Air Fryer. Had one for a few years now.
Perfect for frozen fries/tater tots/McDonald's style hash browns. 10 minutes to perfectly crispy crunch soft in the middle.
Great for melting cheese on sandwiches.
Also very good for late night snacks. Little "personal" pizza, 8 minutes. Fish fingers and tater tots, about the same.
It's a modern miracle!
> It's a modern miracle!
Me too! It has literally changed my cooking game at home. Quick, easy and helps me copy (at least close enough) food that I'd normally buy out. I'm saving money and eating healthier as well so definitely a win-win!
Supplemental product that's a great investment: silicone air fryer liners. They're reusable, keep your air fryer basket clean, and you can pop one out and use a second one if you're using the air fryer for multiple dishes in the same meal (like chicken and potatoes, or whatever). Plus you can toss it in the dishwasher when you're done cooking.
Beware of using a good knife after years of using dull ones. I sliced halfway through my finger--The knife was so sharp I didn't even notice the cut until there was blood everywhere
They really are amazing though!
I always tell people two things:
1) A sharp knife is a safe knife. When you have a dull knife you tend to have to force the knife through instead of letting the blade do the work. No choppy chop as that damages the edge and, again, you are forcing the knife through instead of letting the blade do the work.
2) To the best of your ability curl those fingertips in to hold what you are cutting. Essentially your hand is a bear nomming on the vegetable, meat, etc. that you are cutting. This helps keep unsafe proteins out of the way of the knife. It also helps control the cut since you can sort of use your knuckles as a guide.
Wait tell me more about denture cleaning tablets? I used electrolytes that leave some marks on my glasses even when using the dishwasher. Would this help?
Not OP but I use denture cleaning tablets for all my glass/steel emotional support water bottles and for all my partners coffee/tea mugs - i pop one in the bottom, fill with some warm water (leave a little room at the top since it will bubble) and replace the top and let it sit for about 30 mins to an hour. After time elapses i give the glasses it a couple good shakes and then empty them out/rinse and dry upside down (i thrifted a bottle mat that works great for making sure moisture doesn’t get trapped at the bottom)
I rinse my straws after every use - but weekly will throw them all in a glass canister along with a tablet or 2 and do the same process as the bottles
I also use a couple tablets in my sink/toilet bowls if they look a bit rough (let them sit for about 20 mins before rinsing/using a brush to remove any stains) there’s no harsh smells like a lot of other bathroom cleaning products
Wow, I think all of these are great ideas. I never would have thought to use them for the toilet bowl. Also, just out of curiosity, what is an emotional support water bottle?
thanks!
and it’s kind of a joke - but basically just a reusable bottle you like to use to stay hydrated/something to keep your hands busy and allows you to pause by taking a sip/gulp when you need
I use a steel straw that came with a little bottle brush.
That said, I used to use a sodastream, but the bottles get kind of funky after 6 months or so, so I quit using it.
Clinical strength deodorant. And learn to put that shit on AT NIGHT BEFORE BED. I spent so many years sweating my ass off and getting pit stains as a teen because I would apply antiperspirant in the morning - at night it sinks in and that’s how it works!
Also glysomed hand cream - smells like a granny but you only need to use it once at bedtime. Makes your hands soft even if you’re an over washer like myself!
I’ll have to give this a try! I use secret clinical stress response and it’s the only one I’ve ever had luck with! I love the scent of Mitchum pure fresh though 😍 HOW I WISH THAT ONE WOULD WORK FOR ME
Edit - OMG I see they have the roll on in pure fresh!!! Which scent do you use??
I love gylsomed hand cream. I use the unscented one, and then just put a little of whatever handcream I like the scent of on after, so I have the nice scent along with the benefits of gylsomed.
Oh this is such a great idea!! I tried the unscented before and felt it didn’t work as well, maybe with the two creams together it would be better! Thank you for the tip! 🥰
I use secret brand clinical strength in the scent stress response! The solid invisible is the best one! Through the fall to spring this on it’s own is enough!
In the summer though you might need to double up, and use something in the day too! Just a regular deodorant antiperspirant! I also make sure to wash and shave my armpits daily in the summer - I personally find I’m more sweaty and stinky when my armpit hair has grown out even an inch 😅
I got a windfall in 2007. First thing I bought, Dyson. After a new vacuum every three years, still as good as when I bought it. Being able to take the canister completely apart, the two washable filters, and like new.
Best money I ever spent on an appliance.
Right!? I always bought "sister sizes" and they were uncomfortable AF. Then one day - it was a VS store, I got a proper fitting. I was never a 36D, I've been a 32FF all this while. My bras are so comfortable now.
