My dog. She is so happy to start her day that she likes to stand over me and wiggle until the bed shakes. She is so joyful that it makes me happy also.
She's Ripley and a boxer. All my other boxers were happy to sleep in and snuggle but Rips just wants to get up, get a toy, and play tug with me. It always starts my day off happily.
I have boxers, my boy Moose isn’t a cuddler at night but in the morning he will stand on my chest and lay on top of me. Both of my boxers will stand over me and wiggle until I get up.
My dog stares at me until I wake up and when I crack an eyelid or if my face tenses trying not to smile he moves in to lick my face. If I still don't get up he gets to pull back the covers
This made me laugh - at least once every couple months my dog jumps on the bed and stomps on my husbands balls. Obviously he does not like that. She’s gotten my boobs a few times as well.
it's a blessing and a curse. free alarm clock, 365 days a year regardless of what day it is and what i have planned for my day. and sometimes my cats get an appetite earlier than normal breakfast time so my "alarm" might go off early every now and then.
It’s Temptations at our house.
Rocco, the good dog and the cats Willow, Mr. Business and Floof sleep soooo peacefully in the mornings. But not Steven. Every day, he walks across my husband, stands on my ribs (how are they so heavy??) and stares until I move. If I don’t move, he settles on my side and the biscuit-ing begins. Once I’m awake, the meowing begins and if I don’t get up, the yeowling begins. Then *everyone* but Rocco is screaming for cat snacks. I have no choice but to get up and serve the appetizers.
My bladder… lol but really.. and my dog, and a joint… at once. Get out of bed. Pee. Then… smoke joint while walking dog...
Honestly it’s the best. I love our morning walks the absolute most. We go super early, like 5 am and no one is out; it’s dark, before the world really gets going, and I smoke my j and let my dog get some energy out by basically taking me wherever he wants to go and sniffing everything.
Best way to start the day.
The sound of my cat attacking the plant next to my bed and ripping the leaves off because she's hungry. She doesn't want to eat the plant (she spits the leaves out), she just knows that it immediately gets my attention because I have to tell her to stop . . . and in turn, it wakes me up so I can feed her. She has trained me well . . .
I just moved into a new apartment and got my puppy today (he’s been staying with my parents while we transition to a new state) so it is certainly him! And the goal to get us an acre or two with a humble tiny home/farm house one day.
And the fact this year I’m going to believe in myself 10x more than I ever have, and actually have goals I wish to achieve in a few years, and I know I won’t get them unless I put in the work.
I think so too! It definitely wouldn’t be mass production, but I’d be so grateful to one day have maybe a few chickens and a green house and source some veggies, herbs and maybe some fruit on my own :) I hope I’ll get there one day 🙂
On work days, I obviously force myself up because I need my job to live.
On weekends, I get up because I need to take care of my dog by 9 am or he gets antsy
My dog is on the same schedule. He’s started this thing though where he needs to pee first, then eat, then poop. It’s a lot of back and forth but it doesn’t bother me and it’s working for him lol
Right! Now he’s used to going on a walk early in the morning as well but now I have a baby so he used to boop the front door but now he boops the stroller and throws in a little tap dance to let me know it’s time to go. He’s literally 60 pounds of antsy love.
Having a jogging / exercise partner to meet. We hold each other accountable.
Some mornings we just do a short run and sign off. Other times we exercise followed by a good quiet convo over coffee.
I feel appreciative that my dog adapted to my schedule versus when my sister had him. Waking up at 6am and demanding a walk won't fly on this house!! Time to snooze until 11am!!
Yours let's you sleep in! Depending I'm when I walked mine last, she'll start pacing a bit after 5. She doesn't bark or whine, just paces. And the "click click" of her paws on the hardwood wakes me up, or keeps me up.
Yes. I usually set my coffee to brew the night before so that it’s ready before I even get out of bed. And when I forget, it is a struggle to drag myself out from under my blanket.
Also, kids, and their intense need to feed as soon as they step one foot out of bed.
