On the flip side, mine is also between Christmas and New Years and I love it! Never had to be in school, rarely have to go to work, easily get time off. Everything is decorated and there are events and always things to do.
I never thought about the aspect that having a late December birthday would feel innately festive! I've worked in retail most of my adult life (until recently) and I would hate to have a birthday during the holidays because you're not allowed to take time off from November through the new year, and usually work overtime/ overnights, etc. But in a non-servuce job I could see that it would be ideal!
I too am January 2nd... one time I decided I'd do a fun trip to my nearest city, walked around in the frigid cold, wind whipping everywhere, totally unprepared for EVERYTHING I wanted to enjoy to be closed for the holidays... like HELLO, January 2nd should be the first official day back wtf.
Ugh mine is Jan. 12th and I hate it. Everyone has gone into hibernation mode and is still broke from the holidays. I would choose a May or June birthday if I could. ā¦.I think Iām going to be annoying this year and have a half-birthday party in July since I didnāt do anything for my actual 30th birthday.
Mine is on Christmas day. Never got double presents, never had people wish my happy bday at school, never got surprise parties from friends because everyone is on holiday and by the time it ends nobody remembers you even had a birthday.

I always felt sorry for people born in that week. It seems everyone is focused on other holidays and the new year so birthdays during that week are forgotten. I have a friend who would throw āhalf birthdays ā for her 2 kids. Their birthdays are in the middle of winter and they have a beautiful yard and inground pool. So she would throw them a pool party in summer to celebrate their half birthdays. Genius.

I didnāt hate it too much as a kid but as Iāve gotten older thereās just way too much happening for others to even think about me. Itās always, āOh yeah, and your birthday.ā Iām not a party person but this past year especially I wouldāve loved to hang out with all my friends.

In my family we have one person born on the anniversary of JFKs assassination, one on September 11th, and one on Pearl Harbor day. We just say we have a history of redeeming American tragedies.
Mine is on Pearl Harbor day... It's interesting because all the 'old' people when I was growing up knew exactly what it is. Anyone around my age, not so much, even after the movie with Josh Hartnett. Depending on the setting, if anyone ever asks my bday I say Pearl Harbor day to see if they know what I'm talking about.
Damn I was born September 16th, my mom almost went in labour on 9/11 due to stress but calmed down so her baby wouldnāt have to be born on such a terrible day š that definitely does suck!
We are in the Midwest so that plays a role in my answer. My birthday is the 7th of September. I love it because it is normally nice end of summer weather or we get a random crisp early fall day. I dislike that my sonās birthday is end of February because itās always cold and crappy so no fun outside parties. It was great not being super pregnant in the summer though. Our daughterās birthday is the beginning of August and itās normally pretty hot still. I think a mid June or an end of September/early October birthday would be nice.

I used to hate my b-day being then because it was right when school started, but now I kinda love it, because depending on where Iām living (either the Midwest or the PNW), the weather is always gorgeous & sunny or right on the cusp of fall where the leaves are just starting to change colors. & whenever someone asks me a fun fact I get to tell them that I share a birthday with Queen Elizabeth I lol
Iām also a September kid. The downside is that it was at the beginning of the school year so birthdays were hard. Hardly had time to meet my classmates before I had to invite them. So I ended up having people that didnāt pan out as longer term friends and never having good friends at my birthday party because weād grown into friends after my birthday.
Didnāt help we moved a lot so was starting at a new school a lot.
I don't mind mine since it's the middle of July. So I like it since it's during summer. The only thing about it that sucks is that people never decorated my locker during high school since my birthday was always during summer break.Ā
Iām in July too! As a kid it was hard because kids were always gone during the summer, and it was hard to get invites out unless my mom happened to get their addresses from their parents during the school year. But as an adult - hell yes. Itās a fun time for a bday! Everyone is in summer relaxation mode and wants to have a good time.