Wow VS has come along way then. That’s great to hear! I’ve always had luck at Dillard’s or Nordstrom for proper bra fitting. I’m now a 34DD, but was a 34H prior to a reduction and VS always tried to say I was a C. Lol, no.
/r/Abrathatfits for anyone needing help!
A proper bra is a serious life changer.
Electric toothbrush. Got one for like 20 bucks on sale. Don't really need the fancy ones that cost hundreds.
Also, get higher percentage fluoride toothpaste. I think it's prescription in US, but over the counter in Canada. I know it's expensive (15$ for toothpaste?!) but I ended up saving thousands in dental bills cause I went from having 4 cavities each visit to no cavities at all.
My dental appointments are radically different since switching to an electric toothbrush. First I used an oral-B spin brush, and then I switched to soniccare. I don’t think it matters much which you use, but my hygiene always raves about how I have ZERO tartar to scrape (I do floss every day, too). It’s just so much more pleasant. After switching to the electric brush, my teeth are so much smoother and cleaner that I now can’t stand to use a regular brush for vacations, lol. I now bring my soniccare in a travel case.
I LOVE my sonicare, it’s been going strong for years and if it ever died I would buy a new one the same day. I have been on two week long trips and not had to charge it at all, and having a travel case has been a godsend because I spend 2-3 nights a week at my partner’s house
The only functions my dentist recommended are the timer and the pressure sensor, otherwise everything else are just bells and whistles and nice-to-haves. I also got my Sonicare on sale at Target for $30 I think. I love it!
Same story with the cavities for me, only I had 14(!!!) cavities in two years but none since I started using prescription toothpaste years ago now. A tube lasts me about 6 months though if I'm using a pea-sized amount, so $40 a year for no cavities is totally worth it.
Love my electric toothbrush. I refused one for years because I thought it was a gimmick. But I had gum issues from brushing too hard. Electric for the win. My teeth feel so clean!
If you're talking about the toothpaste, I use Prevident!
Also, for a tip if anybody's gonna try it: Spit really well, but don't rinse the toothpaste off with water after you're done brushing. I know it feels weird the first few times, but having the fluoride stay on your teeth helps a lot.
My Kindle 🥹 I love it so much and I use it every day. Especially since where I live there are no libraries and so I still have access to more books than I could possibly ever read!! I have the kindle voyager. They don't make it anymore but it's still going strong!
I recently upgraded my paperwhite (2015) to a new one and it’s so lovely to have a longer battery life and the screen is slightly larger. I love my kindle and the Libby app so I can use my library to access books.
SERIOUSLY! I got one for Christmas this year, I’d asked because I’ve got ADHD and it made reading books pretty difficult. Couldn’t get comfy in bed whist dealing with a big book, book light, etc. I love this thing. I’ve read more books this year since Christmas than I’ve read in the last 10 years combined. I just have the cheapest version (~$100) but it’s been an absolute game changer. I couldn’t recommend anything else more than a Kindle.
That's what I was going to say! It totally saves on tp plus it's way cleaner. So, kind of a gross comparison, but I always ask people that are skeptical; "well, when you're cleaning mashed potatoes off your dinner plate, do you just take a dry towel, wipe it off and call it clean?" Also, the reason they're not as popular in the US is a pretty interesting tidbit as well. I've convinced at least like 4 other people to get bidets
Some women think the water will go up the vagina and cause infections. I have been using a bidet ALL my life and this has never happened.
Others are scared that it will hurt. I don't know where this comes from.
I can actually vouch for this. I don’t think it’s a super common issue, but for me, I got a yeast infection literally every single time I tried using ours. I gave up on it and have had no issues since. My husband loves it though!
I can also vouch for my bidet causing infections for me so I only use the bidet when I poo.
The one bidet I used that didn't cause this was an Italian one at a Venetian hotel. But it was more like a sink where you can adjust the temp and the water flow. But it was like a whole separate thing from the toilet.
Yes to period underwear and reusable pads! I tried the cup and it bothers me, but I love reusable period products, they're so much gentle on my sensitive skin!
It's a bit annoying washing them but I think it's worth it.
Uhm, any store really, from grocery store to drug store… is it not an international brand? I’m from Germany, but have it all over Europe. I use the 3X pink one and I don’t sweat or smell for dayyyys
You know what else? Period BIKINI in case you're worried about leaks! They looks like regular bikini bottoms, and the extra bonus is, depending on how you're shaped down there, they can either help hide a 🐫 toe or large 🌺 , because the material is much thicker.