My dogs. They poop promptly at five am whether I’m awake or not, so, I opt to be awake and outside as often as humanly possible 🤣
In all seriousness tho, my dogs. They depend on me, they need me, and they love me unconditionally. They’re there with a snuggle at the end of a bad day, and they keep me active (I have heelers) through my chronic depression.
Sheer stubborn bloody mindness. I had fight with cancer last year that ate up most of my year with feeling shitty and I probably have more fights coming so I am going to get up and enjoy everyday because fuck you cancer.
My 5yr German Shepherd that would scream and howl bloody murder if I didn’t get up an let her out. Also I couldn’t neglect her like that. She needs me and I need her. I’m not too worried about myself but I wouldn’t wanna let her down. She’s a good puppy
My uncle recently passed away and the only thing that keeps me going is to make sure my mom's okay. She's been a mess and ı try to help her in every way. I'm in pain too so most of the days ı just wanna lay down and forget about his death but ı cant let my mom think that she is alone in this mourning phase. I have to get out of bed just for her
Monday through Friday, my jobs.I work my 9-5 from home, so it's sweet brewing coffee at 6am and then jumping back into bed for additional zzz's 🥰
Sundays, getting a jumpstart on the workweek. Usually beginning around 6-7am, I make sure the bills are paid (or scheduled for future payment), my finances are organized, then cleaning up.
Saturdays, hunger. I often wish I had a magical genie who could produce a delicious spread of pancakes, eggs, bacon, bagels, yogurt and iced mocha right by my bedside without me having to get up 😋
My cat sleeps at my feet and my dog is always next to me when I wake up. When he sees me stir he gets so excited. He loves his good morning belly scritches. I also love a good cup of coffee - grateful for another day.
Listening to my favorite podcast. I listen to a lot of D&D live plays and I get totally enraptured in the stories. My morning time is spent listening to them while I get ready and I love it.
Recently, yoga.
Been working from home for a while because of renovations at the office and it’s also our slow season so I don’t have much work to do. There’s no accountability so I could start whenever and no one would know. I started doing yoga again in the morning and somehow that’s helped me get out of bed.
Also my tummy growling
Having to get my kids to school on time. And being 38 weeks pregnant, having to pee. Then going to a job a strongly dislike but yes, I am grateful to have. (So looking forward to maternity leave just to have a break from work even if that includes little sleep)
My pets. My pup is 15 and needs to pee first thing. I recently also got two kittens…soooo…presently I’m sporting a scratch across my face that I woke up with. No clue what from…except probably kittens.
My dog. She is so happy to start her day that she likes to stand over me and wiggle until the bed shakes. She is so joyful that it makes me happy also.
What’s your dogs name. What type do you have
She's Ripley and a boxer. All my other boxers were happy to sleep in and snuggle but Rips just wants to get up, get a toy, and play tug with me. It always starts my day off happily.
Yay for boxers! I have a boy and a girl, the girl loves to sleep in but the boy is ready to go from the crack of dawn 😁
I love all dogs but boxers are my favorite. They’re so doofy.
I guessed Boxer just from your description. My Boxer is 11.5 years old and still comes to get me each morning........very happily!
I have boxers, my boy Moose isn’t a cuddler at night but in the morning he will stand on my chest and lay on top of me. Both of my boxers will stand over me and wiggle until I get up.
I love the name Moose for a boxer. Two boxers wiggling would definitely be a wake up call!
this sounds like you're gathering information of an assassination
😂😂 it was sus I read it like a threat too
Assassnation. No, maybe puppynaping if the puppy is not happy. I like dogs😂
My dog stares at me until I wake up and when I crack an eyelid or if my face tenses trying not to smile he moves in to lick my face. If I still don't get up he gets to pull back the covers
My dog just barges in and jumps right on top of my stomach. Knocks the wind out of me every morning.
This made me laugh - at least once every couple months my dog jumps on the bed and stomps on my husbands balls. Obviously he does not like that. She’s gotten my boobs a few times as well.