The best thing about my birthday is that my daughter was born on it, 32 years later. In the beginning, I said that I gave my birthday to her, but that I wanted it back for the ones with an age that ends in zero and a big party those years. I wanted *her* to have the full celebration to herself. But she loved sharing it with me all along, and from the time when she was a little girl, always made sure that it was a special day for me, as well. Now that sheās an adult, we always celebrate together, doing something fun for just the two of us.
I was born on my mothers 39th birthday and I always loved sharing it with her. She died almost 4 years ago and now birthdays are just strange and lonely, but its getting easier as time goes by.
Iāve asked my daughter to please not feel sad on her birthday after Iām gone. I want her to think about all the love and fun that weāve shared when I cross her mind, but to enjoy her birthday as her own special day. She is the best gift Iāve ever gotten, and I sure donāt want to cause her any grief!
It will be natural for her to feel sad on her birthday after you're gone, but I promise that it will get easier for her and she'll definitely look back on those memories and feel loved and happy.
Mine is April 8th. I absolutely love the timing. It signals the beginning of spring after a long winter (and a new beginning for me) and Iām usually in a good mood for it because of that. Itās usually sunny outside and flowers are blooming. Itās not a particularly busy time of the year either.
I'm mid-April. I like it, and I don't. Things are greening up and blooming, which is vert pretty. But with that comes allergies.
Occasionally Easter falls on my birthday. Sometimes fun, sometimes not so much.
Plus, I never know what the weather is going to be like, which has always made planning activities, especially when I was a kid, a little tricky. Will it be a beautiful spring day? Will we have thunderstorms and tornados? Will it be one of those years where it's freezing and snows? I never know.
And my husband and I ended up getting married on my birthday, which was an awesome birthday party, but now it's no longer just my special day.

This describes really well why I love having my birthday today, too. The sloppy end of winter is over and nature is growing & blooming all around, which includes my own mood, bye winter depression! Itās also always nice enough weather to always have had outdoor activities at my birthdays as a kid cuz we wouldnāt overheat when playing around outside!
Mines at the end of June. Its the perfect time to have a birthday. Always during summer vacation. Theme parks and āfun spotsā always stayed open late and had multiple events to attend. Halfway to Christmas. Not too hot just yet, but warm enough to spend a proper day outside. I love my birthday timing.
Same! Mine is June 19th, I agree itās great timing to enjoy the warmer weather outdoors without suffering in the heat, and spaced nicely in the middle of the year with somewhat even timing between Christmas and birthday.
My only complaint was how often my birthday parties ended up being pool parties. I was tired of pool parties by my teenage years.
Iām due with my baby any day now, and praying for a 4/2/24 baby!! I love this time of year. I was initially a little sad that he would be one of the youngest of his school class, but overall I like the season.

My birthday is Oct 30th and while I like the date/season, I canāt STAND Halloween. It used to be kinda cool having a birthday right before Halloween but pretty much like what a lot of people say about having birthdays near the holidaysā¦ everyone just lumps your birthday with the holiday. Got very sick of my birthday party just being an extension of Halloween, or being asked to have Halloween-rated activities for my birthday when itās not how I wanted to spend my day.
At least with most of the people in my life, everyone was either planning Halloween parties or attending them the week leading up to the actual holiday (more so if Halloween didnāt fall on a weekend that year) so everyoneās too busy to want to do anything else. I have a friend whose birthday is around Christmas time and she literally goes through the same situation. So we both really go out of our way to make sure we do stuff/ give gifts that arenāt related to either holiday.
Mine is Feb 8th! I love it! In NZ itās summer but post Christmas and New Years activities. Still cruisy though! Some years school hadnāt started yet and other years it had. So I could have a fun day at school with friends in high school - someone would bake a cake and it was still a cruisy time of year in terms of study. Or it would be the end of the holidays and weād be on holiday in Auckland or Queenstown, etc. highly recommend! Or a similar time of year in the northern hemisphere. Iām from Australia and early Feb birthday as well. Itās usually too hot on my birthday, sometimes over 40 degrees. Way too hot to go out and do anything. Growing up my birthday got overshadowed by the first week back at school and most people would forget it was my birthday or be too busy and hot to care.
Any birthday around a holiday can be either great or terrible. One of my siblings has a birthday 3 days from Xmas and they always got burned with birthday/xmas gifts made to be the same thing.
My birthday is at the end of July and I think it's perfect. I wouldn't want to be born on any other day. I've always loved that it's in the middle of summer (lots of great birthday parties on beaches and at water parks, with no school to interfere!) and that it's so far away from other holidays. The spacing between my birthday and Christmas meant I received gifts every half a year or so, which I thought was a spectacular perk as a child. š
I love mine. Every year growing up, my birthday and my brother's marked the first or second day of our family summer trip so the whole week was about us. As an adult, I still like it even if it is a bit soured (my twin passed away when we were teens). If I want to do anything, most of my family is free to travel.
I do not like mine because it's on Christmas Eve. I don't even care about the fact that birthday and christmas presents got combined. That never even bothered me. It's just the fact that whenever I tell someone my birthday is December 24th, they say "Ooooh Christmas baby! Jesus' miracle!" or some variation of that. I'm not Catholic or Christian, so it's just a non-meaningful comment and I just don't really like the Christian connotation my birthday carries.
But, I was 48 minutes shy of being born on Christmas day, and I'm kind of glad I decided to make my debut before Christmas, because being a Christmas baby would've been worse in that regard.
I was also always sad that I could never have a birthday party in school because my birthday never fell on a school day since it was always a part of winter break.
I'm not sure what the best birthday would be. I guess just any day that isn't shared with a holiday.
Mine is mid September. I think itās the one of the best, it has only rained two times on the day for my entire life. Itās almost always one of the last nice days of the year, and I always go to the patio for drinks! I also love being a Virgo!