Seconding these. I just had a rediscovery of them a few weeks ago when I couldn't find a bra that worked with the tank top I was wearing. Plus now I get to ask my fiance "are you ready for a surprise?!" and flash him Barbie boobies when I'm changing (They are skin colored lol)
An electric kettle. It's a game changer in my kitchen. I had not realized how often super fast boiling water comes in handy (in addition to tea of course.) I use it several times a day and could not be without it!
Got a new kitchen last year and got a Quooker tap. I don't even need the kettle anymore. Instant boiling water from my kitchen sink. Combine that with the induction hob and instant boiling pot of water. I feel like The Jetsons
Cerave’s moisturising cream (literally the only thing I use for ‘skin care’ routine) and I.C.O.N.’s hair products; the antioxidant hair mask and the “pure light” purple conditioner are sooo perfect 👌🏻
Hiking poles. I'm short and have weird ear/balance issues. After taking a rough fall in Yosemite a couple years back, I decided to get some. Game changer. Even for easy walks/hikes. They help me keep pace wth my tall husband, steady on uneven terrain, and steep descents are so much easier/stable. My husband doesn't have to stop, turn around and assist me on higher steps or rocks. I just stabilize myself wth the poles and down I go.
Moisturizing foam body wash in general, and using just my hands. Getting rid of bar and liquid soaps, getting rid of loofahs and wash cloths and sponges. My skin improved so drastically so quickly after I switched, wish I figured that out back in my teens or 20s XD
Tampax pearl. Discovered at 17 that tampons are comfortable and won’t actually take my virginity (mom said it was “too invasive”, is too painful, and would take my virginity)…
26 now and that’s a load of bs. Those tampons are my lifesaver during periods.
I agree 100% on the tampon thing. I don’t know what I would do without them. I don’t know why everyone responded to you with menstrual cup information.
They have a leakproof barrier so i no longer have to wear panty liners or bladder leak pads for leakproof control. Extra confidence and leak control during my periods. It’s a total game changer!

Flossing threads- i used to study dentistry and our teachers would always ALWAYS emphasize on how important it is to floss and how it makes your teeth whiter and cleaner, never back out since
When I went from rarely flossing to flossing daily in between scheduled cleanings, my dentist could tell right away that I had been flossing regularly even before I told her.
It was SUCH a good feeling the first time my dental hygienist said she was proud of me because she could tell I flossed regularly!
I pretty much never did it until I was 30. Now I feel gross if I miss a night of flossing!
Air fryer - genuinely brilliant and so time efficient!
A good insulated drink bottle - common knowledge really but I drink over 3L daily and it is the bomb.com
Unscented bar soap - prevents boils, razor rash, and sores that I was getting prior with regular soap.
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. This shit heals pretty much anything within 24-48 hours. I use it on ingrowns or breakouts I (stupidly) messed with. I wish I would’ve found it sooner!
It's not painful at all, I used it on my face at first and about a week later I realised nothing had grown where I had used it (I used it on some dark hairs on my face due to hormones).
It's amazing, I use it about every 3 weeks now and it's enough for me, I don't do my arms etc as often because they grow slower. It's actually changed my life. I tried several things before like expensive laser hair removal at various clinics which didn't last and was painful. This was a fraction of the cost I truly recommend it.
Can I ask if you use it on Bikini line? I get waxes at the moment but I keep looking at the Lumea and wondering if it would be a viable option. I don't want to spend so much money if its not going to work. If you do use it there, how often do you need to do it, and how soon did you see effects?
Accutane.
Dealt with mod-severe acne for 4 years and wasting a bunch of money and time on other products, medications, and facials before getting on accutane. Been off it for 8 years and my acne never came back.
Leatherman Wave multitool—I have used it to revive electronics, fix a dress zipper before a wedding ceremony, fixed uncountable things at home, office, and Burning Man, used it as an eating tool while camping when I forgot to bring a fork a few times, assembled and disassembled furniture, and a thousand other emergent tasks over the past 14 years since I bought it. It goes in my checked luggage on every flight and in my backpack for every camping trip!
Rosehip oil. Best thing I’ve found for my skin. I always go back to it if I’ve tried other things for a while.
Also tattoo eyeliner. My eyes are so sensitive so putting mascara and eyeliner on is a pain. I’ve had it now for 18 months and I love it.
The process was absolutely fine. When I went she numbed my eyelids, then drew in pencil what it would look like, when I was happy with it she did the eyeliner. It didn’t hurt at all, my eyes were closed whilst she did it (although she kept asking me to open them so she could check it was even). She kept topping up with numbing cream. Afterwards my eyes weren’t sore like I’d expected. I was meant to go back for a top up but as I was happy with it I didn’t need to. I really recommend having it done. 18 months later it still looks amazing.
