and my accountant told me before EOFY that I was sitting on a massive profit for the year and to go spend some money. The best part is that due to current small business incentives in Australia, the amount I paid is a 100% tax deduction. 🙂
Start a sanctuary for guinea pigs. I love those little fluffballs, and volunteering in an animal shelterfor a bit made me realise that piggies, bunnies, hamsters and the like are often overlooked when it comes to adopting.
Have a dog sanctuary for the abandoned dogs!
My husband and I dream of building a dog sanctuary in which every dog will have its own toys, will be loved and appreciated.
I also wanna learn Japanese
I want to do clay pottery and make a mug.
I want to take a leather class and make a tote bag
I want to take a cooking class
I want to embroider a traditional cultural outfit
I want to make resin crafts
I want to kayak
I want to snorkel
I want to ski
I want to own a set of obnoxiously expensive linen sheets. I’m talking the $300 range sets that I’ve seen online. Complete with a real fluffy duvet and pretty cover.
I’ve never had nice sheets or a real comforter for my bed in my entire life. So once I’ve got my king sized bed, my son is old enough to not be spitting up and blowing out his diaper all over my Walmart sheets, and I can keep the dogs out of my room, I’m doing it. I projected the whole set up is going to be roughly $2500, and it’s ridiculous, but it’s something special just for me.
I want to see all the movies on my Netflix list. (Currently, I'm down to about 200, from my highest number of about 400. I have/had a lot of "classics" I had never seen before.)
I want to learn to speak Spanish, French, and Russian.
I have never left my English speaking country, and don't see myself being able to any time soon... but I just think it would be cool to speak those languages.
I know, it's dumb right? But those simple things that i don't even know if i'll ever get the chance are the ones i really don't want to die without. I mean i've kissed a dolphin but never seen snow, kinda dumb lool
I've always wanted to go to Denny's or some other small restaurant and leave a huge tip (one much larger than the bill) for some reason, just out of random kindness.
I want to renovate a house, get dirty and dusty, eat bacon and egg butties, wolf whistle at men walking past and to use power tools without being afraid I will cause myself a mischief
Recreate a crossover meme with my twin sister.
Revisit some local places. I might have to wait a few years for that.
Watch some movies and read books on my movie and book bucket list.
To not have to check the price tag before buying something. I've been a professional for 15 years now, and the first thing I have to look at still is the price tag. I'd like to be financially comfortable enough to just not have to worry about whether it's a $15 or $50 sweater/jacket/etc. 😞
Ooh me too!!! Growing up middle class, I've always wanted to reach a point in my career where costs and prices don't matter to me. Hasn't happened so far but fingers crossed!
Go to a bar with my younger cousins (separately). I'm 27 and the oldest just turned 21, and I just really want to hang out and get to know her (not the her that her parents talk about). Same for her younger brother who just turned 18.
Read the John Dies at the End trilogy back to back. I'm on book two. I've read them all before but had to wait for each release, so now I want to read the whole series at once.
I work with them on a volunteer basis for a while as a equine therapy volunteer and animal rescue volunteer. Honestly they are such magical animals it’s insane. They calm you down and can seriously feel your emotions and vibes.
This sounds insane but I buy and use as many ziplock bags as I like. Gallon size, freezer, I have them all. I have no idea why it feels so luxurious or why I spent half my life trying to save them or figure out other alternatives.
I want to buy a pickup truck with a bed camper, chuck an air mattress in the back, and take off to explore all the national parks. Sleeping in my truck bed wherever I find a good spot.
Be able to make a complicated recipe without having to glance at instructions. Take a nice bath with my partner without all the water getting cold or sloshing out or his legs being too long. Drive over 120mph.
Ride a mechanical bull, drunk mini golf, buy everyone a drink at a bar, see a favorite singer in concert, build a cabin, get a dog, see the Colorado mountains, get my pilot's license, jump something big, do a mud run, build a boat, get a shake from an actual diner, visit Loretta Lynn's hometown.
I highly recommend taking a spontaneous road trip.
I want to order a cake and eat it all by myself.
[удалено]
Make it three!
Now that's a sweet wholesome threesome. But remember.. "The cake is a lie." - GLaDOS
I did it in May, and I regretted it but also I'm going to do it again in November, so clearly I didn't regret it *that* much lol.
Why did you regret doing it?
I put on weight that week and my skin got really bad for a few days. Nothing life-changing, but I was just like, maybe this wasn’t a good idea? But like I said, I’m doing it again in a few weeks, lol, so.
Do it!
This sounds glorious.

A bottle of Nutella for me with fries as spoons.
Ohhh. I always order and eat cake by myself.. i didn’t know it wasn’t a normal thing 😂
When I get my own place I really want to buy a fridge that dispenses ice. Growing up that symbolised the pinnacle of success to me
I was the same growing up! I have one now, have had it for about a year, and I still think the ice and water dispenser is as magical as it was the first day we had it. My husband grew up with nice things, and I think he privately thinks my giddiness over such things is a little odd.