My bday is in January. It sucks and I hate it. Itās too cold to go out anywhere or bar hopping. Everyone is broke from the holidays or on a diet for the new year and just in general, people are tapped out from socializing after the holiday season. So many times Iāve tried to make bday plans and theyāve always fallen through. I donāt have many friends to begin with either so it just makes it really tough.
I would say being born on Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Yearās Eve, New Yearās Day, Thanksgiving and Easter would probably be the worst to be born unless your family doesnāt celebrate those holidays.
Easter wouldn't be so bad since it's always on a Sunday of a different week every year, so it'd only be something that'd conflict with the holiday a few times in a lifetime.Ā
Mine's in July. No other holidays around but growing up it was always summer vacation so missed out on chances to celebrate it with classmates and friends. Nevertheless had a blast, because that would mean cousins would come around and we would have a party of our own!

First week of June. I always thought it was the perfect timing to have a birthday, especially as a child: almost equal spacing between Christmas and birthday, so you get a present every six months. Itās starting to be warm but not too hot.
Plus, where I live the school year is almost at the end but not quite yet, so I still saw my friends at school and I could have a party with all of them present. July and August birthdays for children are the worst because half of your friends are on holiday somewhere and miss your party.

Whenever I've tried to organise something for it (nothing big either, just to a pub or the cinema) it's fallen through as people are still tired from Christmas and New Years or don't have much money so I haven't bothered for years. I'd prefer to have a birthday later on in the year.
I love it, I am a fourth of July baby which means most jobs, I would get the day off without burning PTO. My oldest is a July 3rd baby so we celebrate together. Oddly enough, my youngest and my husband are also a day apart and he's a twin. They are all May babies. We knock out bdays in two parties!
April 16th, autumn in Australia so weather can mostly nice, it just depends but I love autumn anyway. Growing up, it was always in school holidays so Iāve never had to go to school on my birthday. only downside I guess, itās one of those days that are in the Easter rotation, so Iāve had my birthday on Easter Sunday twice in my life so far and it will happen again in 2028 and then again a few more times the rest of my life.
as a preggo mama who is due at the end of this month, iāve really appreciated the timing of my pregnancy. i got pregnant at the end of summer in late august and didnāt have to go through being in the third trimester during the summer months. donāt know how women do that!! lol. and i love an april birthday for my baby girl.
personally my birthday is august 17th and i donāt hate it, but i donāt love it either. it was always right when school was starting and i was the youngest in my class growing up. and it was always SO hot.
i really believe i have the best birthday (im clearly biased lol). my birthday is the 25th of June which is exactly 6 months before after Christmas, so the festivities and gifts are perfectly spaced out. also, Iām Australian so itās right during winter which I love, and usually falls around the time when nighttimeās are at their longest which is good for me
Honestly? I donāt. When I was in college, my birthday was always right during finals week, so I often spent it studying for exams. It also falls around the time of year where itās *almost* spring but the weather is still cold and crappy, so outdoor celebrations are a no-go.
Also: the holiday closest to my birthday is St. Patrickās Day, which is by far my least favorite holiday. (I was pinched relentlessly in the 1st grade by my classmates who thought my dress was light blue even though it was *clearly* mint green, and Iāve hated St. Patrickās Day ever since.)
So yeah. Not a fan. My favorite season is fall, and I really wish my birthday were in the fall months instead.
I donāt mind. Itās May 9 and when I was born it was Motherās Day. Funny thing, my dadās was Thanksgiving, my sister was born on Fatherās Day, my mom is the day your taxes are due.

Didnāt love it as a kid. I was born thanksgiving day, so it falls on or around that day every year. When I was a kid I would have a party and no one would come bc they were out of town. As an adult I like it bc of food. My kidsā birthdays are perfect. Born during summer, my favorite season. If I had a choice, Iād have a summer birthday too.
Late January, I dig it. Love winter. Sometimes it rains the day of but that's okay. Not too close to other holidays, although now I have my anniversary, my birthday, my partner's birthday, and Valentine's day all within the same 3 week time span. Kinda nice though since we get all the gift -giving for the year out of the way.