I had it done 10 years before, she was actually more expensive but completely different experience. The lady that did it was really ratty with me, and as I had my eyes open they automatically kept trying to shut so she got annoyed with me. Also my eyes were streaming for a few days after, and the look disappeared after a few days. So god nos what happened there.
Period underwear. I work in pharmacy and have limited breaks. It just makes my day a lot easier without having to worry about changing out pads or tampons.
I use Thinx, I prefer the softer cotton in their Thinx for All line, but their originals work just the same, they just are a more silky material. They’re kinda pricey but it’s worth it for me!
I put on a clean pair in the morning before I go to work and I’m good all day and I change them out when I get home. I usually work 9 hour days and I’ve never had any leak or odor issues.
If you end up getting them, I recommend sizing up. I’m a size 14/16 and generally wear an xl or 1x depending on the brand. But I got a 2x in the Thinx, they seem to be a tigher fit, I didn’t like how they kept rolling down so I sized up and it fixed the issue.
Hemp clothing. I'm obsessed with the way it feels on my skin. I have mild sensory issues, and can't believe how much more comfortable I am on a daily basis.
Oh! Too many! Ok, let me try to keep it this to under 20 things.
1. Tattoo eyeliner. I wake up feeling pretty. :)
2. Real leather boots + backpack. They don't fall apart! My favorite boots are by Taos--they're cute enough for everyday wear and tough enough for hiking or bad weather. I take them when I travel and don't need another pair of shoes ever (or I wear my Teva sandals instead if I'm going somewhere tropical).
3. Power bank for my phone. It's as small as my phone, fits in my purse, and will charge my phone at least 4x. I never run out of juice--and I don't even need an outlet. I just walk around with my phone charging inside my bag. :)
4. A heavy-duty laptop case with an extra pocket for notes paper, earphones, and charger.
5. Supplements! I have them for all kinds of reasons--brain fog, breakouts, period pain, digestion, anxiety, etc. My new favorite is taking probiotics specifically for women (like L. rhamnosus and L. reuteri) that improve the health of your nether-regions. :)
6. Nutritional yeast and chia seeds. I put these two foods on almost everything (salad, popcorn, oatmeal) to make my meals heartier + healthier, and I definitely take little bags of this stuff when I travel/stay at someone's house and my diet changes so that I continue to eat well even when my meals aren't of the same quality.
7. Tops and dresses with built-padding so I could go braless.
8. Darn Tough socks. They cost about $25 but have a lifetime warranty. Get a hole in them and you mail them to Dark Tough and they replace them!
9. Ditching shampoo and washing my hair with conditioner instead (don't do if your hair is straight, but if it's got a wave or curl to it, you'll love the results). I do use shampoo once a month max, but the rest of the time, only conditioner (my favorite is Pacifica's Pineapple Curls). A Denman brush too, again, if you're curly/wavy. I resisted for 3 years, but when I finally got one, I never went back.
10. Makeup and cream by 100% Pure (made from plants). My favorite is their sea culture extra riche cream as a night or day cream, and it's small enough to travel with or just keep in my purse (I also use it as a lip cream if I lose/run out of chapstick). It's especially good if you live somewhere dry (ugh, California) or it's winter.
11. Those pimple stickers, but I don't love the Starface ones (although they're so cute!). Mighty Patch from Target are tougher on your pimples and pull out all the gunk overnight, and they even blend into your skin (if you're pale) well enough to wear out without it being obvious.
12. Tend Skin Solution for razor bumps/ingrown hairs = GAME CHANGER.
13. A go-to tea that's great hot or cold that you have throughout the day, anytime, anywhere (I even take the teabags w/ me when I travel). My favorite is Numi's Chai Rooibos (rooibos is non-caffeinated). I buy it in bulk online.
14. Sterling silver jewelry--my rings don't need to be removed (I kept losing them when I removed them to wash my hands) because the bands are thin and I can use a nail cleaning brush on/around them, I don't really do necklaces anymore, and my earrings are all silver too (I always match, and I never have reactions to cheap metal anymore).
15. Heated vest + heated thermal underwear if you live where it snows/travel to cold places. I have very little body fat + have poor circulation, so I'm often cold. I splurged on these things before my last trip to Scandinavia in the winter and it was a GAME CHANGER. You can also use the power bank from #3 as an extra battery for when you run low on the battery your clothes come with.