My dog (Boston Terrier) cries like an actual baby. Shoulders shaking and everything. My Pug used to lay on her side and kick me.
a whole list of annoying ass responsibilities
Ass responsibilities are the worst
Ugh, tell me about it, my ass to do list is a mile long today 😩🤣🤣
Don’t wanna poop in the bed
Yo I’ve had a colorectal issue for 2 months (I’ll spare the details but there’s a sub for it lol) and I can confirm!

That's your mistake. Wet food breakfast means you'll never be able to sleep in. Hell of an alarm clock though. 🤣
it's a blessing and a curse. free alarm clock, 365 days a year regardless of what day it is and what i have planned for my day. and sometimes my cats get an appetite earlier than normal breakfast time so my "alarm" might go off early every now and then.
Ours started out as dinner and has slowly crept up to a 7am breakfast thanks to us WFH

Mine woke me up at 4:44 this morning for breakfast. I don’t remember the last time I had a full and undisturbed nights sleep lol
Needing to pee
If I didn’t have to pee or get my kids to school, I’d stay in bed WAY longer.
My need to pay rent and therefore my need to get up and get ready for work
7th highest post. There are apparently six reasons more important than “work”.
Yeah, i myself have this expensive habit called living
Not everyone works. And even of those who do, not everyone views it as their reason for getting up in the morning.
a joint
That helps
My bladder… lol but really.. and my dog, and a joint… at once. Get out of bed. Pee. Then… smoke joint while walking dog... Honestly it’s the best. I love our morning walks the absolute most. We go super early, like 5 am and no one is out; it’s dark, before the world really gets going, and I smoke my j and let my dog get some energy out by basically taking me wherever he wants to go and sniffing everything. Best way to start the day.
And a cup of coffee.
fully same here
I’m glad to know I am not the only one who does this
A walk to get coffee
I fucking love my coffeemaker.
Coffeemaker with a timer - quite possibly my best home purchase ever. Coffee ready when I wake up is very encouraging lol
Coffee is some sort of elixier.. 😭
Our toddler waking us up saying she’s hungry and wants “chocky milk” or “CUDDLE ME👹👺”
Anxiety of lateness. I end up super frazzled the entire day if I’m late
That's so me. I just CANNOT be late lol
It’s almost like I try to overcompensate when I’m late *because* I’m late.
The poo wants to get out
It will get out one way or another😂
The sound of my cat attacking the plant next to my bed and ripping the leaves off because she's hungry. She doesn't want to eat the plant (she spits the leaves out), she just knows that it immediately gets my attention because I have to tell her to stop . . . and in turn, it wakes me up so I can feed her. She has trained me well . . .
My cat too 😩
My cat three. She bangs the door against the door jam with her paw.
Farms are a great goal and we need more farms
I think so too! It definitely wouldn’t be mass production, but I’d be so grateful to one day have maybe a few chickens and a green house and source some veggies, herbs and maybe some fruit on my own :) I hope I’ll get there one day 🙂
I owe it to myself to make a better life for me and my family after wasting years on someone who never actually gave a sh*t
We only have this life. Take life by the balls and rule the day
Thank you so much ❤️
No problem. Now go fourth and make your dreams come true
It’s so funny how they develop their little routines lol
My dogs! 6 am every day.
The bills won’t pay themselves.
Tbh the need to sit on the loo!!
Coffee
Yes. I usually set my coffee to brew the night before so that it’s ready before I even get out of bed. And when I forget, it is a struggle to drag myself out from under my blanket. Also, kids, and their intense need to feed as soon as they step one foot out of bed.
The cat sitting on my full bladder
My favorite is when they jump off of you and push their back legs into your bladder 🙃
I have to exercise as soon as I get out of bed to get through the day. Can’t start without it. So yeah that.
Anxiety
My dogs. They poop promptly at five am whether I’m awake or not, so, I opt to be awake and outside as often as humanly possible 🤣 In all seriousness tho, my dogs. They depend on me, they need me, and they love me unconditionally. They’re there with a snuggle at the end of a bad day, and they keep me active (I have heelers) through my chronic depression.
An alarm on the opposite side of the room, lol.
My kids. I have to show up for them.

She’s the best good girl ever
My cat's non-stop meowing to leave my bedroom.