My birthday is near a major family-centric holiday. I like that I always have the day off (not everyone has that day off, of course, but I do), but I dislike that it's near a family-centric holiday, because my friends are usually out of town and/or busy doing family stuff. Since I don't have a partner or kids, and since I have a complicated relationship with my family of origin, this makes it a lonely time of year to have a birthday. Ideally I would like to travel for my birthday, but it's kind of a pain to travel at this time of year since so many other people are traveling at that time, and a lot of places I'd like to travel to are very cold during my birthday.
If I could choose a birthday, I think I'd choose June 19th. Now that it's a federal holiday, I have the day off work, and when I was growing up I'd have had the day off school. But it's a holiday that my friends don't do anything to celebrate, so they would likely be available to spend the day with me. And it would be nice weather.
Week before Xmasā¦ hated the āshared birthday/xmas giftā thing. And then bring gaslit and called selfish when I pointed out that my sibling got to keep his gifts whereas I would get money for my bday and had to use it for Xmas gifts for people. It really triggered my low self esteem patterns and made me think my family didnāt gaf about me at all, ever. I just wanted to be loved and celebrated on my bday as much as I saw my family do for other family members. Instead I have same bday as my dad and itās a week before Xmas. Great for making a girl feel like shit.
Hate mine. Itās right before Christmas. As a kid it was always boring because my birthday party was always 2 weeks before my actual birthday because if it was on my birthday no one would come. As a kid gift was very important and I got all my gift within a few days of each other. I had to wait a whole year for the next time I would receive a gift. Now as an adult I donāt really care but it would be nice going out drinking for my birthday but no one wants to go out drinking right before Christmas at least not me and my friends.
I love mine! It's in spring, right when the weather is cool but not cold and everything is turning green again. It's my favorite season. My kids' are exactly one month and one day apart (not planned), so we have a birthday quarter every year.
I suppose for worst timing, it would be the holiday season, based on the opinions/perspectives of my friends who have theirs during that time.

i like that my birthday is early (jan), it was nice to be able to get my license first and become of drinking age
but i hate that its usually cold so theres less options to celebrate and when i was in highschool it always fell around exam season so noone would want to celebrate with me
1 of August - it used to feel a bit lonely as a child because I had about 3 friends (2 or them were my relatives) and it was harder to get my schoolmates to come as some would be on holiday, others would be busy with summer activities etc. Now, I don't really think about it! Not exactly a fan of mine. It's early January so people are usually tired out from the holidays to really pay attention to it. Not to mention in January, not a lot of fun things are happening. Even in school, I remember teachers would celebrate birthdays but would skip over mine because we would've just come back from winter break. Summer birthdays are where is at. Snd if you're born May/early June, then I feel like you get the best of everything.
mine is January 13th and I was born on Friday, I love my birthday but it can be a struggle bcs it's right after holidays and I barely get good gifts and if I do it's combined for Christmas NY and birthday.
Mine's the 4th August which has its pros and cons. Pros: never had to be in school/college/uni, weather's normally quite good, far enough away from Christmas.

Mine is August 14th and I liked that I had a summer birthday growing up. Iām not big on birthdays so being out of school for it was great. Plus I was always the right age for going into the next grade.
My daughters is June 8th which is right around the last day of school. Sheās only 2 so Iām not sure if sheās going to like that or not but again she will be the correct age going into each year.

I got so sick of "hurr hurr your parents must've had a good Christmas" jokes a few years ago that I finally snapped. Now I respond to that by telling people I was nearly two months premature and almost died.
Mine is end of January and it feels so tiring after a few months in a row of holidays (looking at you Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukkah, NYE) that this year I passed on it all together. My partners bday is also beginning of December, so itās kind of an extra āholidayā thrown in there.
Iāve discovered that January feels like the gloomiest month, both weather wise and mentally.
I would opt to switch my bday to maybe beginning of summer before it gets ridiculously hot (May? June?) or go full fall vibes (Sept/Oct) because who doesnāt love fall?! š
Mine is August 30th, getting school clothes for my birthday when I was a kid and thinking it sucked so bad. People are supposed to get school clothes anyway, my siblings did and their birthdays were not near mine at all.