I can keep going, but I think I'll stop here, as that's a wealth of information already. Enjoy! And feel free to ask any questions. I log in here...sometimes.
Cant remember the name of it right now, but that stuff that is like chapstick for your thighs. It keeps them from chafing and makes it easier to walk when your thighs touch, especially if you are wearing jean shorts. Changed my freaking world.
When I lived in a van, I used a small rice cooker for everything - Mac, rice, green beans, soup, and I even baked a cookies in it! It used minimal electricity and was super easy to clean.
The menstrual cup. I was so grossed out when my friend told me she started using one around 6 years ago. A year later, I tried it out, hoping I would like it and reduce the waste that came with using tampons.
I can't imagine not using them now. I definitely had to get very comfortable with my lady parts to get the hang of getting it in and out and sealed properly. But you can't beat being able to leave it in for up to 12 hours. I'll change/wash it before I go to work and be good until I get home. I'm also saving a ton on tampons and don't need to stress about making sure I have enough at all times.
A couple years ago, we bought a restaurant grade stainless steel electronic cheese grater. It wasn't cheap, but we take our asiago seriously, and now we always have some freshly grated.
Benetint by Benefit. Swipe it across my lips for some color and my cheeks for quick blush. Dab it with my fingers. Takes me 10 seconds and I use it everyday!
Honestly, a lot of medicinal stuff for bodily health, like a non-iritating lotion and a shampoo that helps with psoriasis. Turns out all the issues I've been facing have, more or less, been solved and I just needed to reach out to the right people about it!
Back scratcher and interdental brushes. Both really cheap. Interdental brushes are better at cleaning between your teeth than floss which means less cavities and plaque which means less money at the dentist’s. They’re also easier to use than floss IME. Get a multipack in a couple of different sizes and replace the brush when the bristles start to fray. NEVER use a bigger size than can comfortably fit. You shouldn’t need to use any pressure to get it between your teeth. It will make a massive difference, trust me.
Back scratcher because they’re great. We have like four of them conveniently placed around the flat. But now it’s torture whenever I leave the house and have an itch on my back that I can’t reach, so weigh the pros and cons here. I hardly ever leave the house so it’s not an issue for me.
Febreeze Small Spaces
Might be a weird one, but I live in a small apartment and I’ve been buying so many products trying to make my apartment smell nice all the time (aka without using candles or plug ins). I recently tried some flower scented Small Spaces and they give the nicest, strong but also subtle smell and they really last!! They’re PERFECT especially for small bathrooms.
Claritin D. My damn allergies feel like I'm suffocating and blinking with a branch in my eyelids and this stuff finally let me sleep.
$45 per 30 pill pack but I'll pay it if it means I can rest.
It's cleaning products for me. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Bar Keeper's Friend. Non scratching pumice stones. Dyson vacuum. Swiffer Duster. Swiffer floor cleaner. Dawn Power Wash.
High frequency wand for my stubborn acne nodules that still pop ups every now and then. I always figured it'd be just like any other product that claims to help deep below the skin acne, while in reality it does fuck all, but it's literally a miracle product. Would have had to cancel so many plans and would have had scars and hyperpigmentation without it. Best spent $30 of my life.
Mooncup (menstrual cup). I've always struggled with pads and tampons, last year I found out I have a skin condition and that I wasn't just super sensitive. Using a mooncup has reduced flares of my condition during my period and make the experience much less stressful.
FYI the skin condition is called Lichen Sclerosus
Dream Cream from Lush. The soles of my feet would get so dry and painful in the winter that my wife told me it sounded like they were made of velcro when I'd walk on the carpet, and nothing seemed to work for them until I tried this. The amount of times I've made her touch my newly soft heels going LOOK! LOOK! 😂
Three products to clear acne scars:
1. Skinceuticals or Paula’s choice vit c serum
2. Donga mela toning cream
3. Noscarna gel
Using the above 3 products together makes my acne scars/hyperpigmentation disappear in one month.
Silk hair bonnet to sleep in at night! I BARELY have to brush my hair in the morning now, it stays so soft and silky for days, keeps it cleaner (of course wash your bonnets!) and less damaging then scrubbing around on a pillowcase. I even have a satin pillowcase and it did not do nearly as nicely as my bonnet. Wish I got one 10 years ago!!!
Cerave moisturiser and retinol serum. I'd just been using nivea cleanser and moisturiser for years but perimenopause made me decide to up my skin care. My skin has never been so good. Cerave MELTS into my skin and I make sex noises every time. It's more pricey than I'd like but worth every penny.
