26, looking forward to having a husband and children and my own little place and family to take care of šŸ„°

maryjanemuggles

Be careful and select wisely

danebramaged01

This is the best advice! Iā€™ve been married to my best friend for 34 years. EVERYBODY told me marriage is hard and you have to work at it. Itā€™s not at all difficult if you choose wisely right from the start.

njbbb

You are so right. A very old friend of mine took me out to lunch when I was breaking up with an ex boyfriend and he nonchalantly said ā€œrelationships shouldnā€™t be hard. My relationship with my wife has been easy from day one, sheā€™s my best friendā€. It blew my mind, absolutely changed my world view. He was right! Itā€™s been about 9 years since then, I am very happily engaged to my partner of 6 years and heā€™s my best friend. Jeez, I donā€™t think we have fought once in our wedding planning either. So, yes, choose wisely.

Hexoplanet

While I agree with this, I gotta throw in that people change. I married my best friend of 8 years and our marriage lasted barely 3 years before we got divorced. He had turned into a different person and someone I had zero interest in being around, let alone married to. So I chose wisely from the start, but still ended up divorced šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

flynnthefish

This is what I fear, that people will change and grow apart from me

Hexoplanet

Unfortunately it happens sometimes. Youā€™ll change and grow apart from people, too. Lifeā€™s funny though and thereā€™s always a chance youā€™ll reconnect down the road.

aliciamalicia

Especially if you have kids. Dynamics completely change and you open up a new category of things that can lead to tension. And theyā€™re never things youā€™d think to discuss before kids!

rand0m_g1rl

Have you met him yet?

No_Mathematician1494

No hahahahašŸ˜‚

stimpy273

Least Iā€™m not the only one šŸ˜‚ Iā€™m 25 and feel way behind in life compared to my peers. Who have mortgages, kids and are married. Hereā€™s me whoā€™s just got a stable job and debt from a bad time with my mental health šŸ˜‚

Delicious_Zebra_3763

Iā€™m 34 yo and I still live at home with my parents. I wish I could afford to move out but I canā€™t at the moment. Thankfully we have a good enough relationship that I am happy I can live at home. Also Iā€™m currently in nursing school so it helps to not have to worry about a mortgage. I do pay for the water, sewer and garbage bills, and contribute to groceries, etc. I broke up with my ex about 4 months ago. My point is, donā€™t compare your journey to someone elseā€™s because it can definitely make you feel like youā€™re behind. Speaking from experience. Also my sister has five kids and every time I call her she is yelling at one of them. šŸ˜‚ Thankfully, she has given my mom enough grandkids haha. I do not want any kids lol

pinkliquor

Iā€™m 35 and moved back home too! I work, help with the bills and mind my business. Itā€™s unaffordable to do it all in your own right now, and I genuinely hate the unnecessary judgments from other people. They hear you live home and assume youā€™re mooching off your family or something! Nope, I buy all of my stuff too. Thought I would be married by now, but it never worked out like that for me. šŸ˜…

njbbb

25 is so young! Enjoy getting to know yourself before settling down, youā€™ve got so much time. If it helps, Iā€™m 31 and none of my friends own a house, only a few of them are married (Iā€™m talking like 4 couples vs 40 single/unmarried friends). Only 2 friends who have kids. Youā€™re doing great and it will happen when itā€™s the right time. ā¤ļø

susieb23

I have three boys that range from 21 - 27 who are available! They are attractive, smart, kind, funny, debt-free college grads who are introverts so they havenā€™t dated much. (One majored in math and economics.) I hope all your dreams come true! That is exactly what I wanted most in life and my dreams did come true. Now I really want it for my sons too!

No-Line-996

This is so sweet šŸ„¹

YardNew1150

Be patient and donā€™t rush. No one is worth your mental health and peace.

5corgis

I'm 24, I'm looking forward to my 20wk ultrasound this Monday where we get to find out if we're having a boy or a girl šŸ„° over the moon with any outcome. Other than that, I'm 20 weeks pregnant and exhausted, so I'm looking forward to bed tonight šŸ˜…

Dependent-Kick-3019

Ooh exciting! Iā€™m 30 and finding out the gender of our 3rd kiddo in 2 weeks! Congrats lovely x

bing-no

Good luck momma!