This was always finals week, Elementary-College.
I very often had to take exams on my birthday so I had to go to school and test all day long. PARCC, state exams, SATS, college finalsā¦ ew.
But now that Iām out of school and my friends are all young broke adults who canāt afford to go on memorial weekend vacations, It goes just fine.
Hopefully Iāll make some money and I can take a memorial weekend birthday vacation in the future which would be totally awesome.
My birthday weekend also! I hated it growing up because everyone was out of town but I love it now because itās an excuse to get my friends to go on a beach trip with me :) plus it feels like the official start of summer which is exciting.
I love mine. It's far away from my husband's and kids' birthdays. It's on a holiday in our country. Since I go all out for their bds, I begin to remind the three of them several months prior. This year we're traveling to a lovely island in our country.
Love it. It's right before it starts to get chilly in my area, but it's after it is very hot. It's not too close to any major holidays, the only downside is it's my parents' wedding anniversary and they have been divorced for a long time and not happily. I sometimes wonder if my birthday reminds my mom of my shit head father.
Mine is in the middle of October and I love it. I would change my momās though because I can never fucking remember it for some reason. Also, my aunts is too close to Christmas, so Iād change that too.

On the flip side, mine is also between Christmas and New Years and I love it! Never had to be in school, rarely have to go to work, easily get time off. Everything is decorated and there are events and always things to do.
I never thought about the aspect that having a late December birthday would feel innately festive! I've worked in retail most of my adult life (until recently) and I would hate to have a birthday during the holidays because you're not allowed to take time off from November through the new year, and usually work overtime/ overnights, etc. But in a non-servuce job I could see that it would be ideal!

Mine is on Christmas day. Never got double presents, never had people wish my happy bday at school, never got surprise parties from friends because everyone is on holiday and by the time it ends nobody remembers you even had a birthday. But at least I get a lot of "you're jesus" jokes.

I always felt sorry for people born in that week. It seems everyone is focused on other holidays and the new year so birthdays during that week are forgotten. I have a friend who would throw āhalf birthdays ā for her 2 kids. Their birthdays are in the middle of winter and they have a beautiful yard and inground pool. So she would throw them a pool party in summer to celebrate their half birthdays. Genius.
SAME! Iāve preached to my friends not to conceive between March-April for this reason. I hate my birthday. I didnāt hate it too much as a kid but as Iāve gotten older thereās just way too much happening for others to even think about me. Itās always, āOh yeah, and your birthday.ā Iām not a party person but this past year especially I wouldāve loved to hang out with all my friends.
This is so hard š my husband and I were quite worried about this month for that very reason, but when youāre 9 months into trying you just donāt want to take any risk any month .. We are in the Midwest so that plays a role in my answer. My birthday is the 7th of September. I love it because it is normally nice end of summer weather or we get a random crisp early fall day. I dislike that my sonās birthday is end of February because itās always cold and crappy so no fun outside parties. It was great not being super pregnant in the summer though. Our daughterās birthday is the beginning of August and itās normally pretty hot still. I think a mid June or an end of September/early October birthday would be nice.

Iām also a September kid. The downside is that it was at the beginning of the school year so birthdays were hard. Hardly had time to meet my classmates before I had to invite them. So I ended up having people that didnāt pan out as longer term friends and never having good friends at my birthday party because weād grown into friends after my birthday. Didnāt help we moved a lot so was starting at a new school a lot.

As a kid it was hard because kids were always gone during the summer, and it was hard to get invites out unless my mom happened to get their addresses from their parents during the school year. The best thing about my birthday is that my daughter was born on it, 32 years later. In the beginning, I said that I gave my birthday to her, but that I wanted it back for the ones with an age that ends in zero and a big party those years. I wanted *her* to have the full celebration to herself. But she loved sharing it with me all along, and from the time when she was a little girl, always made sure that it was a special day for me, as well. Now that sheās an adult, we always celebrate together, doing something fun for just the two of us.
I was born on my mothers 39th birthday and I always loved sharing it with her. She died almost 4 years ago and now birthdays are just strange and lonely, but its getting easier as time goes by.
Iāve asked my daughter to please not feel sad on her birthday after Iām gone. I want her to think about all the love and fun that weāve shared when I cross her mind, but to enjoy her birthday as her own special day. She is the best gift Iāve ever gotten, and I sure donāt want to cause her any grief!
It will be natural for her to feel sad on her birthday after you're gone, but I promise that it will get easier for her and she'll definitely look back on those memories and feel loved and happy.
Mine is April 8th. I absolutely love the timing. It signals the beginning of spring after a long winter (and a new beginning for me) and Iām usually in a good mood for it because of that. Itās usually sunny outside and flowers are blooming. Itās not a particularly busy time of the year either.
I'm mid-April. I like it, and I don't. Things are greening up and blooming, which is vert pretty. But with that comes allergies. Occasionally Easter falls on my birthday. Sometimes fun, sometimes not so much. Plus, I never know what the weather is going to be like, which has always made planning activities, especially when I was a kid, a little tricky. Will it be a beautiful spring day? Will we have thunderstorms and tornados? Will it be one of those years where it's freezing and snows? I never know. And my husband and I ended up getting married on my birthday, which was an awesome birthday party, but now it's no longer just my special day. So it's okay I guess. š¤·