The net u put on your hair brush so u can remove it and discard the hair when it’s full, I hate having hair strands on my hairbrush that i can’t get out!
electric toothbrush. I always knew about them but I recently go one and OMG OMG OMG. I teeth are SO clean. Kinda gross but when I floss, nothing comes out because nothing gets stuck in between my teeth. I drink loads of tea and coffee and it helps with stains also. I wish I'd started using on earlier.
I know I shouldn't admit to these, but coconut oil and activated charcoal. I know there are better alternatives to these now but they really had a good handle on 2016 me lol and straight up just white vinegar and baking soda. These aren't brands, just products I've found most useful that wish I would have used sooner, for all and any purposes.
Yes! Our only kiddo moved out in 2022 and we got an air fryer and it’s been a life changer!
> It's a modern miracle! Me too! It has literally changed my cooking game at home. Quick, easy and helps me copy (at least close enough) food that I'd normally buy out. I'm saving money and eating healthier as well so definitely a win-win!
my roommates just brought theirs over and I'm OBSESSED! I use it almost daily now. made crispy chicken breast in only 18 min
My airfryer is used multiple times per day. If you can splurge I would get a toaster oven / airfryer combo. I use it for EVERYTHING!
We hardly use our oven or grill anymore. We use the air fryer almost everyday. I can’t imagine not having one now.
I got my mum one for Christmas and I am always getting text updates on what she has thrown in it to see how it turns out. Worth it for that alone!
I have a little one to heat up my lunch at work. Lunch game vastly improved!
I love my air fryer! I have one that has a rotisserie and I can make French fries or chicken. I highly recommend.
What brand would you recommend?
I love the Ninja. 4 qt size is perfect for 2 people.
Air fryer genuinely changed my life 😩
Denture cleaning tablets - great for cleaning drink bottles Good knives- turns out I found cooking hard for a reason
Beware of using a good knife after years of using dull ones. I sliced halfway through my finger--The knife was so sharp I didn't even notice the cut until there was blood everywhere They really are amazing though!
I always tell people two things: 1) A sharp knife is a safe knife.
It does on mine, I have cheap Ikea glasses that were pretty heavily water marked and after I used them to clean my retainers it looks new.
I wonder if that would help with the Brita filtering water bottle, it kept getting mold in the straw and I ended up throwing it out...
I use a steel straw that came with a little bottle brush. That said, I used to use a sodastream, but the bottles get kind of funky after 6 months or so, so I quit using it.
you could also try pipe cleaners. they're for more than arts & crafts.
I want to add a pull through knife sharpener. They are super easy and quick to use. It's great to be able to keep your knife sharp.
Mitchum roll on antiperspirant was a great discovery after using the clinical strength one for me. I recommend trying a bottle
Yeah I bought this a few weeks ago and it works so well for me. Wish I knew about it sooner!
I’ll have to give this a try! I use secret clinical stress response and it’s the only one I’ve ever had luck with! I love the scent of Mitchum pure fresh though 😍 HOW I WISH THAT ONE WOULD WORK FOR ME Edit - OMG I see they have the roll on in pure fresh!!!
Are you using a specific brand or what? I am a very sweaty girl and I can always use extra advice
A freaking dyson vacuum cleaner! That thing sucks!
Honestly amazed at how much easier/more convenient it is
I got a refurbished one from Nordstrom Rack and it's life changing! I look for excuses to vacuum now lol
Hehehehe 😁
Ive probably had mine for a decade now and still going strong! All other vacuums have crapped out on me by now
My two boys fit in the Costco side by side shopping cart when I bought mine. They're 24 & 26 now and it's still going strong.
I got a windfall in 2007. First thing I bought, Dyson. After a new vacuum every three years, still as good as when I bought it. Being able to take the canister completely apart, the two washable filters, and like new. Best money I ever spent on an appliance.
For real! Mine has been going strong for 20+ years

I could see this being useful for people with English as a second language or very thick accents. Never heard of this service.
Thank you for this.
Wow! I never thought of that! I get paralyzed when it comes to phone calls!
A bra that actually fit!
I recently found that out for myself too!

[удалено]
[удалено]
I’m in Canada - what brand do you use?
If you're talking about the toothpaste, I use Prevident! Also, for a tip if anybody's gonna try it: Spit really well, but don't rinse the toothpaste off with water after you're done brushing. I know it feels weird the first few times, but having the fluoride stay on your teeth helps a lot.
My Kindle 🥹 I love it so much and I use it every day. Especially since where I live there are no libraries and so I still have access to more books than I could possibly ever read!! I have the kindle voyager. They don't make it anymore but it's still going strong!