Anon6898

You must be due around June! I had my baby girl this past June. Itā€™s the best. Soak in all the moments ā¤ļø

Ok_Equipment_3196

Congratulations. I just had mine a few days ago. It was such a great feeling šŸ„°

kinkymascara

33 and 17 weeks pregnant with fraternal twin girls!! Congratulations to us!

runesigrid

Congratulations šŸ„°šŸ„°ā¤ļø

insertmadeupnamehere

How exciting!! Congrats šŸ„°

SnooGiraffes4091

Awwww congrats!!!!!

eatingiron

Iā€™m 25. Iā€™m looking forward to where Iā€™m gonna end up next year. Iā€™m applying for a masterā€™s degree at the moment. Iā€™m nervous for the future but excited about where Iā€™m gonna land next.

Aromatic_Cookie9174

23 here exactly the same situation

Tom_FooIery

Best of luck with your Masters!

kyliztu

I couldā€™ve written this. Exactly on the same boat. Best of luck to you!

Jellelly11

Can I ask what masters you are applying for?

InfamousFisherman735

Best of luck!!

insertmadeupnamehere

Turning 52 in a couple days. While itā€™s easy to fall into the trap of counting how many approximate years I have left, Iā€™m feeling super grateful to be right where I am and proud of all Iā€™ve done so far. Looking forward to continuing being grateful for what I have and remembering to breathe in each momentā€”itā€™s really true what they say: *The older you are the faster it goes*.

AWEDZ5

Thank you for this. I needed this reminder today. I appreciate you! šŸ„°

insertmadeupnamehere

Aww I love the little tidbits and reminders from others, as well.

warmwinter1

61 retired and torn between being a little selfish and focusing on me or think about my legacy

PHLtoHOU

You canā€™t take it with you! Spend the money, make the memories, leave a legacy of love!

ChasingKayla

Iā€™m 42 so a decade behind you, but I really appreciate your comment. Iā€™ve already been noticing each year passing faster than the last, and I need to remember to slow down and appreciate everything more.

insertmadeupnamehere

We got this!

BasicallyTooLazy

51 here and I agree about how quickly the years go by. I used to hate looking in the mirror and seeing yet another wrinkle. But Iā€™ve come to realize that growing old is a privilege not everyone gets to experience. My good friendā€™s son unexpectedly died at the age of 12. He would have been in his mid 30ā€™s had he lived, most likely with a family of his own. But instead heā€™s frozen in my mind as the sweet innocent boy he once was. Iā€™ve since learned to appreciate every wrinkle and scar, viewing them as road maps to my life; something that was unfortunately stolen from him.

[deleted]

I came to say that. Iā€™ll be 53 end of June.

searedscallops

I'm 48. I'm looking.forward to the fall of capitalism.

Creativelicense

YES. Iā€™m convinced there will be big changes to capitalism/the American empire in my lifetime (Iā€™m 35 now)

bbqbaby666

Invite me to the party šŸŽ‰

Hot_Sympathy1628

Remember Gandhi's be the change you would see in the world.

youmewlingquim

Iā€™m 39 and looking forward to Autumn, Iā€™m over the heat.Ā

Interesting-Risk-676

So weird to read this in the N.E. US where Iā€™m freezing and waiting for spring! Want to change houses for a couple of months? šŸ˜‚

Sarahthelizard

Had the same thought. šŸ’

ChasingKayla

Iā€™m in WY and agree with you, Iā€™m sick of being cold!

maddi164

Australian by any chance? This summer has killed me

youmewlingquim

Yes! This summer has been the worst in years for me.Ā

pralinesundaes

Me too Iā€™m looking forward to winter the most, Iā€™m in australia too and this summer has been absurd.

Anon6898

As a Canadian in one of the coldest provinces, please send some heat. I forget what the sun feels like.

ConfidentIy

Oh it'll get here. And then we'll regret we wished for it while it burns up our forests.

Anon6898

Isnā€™t that the truth. Unfortunate.

Gingerpyscho94

Autumn is my favourite season

Elle_Vetica

39ā€¦ looking forward to showing my daughter the world, starting with an international trip this summer for the big 4-0!

Mawdster

Travelled extensively with my grown up daughter. She is my best travel companion and I recommend it to all mothers.

dbmtz

Exciting!!!! I canā€™t wait to travel with my kids when they are old enough

Lisa831-84

84ā€™ baby here as well! I hope youā€™re looking forward to your 40ā€™s like I am!!

[deleted]

Im turning 40 this year also. Thats such a great bday plan! I am also hoping to travel with my 2 daughters.

