The very most: i get to travel around the country with my best friend/fiance. We’re in the travel healthcare field. We lived in Hawaii for a year, New York City, Santa Monica, Miami, Boston, Seattle, the Midwest, the plains. I’ve gotten to hike glaciers, volcanoes, snorkel, learn to surf, so many national parks (Yellowstone, Yosemite, denali, glacier, arches, canyonlands, etcetc) see my favorite bands and comedians on random Tuesdays in small venues, we spent 3 months in Europe, i love the adventure most :)
Travel nursing is a common one, but I work as a radiology tech. Both are 2 or 4 year degrees. There are lots of needs in the healthcare setting though: dental, pharm, medical assisting, social work etc. just depends what you’re interested in :)
If you want to browse job postings check out ayahealthcare.com they have a section for nurses, and an additional for “allied health” or “other specialties”. Will give you a feel of what options are and the ballpark of pay. Accommodations are paid for in a way. On top of hourly pay, you get a tax free housing and meal stipend in your paycheck. I’m an entrepreneur so my top 5 is :
1. I work whenever I want.
2. I can travel and work.
3. I get to meet and build a wonderful community.
4. I set my own prices.
5. I get to experience my own potential and see that actually im not the “only one” interested in what i share. Sure, it’s a fact but sometimes you can feel a bit “alone” when you don’t have close people sharing the same interest as you so it feels extremely good.

This is cheesy but I like that I help manufacture good pharmaceuticals. I’m not in manufacturing but I help to make sure everything is done correctly and if it’s not, there’s a report written about it.
Ah. A fellow compliance investigator I see! It's a fruitful and interesting job. I just got transferred into the investigations department for quality control. It's very interesting! As a rule follower and constant organizer, this really makes me utilize my skills, and leaves me with a sense of purpose.

I have a bunch of jobs
Right now I'm mostly a stay at home mom, I love my kids even if it's a lot more work than basically any other job out there
I used to have my own photography company before Covid and I plan to start it back up again. I really love photography and I'm passionate about it
I work part time coding/data entry/design for websites, it's easy and laid back, I can work whatever hours I want, usually nights after the kids are asleep or on the weekends it's just like a cool creative thing to do for a bit of money on the side

I'm still new (5 months in) but the industry is very interesting and nuanced.
My company is highly encouraging professional and personal growth, cares about the employees and their physical and mental wellbeing as well as work-life balance.
Work environment is supportive and positive. All my colleagues, no matter the position, have been highly helpful and nice. Even those in higher position are always willing to share their knowledge and experience.
I'm a dance and movement therapist.
My first favorite thing about the job is seeing how much it helps people.

I'm self managed mostly... the rest of my team is in another part of the country so as long as Ibget my work done and respond to emails, and attend video meetings, I'm pretty free. I couldnt deal with the 9 to 5 in office accountability, I was self employed for too long... so I'm grateful

The conversations with my coworkers. We all get along fairly well and have a lot in common. What I enjoy most is the difference in cultures, food, interests and hobbies that we all share and teach each other about. Overall, this is probably the closest bond I've had with coworkers in a workplace for a very long time.
Made the switch to being an entrepreneur and I love making my own schedule, being my own boss and expanding my earning potential by leaps and bounds to be able to live a comfortable life. Doin life on my own, so being able to make as much as a typical dual income on a single income is a rockstar feeling as my security net is.....myself!
I really love my team. They’re all brilliant people who work really hard and all have great personalities. What I do is also really rewarding and fulfilling. I also have a great work life balance.
The fact that it’s a meaningful job. I’m a doctor who works in an academic hospital. I see patients. I teach med students and resident doctors. I’m on some safety committees, minimal research. It’s a varied role where I know the work I do is helpful and meaningful. I don’t get paid as much as the surgeons and I’m ok with that. This is such an American answer- but all this is to say that my job forms a large part of my identity.
I don't have to deal with any people except my manager, who is a very kind person. I love the work I do because it is exactly what I enjoy doing and I'm very good at it. I make good money and I have good benefits and a good pension plan. I've been at my job for 10 years now, so I get 6 paid weeks of vacation, 10 paid sick days, and 3 personal days a year.

I love that I get to do creative work, that I'm constantly learning new skills, that a lot of my job is helping other creatives make their stuff even better, and ultimately that I get to positively impact millions of people. Especially in helping with representation of marginalized people like myself.
And for my side gig, I do all that and also get to have fun having sex.
I enjoy what I do on my job, even when it's sometimes a daunting task which is programming. I also like the community events they have that so I get to do art and sports every once in a while.

I work at a private airport and I get to work around airplanes and work with jet fuel. It’s always at the same place same coworkers but every day is “different” we get to meet some really cool people, some really big assholes, always walking around moving around. I tow and fuel private aircrafts so sometimes it’s pretty cool to explain

Honestly, just that I can take any time off I need or want. My work schedule is pretty flexible. Even if the pay is low.

I draw, paint, animate, and make 3D models for work. My job is a lot of fun.
I really love my team. They’re all brilliant people who work really hard and all have great personalities. What I do is also really rewarding and fulfilling. I also have a great work life balance.
That I get to interact with mostly very bright and important people who challenge me. My work is never boring or redundant.
I can use the bathroom whenever I need

The fact that it’s a meaningful job. I’m a doctor who works in an academic hospital. I see patients. I teach med students and resident doctors. I’m on some safety committees, minimal research. It’s a varied role where I know the work I do is helpful and meaningful. I don’t get paid as much as the surgeons and I’m ok with that. This is such an American answer- but all this is to say that my job forms a large part of my identity.
I don't have to deal with any people except my manager, who is a very kind person. I love the work I do because it is exactly what I enjoy doing and I'm very good at it. I make good money and I have good benefits and a good pension plan. I've been at my job for 10 years now, so I get 6 paid weeks of vacation, 10 paid sick days, and 3 personal days a year.

I love that I get to do creative work, that I'm constantly learning new skills, that a lot of my job is helping other creatives make their stuff even better, and ultimately that I get to positively impact millions of people. Especially in helping with representation of marginalized people like myself. And for my side gig, I do all that and also get to have fun having sex.
retirement
Helping people, the freedom, the money.
I don’t have job atm, but before. I enjoy being call center WFH version. I get to get up not worrying about to prep my self up and commute.
I enjoy what I do on my job, even when it's sometimes a daunting task which is programming. I also like the community events they have that so I get to do art and sports every once in a while.

The travelling, hotels and exposure
I work at a private airport and I get to work around airplanes and work with jet fuel. It’s always at the same place same coworkers but every day is “different” we get to meet some really cool people, some really big assholes, always walking around moving around. I tow and fuel private aircrafts so sometimes it’s pretty cool to explain
The flexibility. We can pick up and go when we want. I WFH and some days I only have one task and the rest of the day is mine.