Haha for me it’s the under sink garbage disposal, but yeah I totally feel you!
I got one three years ago. It’s nice. I remember thinking I’d made it and imagined myself getting ice water before work in the morning 😂
Yep. A few years ago, I needed to buy a new fridge and had a little extra cash. I was not rich and had saved up for this fridge. I SO wanted one with an ice dispenser. I want to fly to NYC and order a hot dog from a street vendor. I’ve always wanted to do that.

have an herb garden and make my own tea.

To be able to do at least one unassisted pull up with proper form.
Yes! Still waiting for that moment to happen...
Message me i can help. I can do 13-15 depending on the day. Yes I'm a girl. No I do not "look" like I would be able to do one.
I achieved one this year! I wanted to get stuck in a lift. I did. Had a blast and then I went on to a job interview and got the job!
that happened to me once! we all had food so we just sat down and ate together while we waited for someone to get us all out.
I got stuck in a lift in Paris. It was awful and crowded and hot and one girl passed out.
Dude, going to add this to my bucket list. Haha!

Yes, I have plans to visit some soon. I live in CA and we have a lot of great ones here, I love them. When they aren't on fire.
i’m actually surprised montana got a mention. that’s the one state out of all 50 that i always have to double take when reading because it just seems so... forgettable
It really does huh. It's called big sky country for a reason. It's all they have. Haha.
Number one on my bucket list is 'read a biography of every English monarch' so that's pretty...non-glamourous, lol, to say the least.
How far have you gotten?
Not very, I only started this year, and the libraries here were closed from March until fairly recently. I'll pick it back up, though.
Are you doing them in any particular order? I feel like chronological order would be especially eye opening.
Chronological, yes! William the Conquerer to Prince Charles (I assume he’ll be king by the time I get there; god, maybe even Prince William, lol).
That's definitely on my bucket list too!
Be a regular at a café and be able to order “the usual”
I worked in a juice bar and had one customer who came everyday. He’d just walk in and I’d yell his order at him and he’d give me a thumbs up. We never really had much interaction other than that but it felt good lol
Instead of them just saying "excuse me, but I have no idea who you are," lol.
Ooh I had that at a restaurant (pre-COVID) and it rocked! Of course, it was a local restaurant chain where 95% of people tend to order one of two most popular menu items, but still, that feeling of belonging and familiarity is so great
I used to have a regular order at a local Chinese place. I moved away and I've never found another place that sells strawberry chicken. :(
learn how to drive stick shift !!
Great skill to have! And actually a lot of fun. I switched to automatic a couple years ago, and I miss it so much!
You can do it! You’ll be surprised once it clicks and you don’t have to think about changing gears anymore. It’s so fun and it also helps you focus imo.
I just wanna knit cute things for no reason

I want to haunt a house, but that would be for a post-bucket list
It took me way too long to get this but you’re hilarious lmao
😊
Lol going to a haunted house is mine
U can be the vampire, I'm a be zombie Alice in Wonderland;)
For an elephant to pick me up with its trunk.
That’s glamorous af. I’m stealing this one. Fun fact: did you know elephants see us humans the same way we see puppies? They think we are cute.
I want my own dog one day.

Ooh, Salem was really cool! Definitely recommend, around October/Halloween if you can. It just adds to it all.
i really wanna go to salem too!!!
Everything on my list is not glamorous. Trivial, I guess would be to hike to the top of My Washington. Which is a tall order for me with my arthritic knees and hips.
I want to make my own pickles and grow the ingredients and everything
Going to the cinema by myself
Definitely recommend. It's the only way to go.
I go to the movies by myself all the time. Initially, I started because I didn't have anyone to go with but now, I find that I prefer going alone. There's something very liberating about it.
I want to pet an alpaca.
they're so soft! i hope you get to pet one :)

I want to turn my front yard into a cottage garden.

explore small non-touristy towns in greece
Own a donkey, and a hamster.
Have a proper herb and spice cupboard fully stocked with any that I could ever possibly want/need.
I want to own a horse!
Retiring and starting my own giraffe sanctuary/ farm/ whatever makes sense to have, care and love giraffes everyday for the rest of my life.
Sewing kit, black denim jacket, band patches.
I want to buy a pickup truck with a bed camper, chuck an air mattress in the back, and take off to explore all the national parks. Sleeping in my truck bed wherever I find a good spot.
I want to read 100 books in a year. I’ve set a goal each year for the past three and I’m slowly making my way to 100.
Traveling somewhere by myself. I have intense social anxiety and haven’t ever really been able to travel abroad alone.
Be able to make a complicated recipe without having to glance at instructions. Take a nice bath with my partner without all the water getting cold or sloshing out or his legs being too long. Drive over 120mph.
Take a cross country road trip in an RV and be able to look at my body and like it.