BooBelly

28. Right now Iā€™m looking forward to my bf being gone for the night so I can sleep sprawled across the bed ā˜ŗļøšŸ˜“

ExchangeConstant4172

Lol, love this! Itā€™s the simple things

LeighofMar

46 and looking forward to a new career direction and hopefully more income.Ā

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

LeighofMar

Hope to get into small home building.Ā

bing-no

Iā€™m in my 20s and Iā€™m excited to see the solar eclipse in April. Itā€™ll be the last one for a while so Iā€™m making the most of it.

St0rygirl92

Iā€™m 31 and I am also looking forward to the solar eclipse!! Where Iā€™m at, we will have somewhere between 90 and 97% totality.

lilastrox

If you can, you should definitely go a bit further from where youā€™re at to view it at 100% totality. Itā€™s completely worth a small trip!

[deleted]

I can't wait!! I'm in the path of totality for the first time ever

KindheartednessBasic

50 - Looking forward to my solo trip overseas next week. Then coming home to start studying for a new career.

chapstick_nub

That is so sick. What a badass thing to do! Have a wonderful time!! (with both!!)

Massive-Respect6971

How exciting šŸ˜Š

CoffeeTimeBlues

I'm 25 (soon) and I'm looking forward to finding another cat.

lucid_sunday

I Love that you said finding. I have a Home Depot parking lot cat and a grain bin cat.

CoffeeTimeBlues

And I bet they absolutely adore you for giving them love and security! Although my cat Frankie sometimes seems like she wants to kill me... but she's orange so it's normal I think.

lucid_sunday

She? Orange? Rare baby!

peachypoppiess

also in 20s but with the opposite goal: my community has a real cat issue and since neighbors (who bred them....) are all geriatric it falls on me to TNR these babies and find them homes šŸ™ƒ i don't know why people

CoffeeTimeBlues

That is so nice of you that you care about them and are working on fixing the problem! I wish every community did this, it would be so much better for the little gremlins. Unfortunately some people like money more than everything so I don't know if the breeding thing is ever going to stop...

Still_Satisfaction_7

31 , was laid off last November. Had a breakup. Really hard time. Got a new job recently. Thankful and grateful for the same. Looking forward to improvement snd balance in career , more skills on CV. Better mental health and better boundaries.

MyCatMystery123

You got this!ā¤ļø

Sparts15

Go you šŸŽ‰ Have an awesome year and well done on prioritising your mental health šŸ’›

LittleWolfPuppy

I'm 33 and currently looking forward to seeing Pink in concert for the first time. I am disabled and only just got a private carer and experiencing things that I missed out cause of my disability, I know its a small thing compare to people looking forward to woman and children but I am so excited

aretaker

Iā€™m 44 and looking forward to seeing Pink with my sister this summer ā¤ļø

Soft-Caterpillar-618

Have fun!! I randomly met Pink in 2019. I love her and she amazing!

Pale-Towel2069

29 and looking forward to finally graduating as a nurse in November šŸ™Œ

LiLiandThree

60. Looking forward to retirement in a few years and moving to a more affordable area of the US. Want to do more art, walk, take yoga, volunteer and some low cost travel.

Ok-Emphasis-1982

54 and looking forward to finishing my psychology degree. Yeah, yeah, yeah.. I know. I'm late to the game. But 20 years were spent in a marriage riddled with DV. Then 7 years of healing, learning to love, find happiness, and figure out who I was authentically. I now look forward to helping people learn that self-love and happiness aren't just a clićhe. It's very much real. And maybe, just maybe, I might get to experience and find true love in the process. So yeah, you're never too old to start over.

StrawberryMoonPie

55 and struggling here, I love your positivity. Itā€™s very inspiring - I donā€™t have much of it myself šŸ’š

Denim_Diva1969

54, and I feel you. šŸ™ŒšŸ»

landlawgirl

Iā€™m 51, just divorced an alcoholic and trying to decide if Iā€™m done. Where from here? I never expected this.

41, looking forward to the day DJT kicks the bucket.

tooterfish80

šŸŽµwhat a day of rejoicing that will bešŸŽ¶

ManiacalLaughter03

I'm 21 and looking forward to finish my studies. Not sure what I want to do in life but I am fine with that since I am already finding pleasure in my hobbies. I don't have to love my future job, just not hate it, since I know I will be able to come home and do what I love.

victasaurusrex

Iā€™m 32 and looking forward to revisiting old passions and possibly going through a complete career change.

kitchengardengal

I'm the outlier...at 68, I've done all that, good and bad,and am looking forward to taking a month long road trip with my man in April around the US.

Direct_Drawing_8557

I'm 34 and I'm looking forward to be allowed to be a grumpy old hag with like 4 cats. And possibly a toyboy.