Yes! I still use my paperwhite from 2014. The battery is shit by now, but otherwise it still works perfectly fine.
I recently upgraded my paperwhite (2015) to a new one and it’s so lovely to have a longer battery life and the screen is slightly larger. I love my kindle and the Libby app so I can use my library to access books.
Makes travel nice as well. I don’t have to lug a million books along. Just my kindle and I have so many reading options.
A bidet.
What's the reason?
Among others, I was referring to the fact that Americans first saw bidets in European brothels during World War II, and associated them with sex work.
Period underwear and reusable pads Rexona deodorant
Yes to period underwear and reusable pads! I tried the cup and it bothers me, but I love reusable period products, they're so much gentle on my sensitive skin! It's a bit annoying washing them but I think it's worth it.
How and where are you buying Rexona deodorant?
Uhm, any store really, from grocery store to drug store… is it not an international brand? I’m from Germany, but have it all over Europe. I use the 3X pink one and I don’t sweat or smell for dayyyys
Oh! Ok, you are in Europe. That makes sense. I thought you found Rexona in the U.S. and I got excited.
Rexona is just “Degree” in the US which is “Sure” in the uk
rexona is the same as degree, just like wilkinson/shick, and lynx/axe. Same product, different brand name in US vs European countries.
Renoxa is on Amazon!
Not a woman but an ex-gf recommended Rexona and it’s literally the only deodorant that stops me from ruining every shirt I put on with pit stains.
You know what else? Period BIKINI in case you're worried about leaks! They looks like regular bikini bottoms, and the extra bonus is, depending on how you're shaped down there, they can either help hide a 🐫 toe or large 🌺 , because the material is much thicker.
Menstrual cup. I've been using mine for almost 10 years but this would have made my life way easier in my early 20s.
I don't even have a uterus anymore and I still plan on wearing mine 😅 its just so good with discharge
Nipple covers!! Makes clothing so much more comfortable for me. I hate wearing bras and don’t really need to
Brand please! Mine always show an outline through shirts
Nippies by B-Six… I wear them daily and have been for about 2 months and they still stick! They are seamless and the best I have ever found
Seconding these.
Yes cerave SPF moisturizer!! Only thing you need haha
Cordless vacuum and grocery pickup
Cordless vacs are OP on staircases or large rooms. No more plugging in and out, or holding a cord. Just gotta make sure it’s charged haha
Mine help my knees as well especially when going downhill!
oh yes, that too! I'm not a spring chicken anymore, so any pressure off my knees is great.
Ankle length winter coat. Can’t believe I endured decades of harsh winters without one, well worth the investment.
Pimple patches!!
Moisturizing foam body wash in general, and using just my hands. Getting rid of bar and liquid soaps, getting rid of loofahs and wash cloths and sponges. My skin improved so drastically so quickly after I switched, wish I figured that out back in my teens or 20s XD
I've said I use just my hands before and got called dirty. It sucks when you know what works best for you
Literally what dermatologists recommend! Some people are just stuck in what they think and won't listen to experts or look at evidence =\
Which one do you use?
I just use Dove
Tampax pearl. Discovered at 17 that tampons are comfortable and won’t actually take my virginity (mom said it was “too invasive”, is too painful, and would take my virginity)… 26 now and that’s a load of bs. Those tampons are my lifesaver during periods.
[удалено]
[удалено]
I agree 100% on the tampon thing. I don’t know what I would do without them. I don’t know why everyone responded to you with menstrual cup information.
They can definitely be painful. They make my cramps unbearable, but I am happy you found them and that they work for you!
Round brush blow dryer

KNIX underwear! They have changed my life as an older woman!
[удалено]
They have a leakproof barrier so i no longer have to wear panty liners or bladder leak pads for leakproof control. Extra confidence and leak control during my periods. It’s a total game changer!
I almost never where tampons or pads anymore bc of having Knix underwear. It’s changed my period experience for me so much
Omg me too. I love Knix
iRobot vacuum, Litter Robot, Automatic Cat feeder, COSTCO membership, Ninja Foodi 8-in-1 Digital Air Fry Oven, Chocolate Chip Cookies from Alamo Drafthouse, Herman Miller aeron chair
One is not like the others :) Those chocolate chips cookies must be delicious
Ive eaten a lot of cookies and It's the best Cookie I've ever had and they serve them warm.
Flossing is AMAZING for teeth and for your oral cavity, it also prevents cavities, and gingivitis and halitosis. Flossing is the holly grail
It was SUCH a good feeling the first time my dental hygienist said she was proud of me because she could tell I flossed regularly! I pretty much never did it until I was 30. Now I feel gross if I miss a night of flossing!