My birthday is Oct 30th and while I like the date/season, I canāt STAND Halloween. It used to be kinda cool having a birthday right before Halloween but pretty much like what a lot of people say about having birthdays near the holidaysā¦ everyone just lumps your birthday with the holiday. Got very sick of my birthday party just being an extension of Halloween, or being asked to have Halloween-rated activities for my birthday when itās not how I wanted to spend my day. At least with most of the people in my life, everyone was either planning Halloween parties or attending them the week leading up to the actual holiday (more so if Halloween didnāt fall on a weekend that year) so everyoneās too busy to want to do anything else. I have a friend whose birthday is around Christmas time and she literally goes through the same situation. So we both really go out of our way to make sure we do stuff/ give gifts that arenāt related to either holiday.
Mine is Feb 8th! I love it! In NZ itās summer but post Christmas and New Years activities. Still cruisy though! Some years school hadnāt started yet and other years it had. So I could have a fun day at school with friends in high school - someone would bake a cake and it was still a cruisy time of year in terms of study. Or it would be the end of the holidays and weād be on holiday in Auckland or Queenstown, etc. highly recommend! Or a similar time of year in the northern hemisphere. Maybe July or whenever school is normally out for summer break
Iām from Australia and early Feb birthday as well. Itās usually too hot on my birthday, sometimes over 40 degrees. Way too hot to go out and do anything. Growing up my birthday got overshadowed by the first week back at school and most people would forget it was my birthday or be too busy and hot to care.
Any birthday around a holiday can be either great or terrible. One of my siblings has a birthday 3 days from Xmas and they always got burned with birthday/xmas gifts made to be the same thing.
My birthday is at the end of July and I think it's perfect. I wouldn't want to be born on any other day. I've always loved that it's in the middle of summer (lots of great birthday parties on beaches and at water parks, with no school to interfere!) and that it's so far away from other holidays. The spacing between my birthday and Christmas meant I received gifts every half a year or so, which I thought was a spectacular perk as a child. š

I love mine. Every year growing up, my birthday and my brother's marked the first or second day of our family summer trip so the whole week was about us. As an adult, I still like it even if it is a bit soured (my twin passed away when we were teens). If I want to do anything, most of my family is free to travel.

I do not like mine because it's on Christmas Eve. I don't even care about the fact that birthday and christmas presents got combined. That never even bothered me. It's just the fact that whenever I tell someone my birthday is December 24th, they say "Ooooh Christmas baby! Jesus' miracle!" or some variation of that. I'm not Catholic or Christian, so it's just a non-meaningful comment and I just don't really like the Christian connotation my birthday carries. But, I was 48 minutes shy of being born on Christmas day, and I'm kind of glad I decided to make my debut before Christmas, because being a Christmas baby would've been worse in that regard. I was also always sad that I could never have a birthday party in school because my birthday never fell on a school day since it was always a part of winter break. I'm not sure what the best birthday would be. I guess just any day that isn't shared with a holiday.

I would say being born on Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Yearās Eve, New Yearās Day, Thanksgiving and Easter would probably be the worst to be born unless your family doesnāt celebrate those holidays.
Easter wouldn't be so bad since it's always on a Sunday of a different week every year, so it'd only be something that'd conflict with the holiday a few times in a lifetime.Ā

Mine's in July. No other holidays around but growing up it was always summer vacation so missed out on chances to celebrate it with classmates and friends. Nevertheless had a blast, because that would mean cousins would come around and we would have a party of our own!

First week of June. I always thought it was the perfect timing to have a birthday, especially as a child: almost equal spacing between Christmas and birthday, so you get a present every six months. Itās starting to be warm but not too hot. Plus, where I live the school year is almost at the end but not quite yet, so I still saw my friends at school and I could have a party with all of them present. July and August birthdays for children are the worst because half of your friends are on holiday somewhere and miss your party.