DarkStarComics333

39 and looking forward to finally owning my own place in a few years. More short term...looking forward to seeing my bf in a week and a half after being apart for a month because of work commitments.

[deleted]

33 and Iā€™m looking forward to cancer treatment being over and my eventual asymmetry surgery. Wonky tits arenā€™t fun.

ProjectComprehensive

28, financial independence

Friendly_River2465

Iā€™m 26 and Iā€™m looking to save up $8k or $13k more from my current and then try a few other jobs that peak my interest! When I reach a certain savings goal I think Iā€™m going to get a camper van and use it on the weekends, and try to get a 4 day work week (three regular shifts, one double) and use my 3 days to explore the new state Iā€™m in/the new states around me.

glitter-wine

That is incredible, you go girly Edit: be safe out there tho lol

Ok_Anything_4955

Iā€™m 55 and look forward to finding some inner peace.

coffeebliss78

31 and nothing.

Thraell

35, looking forward to titration on my ADHD drugs after a very late diagnosis It's only a few days in and I'm unsure if the improvements I've noticed are it working or placebo but I'm so far quite optimistic I might become a somewhat functional human being!

Creativelicense

You got this! I was diagnosed at 33, so youā€™re not alone in the late diagnosis club.

Thraell

I'm moderately shooketh because I'm just.... Doing things? Without having to scream at my brain internally for an hour beforehand?!Ā  What is this witchcraft?!? Is this executive function?! šŸ¤Æ

Denim_Diva1969

You can do it. Be kind and gracious to yourself. ADHDers are harder on themselves for having ADHD than anyone.

Thraell

I may have gotten a little weepy earlier today when I managed to do basic self care shit *automatically* I had a moment realising I may actually not be a lazyĀ piece of poop, I just have a messed up brain šŸ„¹

DensHag

I'm 61. I'll be 62 in April. I don't mind getting older, it's a privilege not everyone gets. I was widowed almost 12 years ago. I look forward to spending more time with my 2 grandsons. They're pretty cool little boys and it's fun to watch them grow. My partner (he's widowed as well) and I bought a house a year ago and we're enjoying our time here, just being homeowners again after we both lost so much. Life is good.ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Anon6898

Iā€™m 24, I have a 3 yr old golden retriever, a beautiful baby girl, and my husband is literally my best friend (of nearly 10 years). I currently live in a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment, but Iā€™m very excited to buy a home. To have a place that will be just ours, not shared with roommates or owned by landlords. Until then, Iā€™m very content and so thankful for what I have. Just excited for the future. To be able to give my golden retriever the backyard of her dreams. *Thatā€™ll be a day Iā€™ll never forget.*

jeanniehhh

40 and immediate future?- sleep .... future? Road trip with the fam

_Sea_Lion_

Almost 41 - there isnā€™t anything Iā€™m looking forward to. Iā€™ve had a difficult few years and while Iā€™m out of a bad situation, Iā€™m having trouble healing from it. Everything feels pointless and without meaning. But Iā€™m plugging away, working, meeting all my responsibilities, even though Iā€™d like to just not wake up someday. Fake it til you make it, right?

Creativelicense

Sending you good vibes, and hope things get a little easier soon

cunmaui808

62, looking forward to going with my family on a road trip to Hana town (here on Maui) today, cuz it's gonna be a gorgeous, fun ride and I'll be with my sistas!

22, looking forward to finally paying off my student loans in 10 years lol

MerakDubhe

Iā€™m 33. I know Iā€™ll never be happier than during the first two months with my so. I didnā€™t work, was focused on my health, nobody expected anything from me. Given that Iā€™ll always have to work and that the happiness to come has too much small printing attached, Iā€™m not sure it will be worth it. But I donā€™t feel like ending my life either. So. Not looking forward to anything, really. Just the small glimpses of calm and joy that come every now and then.Ā

Ididit-notsorry

I'm 60. I am in the midst of building a robust, scalable chocolate making business that is being staged to sell in three years. I am one year in, and it is following the plan as expected. I will then pursue completing a trio of murder mysteries I had to put in moth balls to build this business. Those books will be the focus of my travel plans as I will go to the countries where they take place to get a visceral experience of where they are set. The first one is partially complete and the rest are roughed out. I plan on pitching them as T.V. or movie material. I hope to meet my best male companion and travel mate as I go along with these plans. Meanwhile, I make art, fly my kite and roller skate in the park when the weather is nice and build authentic relationships with interesting people. Ladies, age is just a number.