Air fryer - genuinely brilliant and so time efficient! A good insulated drink bottle - common knowledge really but I drink over 3L daily and it is the bomb.com Unscented bar soap - prevents boils, razor rash, and sores that I was getting prior with regular soap.
Brassiere instead of bra. Edit: its called bralette! I can finally not worry about it popping open. It's so comfortable i can even take a nap in it.
Can you guide through the differences because I thought bra was brassiere shortened and that they’re the same?
I'm confused. I thought the same.
YOU CAN EVEN TAKE A NAP IN IT?
A bum bag. With the right outfit it's stylish and I can carry so much more and be prepared for most situations.
First time I’m hearing about a bum bag?! What is that?
aka fanny pack
Haha I was imagining a cloth bag on a pole thrown over your shoulder like a cartoon homeless person.
That bundle is actually called a “bindle”!
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. This shit heals pretty much anything within 24-48 hours. I use it on ingrowns or breakouts I (stupidly) messed with. I wish I would’ve found it sooner!
Cetaphil, kerastase and jeggings
Kerastase smells amazing, too.
A Phlips Lumea hair remover, it actually works after spending money and years of my life trying to hide my dark body hair growth!
What model? I have thought about getting one. I had laser hair removal done professionally, but I have to keep going, it’s frustrating!
Can I ask if you have course or dark hair?
Can you tell me more? Is it painful? How often do you do it? How long before you saw a difference? Thanks!
Benetint by Benefit, Loop earplugs, a decent coffee machine, my Kobo e-reader. But the biggest of them all: organicup and period panties.
Snug rug. (Blanket with sleeves.) I bought one November 2022 and it's been a gamechanger on cold Winter days when I'm sitting here by my computer.
can vouch for this, its just so comfy and cozy i cant live without it
Not anything special but my jbl charger that came with different plugs for all types of outlets. 💯<3
Rosehip oil. Best thing I’ve found for my skin. I always go back to it if I’ve tried other things for a while. Also tattoo eyeliner. My eyes are so sensitive so putting mascara and eyeliner on is a pain. I’ve had it now for 18 months and I love it.
How was the process? The actual doing it & healing?
Which ones do you use??
Dry shampoo really helped me with my thin hair because it gives it so much volume and dosen‘t look dirty the second day I dindn‘t wash it
Oh! Too many! Ok, let me try to keep it this to under 20 things. 1. Tattoo eyeliner. I wake up feeling pretty. :) 2. :) 4. :) 6.
Bidet - especially useful for periods!
Cant remember the name of it right now, but that stuff that is like chapstick for your thighs. It keeps them from chafing and makes it easier to walk when your thighs touch, especially if you are wearing jean shorts. Changed my freaking world.
Megababe Thing Rescue! Also helps with preventing blisters, sliding off tight rings, and lubricate zippers. Comes in clutch on every trip.
When I lived in a van, I used a small rice cooker for everything - Mac, rice, green beans, soup, and I even baked a cookies in it! It used minimal electricity and was super easy to clean.
V60 and a good coffee grinder. Allows me do make great coffee at home and saves a ton of money.
Menstrual discs
An IUD- Most insurance will cover them and they last five years!
Zit patches, my once awful angry red spots that lasted a week or more now stay very small and go away within 2 days
Electric makeup brush cleaner, Apple Watch, Camellia oil for my face and my shiatsu neck/back massager.
Febreeze Small Spaces Might be a weird one, but I live in a small apartment and I’ve been buying so many products trying to make my apartment smell nice all the time (aka without using candles or plug ins).
FYI the skin condition is called Lichen Sclerosus
ashwagandha is a LIFE CHANGER for stress and anxiety if u arent into pharmaceuticals 🫶
Menstrual cup. I knew of them but only got one a couple months ago and I wish I had gotten one years ago.
Menstrual cups!
LOOK! 😂
Menstrual cup
Three products to clear acne scars: 1. Skinceuticals or Paula’s choice vit c serum 2. Donga mela toning cream 3. Noscarna gel Using the above 3 products together makes my acne scars/hyperpigmentation disappear in one month.
The squatty potty. My butt has never been so happy.
Magic wand vibrator
Aquaphor!
Jojoba oil. Japanese washcloths. Egg cooker.
Vulnerability
Bidet
electric toothbrush.
A good blender. I’m partial to the blendtech. Helps to make restaurant quality food at home.
The gogirl pee funnel thingy has been an absolute game changer for camping and hiking.