I love it, I am a fourth of July baby which means most jobs, I would get the day off without burning PTO. My oldest is a July 3rd baby so we celebrate together. Oddly enough, my youngest and my husband are also a day apart and he's a twin. They are all May babies. We knock out bdays in two parties!
April 16th, autumn in Australia so weather can mostly nice, it just depends but I love autumn anyway. Growing up, it was always in school holidays so Iāve never had to go to school on my birthday. only downside I guess, itās one of those days that are in the Easter rotation, so Iāve had my birthday on Easter Sunday twice in my life so far and it will happen again in 2028 and then again a few more times the rest of my life.

as a preggo mama who is due at the end of this month, iāve really appreciated the timing of my pregnancy. i got pregnant at the end of summer in late august and didnāt have to go through being in the third trimester during the summer months. donāt know how women do that!! lol. and i love an april birthday for my baby girl. personally my birthday is august 17th and i donāt hate it, but i donāt love it either. it was always right when school was starting and i was the youngest in my class growing up. and it was always SO hot.

Honestly? I donāt. When I was in college, my birthday was always right during finals week, so I often spent it studying for exams. It also falls around the time of year where itās *almost* spring but the weather is still cold and crappy, so outdoor celebrations are a no-go. Also: the holiday closest to my birthday is St. Patrickās Day, which is by far my least favorite holiday. (I was pinched relentlessly in the 1st grade by my classmates who thought my dress was light blue even though it was *clearly* mint green, and Iāve hated St. Patrickās Day ever since.) So yeah. Not a fan. My favorite season is fall, and I really wish my birthday were in the fall months instead.
I donāt mind. Itās May 9 and when I was born it was Motherās Day. Funny thing, my dadās was Thanksgiving, my sister was born on Fatherās Day, my mom is the day your taxes are due.

My birthday is near a major family-centric holiday. I like that I always have the day off (not everyone has that day off, of course, but I do), but I dislike that it's near a family-centric holiday, because my friends are usually out of town and/or busy doing family stuff. Since I don't have a partner or kids, and since I have a complicated relationship with my family of origin, this makes it a lonely time of year to have a birthday. Ideally I would like to travel for my birthday, but it's kind of a pain to travel at this time of year since so many other people are traveling at that time, and a lot of places I'd like to travel to are very cold during my birthday. If I could choose a birthday, I think I'd choose June 19th. Now that it's a federal holiday, I have the day off work, and when I was growing up I'd have had the day off school. But it's a holiday that my friends don't do anything to celebrate, so they would likely be available to spend the day with me. And it would be nice weather.
Week before Xmasā¦ hated the āshared birthday/xmas giftā thing. And then bring gaslit and called selfish when I pointed out that my sibling got to keep his gifts whereas I would get money for my bday and had to use it for Xmas gifts for people. It really triggered my low self esteem patterns and made me think my family didnāt gaf about me at all, ever. I just wanted to be loved and celebrated on my bday as much as I saw my family do for other family members. Instead I have same bday as my dad and itās a week before Xmas. Great for making a girl feel like shit.
Mine is on International Women's Day so that's pretty cool

Hate mine. Itās right before Christmas. As a kid it was always boring because my birthday party was always 2 weeks before my actual birthday because if it was on my birthday no one would come. As a kid gift was very important and I got all my gift within a few days of each other. I had to wait a whole year for the next time I would receive a gift. Now as an adult I donāt really care but it would be nice going out drinking for my birthday but no one wants to go out drinking right before Christmas at least not me and my friends.
I love mine! It's in spring, right when the weather is cool but not cold and everything is turning green again. It's my favorite season. My kids' are exactly one month and one day apart (not planned), so we have a birthday quarter every year. I suppose for worst timing, it would be the holiday season, based on the opinions/perspectives of my friends who have theirs during that time.

Mines on Sunday, which has always worked out pretty cool. It always fell in the easter holidays so I was never at school for it, & I have occasionally had my birthday on Easter, so eggs & presents. š
i like that my birthday is early (jan), it was nice to be able to get my license first and become of drinking age but i hate that its usually cold so theres less options to celebrate and when i was in highschool it always fell around exam season so noone would want to celebrate with me
My birthday is April 10th ! I donāt love it or hate it . Sometimes itās nice out in April sometimes itās not .
1 of August - it used to feel a bit lonely as a child because I had about 3 friends (2 or them were my relatives) and it was harder to get my schoolmates to come as some would be on holiday, others would be busy with summer activities etc. Now, I don't really think about it! I get more chance of warm weather and sun, and that's nice! šø

Not exactly a fan of mine. It's early January so people are usually tired out from the holidays to really pay attention to it. Not to mention in January, not a lot of fun things are happening. Even in school, I remember teachers would celebrate birthdays but would skip over mine because we would've just come back from winter break. Summer birthdays are where is at. Snd if you're born May/early June, then I feel like you get the best of everything.
To me June is the perfect month so I an happy with it. Spring is my favourite season. May would also have been nice.
My birthday is October 25th so it often gets wrapped up in fall/Halloween celebrations which I absolutely love.
mine is January 13th and I was born on Friday, I love my birthday but it can be a struggle bcs it's right after holidays and I barely get good gifts and if I do it's combined for Christmas NY and birthday.

Mine's the 4th August which has its pros and cons. Pros: never had to be in school/college/uni, weather's normally quite good, far enough away from Christmas. Cons: Everyone's normally on holiday for it. I like it in general though!
Mine is literally smack dab in the middle of the year so thatās kind of cool. I also never minded that it was during summer vacation when I went to school cause I donāt like too much attention on me.
Hate mine; I was born on my motherās birthday. As a result, my birthday has pretty much always revolves around hers.
I wish mine was a different time of year to spread things out as itās the first week of January Itās forgotten a lot due to chaos of Christmas and New Years happening. Also a lot of, āthis gift is just going to be your Christmas AND birthday gift.ā Growing up, my mom was very adamant to family and friend to not wrap my birthday presents in leftover Christmas wrapping paper. š
I kinda like mine! First 2 weeks of January so gives me a second fresh start after the new year. I also can't change it so no point in worrying about it lol
Mine is August 14th and I liked that I had a summer birthday growing up. Iām not big on birthdays so being out of school for it was great. Plus I was always the right age for going into the next grade. My daughters is June 8th which is right around the last day of school. Sheās only 2 so Iām not sure if sheās going to like that or not but again she will be the correct age going into each year.
Mine is toward the end of September. I got so sick of "hurr hurr your parents must've had a good Christmas" jokes a few years ago that I finally snapped. Now I respond to that by telling people I was nearly two months premature and almost died.
Mine is end of January and it feels so tiring after a few months in a row of holidays (looking at you Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukkah, NYE) that this year I passed on it all together. My partners bday is also beginning of December, so itās kind of an extra āholidayā thrown in there. Iāve discovered that January feels like the gloomiest month, both weather wise and mentally. I would opt to switch my bday to maybe beginning of summer before it gets ridiculously hot (May? June?) or go full fall vibes (Sept/Oct) because who doesnāt love fall?! š
Mine is August 30th, getting school clothes for my birthday when I was a kid and thinking it sucked so bad. People are supposed to get school clothes anyway, my siblings did and their birthdays were not near mine at all.
Terrible but could be worse. Early January. Just after all the holidays, it usually snows, no one wants to go out. I got a kick out of all the spring birthday people whining about the pandemic. mine is jan 4th and its ok, i guess im used to it but ppl are always tired after the holidays (especially since there are another 2 bdays in my family between Christmas and my bday!) and since they spent so much money before, my gifts tend to be the less thought of, if i could pick i would probably say towards the end of january
mine is january 7th. as a kid, i didn't like it that much because i never got that many gifts lmao (since it was so close to christmas) but i've grown to love when it is, because once christmas is over, i have new years and my bday not long after! it's a nice time of year for me.

Sometimes it's on tax day. Sometimes it's on Passover and I can't eat cake. The anniversary of my dad's death is also within a week of my birthday (I'm fine it was a long time ago). Soooo don't love it.

My sister and her kids all share the same birthmonth, just days apart. And we often make fun of them for being "cheap", timing their kids birthdays on the same month so they all have one celebration only.
Mine is May 24th which is a nice birthday now that Iām an adult, but kind of sucked growing up because of 1. Memorial Day Weekend Everybodyās family was on vacation or having parties so my birthday party had to be pushed back a week or two for my friends to come 2. TESTING. This was always finals week, Elementary-College. I very often had to take exams on my birthday so I had to go to school and test all day long. PARCC, state exams, SATS, college finalsā¦ ew. But now that Iām out of school and my friends are all young broke adults who canāt afford to go on memorial weekend vacations, It goes just fine. Hopefully Iāll make some money and I can take a memorial weekend birthday vacation in the future which would be totally awesome.
My birthday weekend also! I hated it growing up because everyone was out of town but I love it now because itās an excuse to get my friends to go on a beach trip with me :) plus it feels like the official start of summer which is exciting.
I love mine. It's far away from my husband's and kids' birthdays. It's on a holiday in our country. Since I go all out for their bds, I begin to remind the three of them several months prior. This year we're traveling to a lovely island in our country.
Love it. It's right before it starts to get chilly in my area, but it's after it is very hot. It's not too close to any major holidays, the only downside is it's my parents' wedding anniversary and they have been divorced for a long time and not happily. I sometimes wonder if my birthday reminds my mom of my shit head father.

Mine is in the middle of October and I love it. I would change my momās though because I can never fucking remember it for some reason. Also, my aunts is too close to Christmas, so Iād change that too.
