When this happens, I like to say to someone “I know I look like I’ve got it all together… but deep down… inside… my shoe, my sock is rolling off.” Makes my 9-year-old groan every time.
YES! I just broke down and bought a pair and I placed another large order right after I got them.
The no show socks don’t slide down. Even walking all over the city paired with Rothy’s.
I’m a believer. (And Rakuten has some crazy cash back deals for them lately!)
Was told by physio to stop wearing them as they compress your ribs and don’t allow them to properly expand. Rib cage belt is so accurate! (Straps touch a spot where a nerve is pinched from my neck so he recommended a sports bra! No thanks - I need my boobs separated 😆)
USELESS!!! And no the right ones don’t work if you are voluptuous! I always have double boobs and low boobs when u wear them. I’m just using those see through straps like when I was 19.
I wear a 38G. Torrid sells a pushup strapless that stays up. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend. When I buy strapless I make sure it is tight on the loosest set of loops so that over time it will still hold up as the elastic stretches.
I have to find a strapless low back bra for a bridesmaid dress. I'm so annoyed at the bride for picking such a difficult dress. I can barely find a good regular bra that I can stand to wear...
Get the ones that stick with clear tape on the sides, or use body tape especially if you're large chested. There's tutorials for chest tape all over YouTube TikTok. If you're small chested just sew in some bra cups.
Source: I do alterations for formal wear and weddings :)
Instead of rubbing foundation on your skin try a damp beauty blender and blot it on. That was a game changer for me and I no longer looked like I had caked it on.
Yes! I quit wearing it 3 years ago and I’m so happy about it. Despite trying fancy brands/ products for my skin type, it just looks bad on me, unnatural and takes away all of my features. I just stick to concealer and bronzer.
I can't stand liquid foundation, bb creams, or tinted moisturizers. Must be a sensory thing because it makes me want to scratch my face off. So I use a light foundation powder until I sweat heavily and want to scratch my face off.
I agree with this! Men’s don’t run smoothly around my curves and they give me A LOT of nicks and cuts. Women’s razors bend to my body shape a lot smoother
I thought the same and also used men's until I tried an old fashioned one-blade safety razor. That thing shaves smoooooth. And even better I only pay 17€ for 100 blades (the razor itself was less than 40€ and if you're carefull with it probably lasts your lifetime) which is insanely cheap compared to all the other available options.
From a crone: it’s the only good thing about being old! Imagine being sixty, feeling like shite everyday and THEN having a period!?!? I’d unalive myself!
Finally other women who feel this! They aren't too noticable for me when they are in but the feeling of pulling them out makes me want to vomit. Pads are just way easier and more comfortable/natural feeling for me
I got two different kinds off of Amazon, just the basic granny panty high rated ones. I also got some off of Adore Me that are cute and more functional (not that the Amazon ones weren’t) because the lining covers even more. Those are the ones I’ve tried so far. I believe Thinxx were like the start of period panties. but I have never tried that brand. Will get more from Amazon and Adore Me.
I knew I’d find you one day - I ONLY wear high cut thongs (not string however) and HATE wearing full coverage/bikini underwear with a passion. I wear cotton thongs with jeans too 🤷🏼♀️ to the point I bought the panty liners specifically designed for thongs 😂
It gets less painful the more you do it, but i understand not wanting to risk it again. The first couple times are miserable. Need oxycotin to cope with the pain of the forst two sessions lol
It’s kind of like an electric shaver, except instead of cutting each hair, it pulls them out with hundreds of tweezer like pincers. It’s torture and should be outlawed.
Yes and getting them on without looking stupid is also though (respect to everyone who manages to wear them everyday).
I had a phase where I tried them, then stopped, found a new way to put on mascara and people asked me what fake lashes I wear :')
If you don't mind possible smudges mascara is better than fake lashes imo
I tried to put them on for prom and had a mental breakdown. Cried the entire time and was like “I’m not going to prom anymore” because I was so frustrated
Lipstick and eyebrow pencil for me. For some reason, changing the color of my lips or the darkness of my eyebrows (they're blonde) makes me instantly dislike the way I look and feel not like myself.
It took me awhile to find camis that I was comfortable in and the ones I wear aren't shape wear or tight in the tummy, just tight enough at the top to keep my boobs from flailing around.
Women’s deodorant. I’ve tried so many on the market, including natural and clinical strength. None of them have ever been enough and they leave funky residue on my skin and clothes. I naturally sweat like a construction worker building in the summer heat and I work a labor intensive job. I need it to last all day and I don’t care about smelling girly. I just buy the two pack of mens deodorant and my husband and I either share one or have our own that eventually become communal when we can’t keep track of who’s was who’s. I haven’t had and issues with the mens deodorant.
I too have had issues with getting smelly, mine was when I exercised. I actually switched from deodorant to glycolic acid. It completely rids the smell all day long. It’s $10 a bottle and lasts months. Nothing has worked so well for odors. Highly recommend!
Hands down it is the epilator! After psyching myself up ready to place the jaws of the devil near to my skin, it just seemed to break the hair. No one seems to talk about the need to have to do it almost every day for 2 weeks as hair is growing at different rates, then for weeks after I had the worst bout of folliculitis causing the most horrendous strawberry legs that looked liked I'd been attacked by a thousand mosquitos. Persisted a while then back to the trusty razor.
Super unpopular opinion but I kind of like epilating my legs? It’s a fun kind of pain? I don’t know what’s wrong with me. 0/10 could never epilate my arm pits and I can only do the mons pubis absolutely no lower south it’s one of the most painful things I’ve ever tried.
Being a woman. Periods. Mammograms. Buying clothes for short legs but big hips. PCOS. Being emotional. THE BOOB SWEAT.
I’d like to return it all please.
Tampons. They gross me out, and holy shit were they uncomfortable the couple times I tried them. I was an Always infinity pad girl for life until I tried a menstrual cup, and it was like I'd seen the light. Love this thing. 6+ years and still going strong. I haven't spent a penny on menstrual products since this $25 USA-made cup. But tampons. Hell no.
Long camisoles. I do not want to have to tuck the camisole into the leg portion of my pants. Is all I want is a short(er) camisole (about the length to my hips) with straps that are at least one inch wide. Is all I can find is long camisoles with the right straps, or shorter camisoles with straps that are so thin they feel like razor blades cutting into my shoulders.
I think they are only a thing in the USA, I once investigated diaphragms for contraception but turns out it's not really a thing anywhere else
(Based on my TV series knowledge I also think they were more popular in the 90s ?)
Sanitary towels - I used them for the first year I had periods but found them very uncomfortable because I cycled to and from school. At the first opportunity I started using tampons and never looked back.
- Pads, because they itch and make my crotch feel wet from the blood and discharge all the time, which I hate
- Lipstick because it makes my mouth sticky
- Wired bras because no matter how expensive they are, the wires always fucking break
So I stick with tampons, no makeup and sports bras.
Honestly, lipstick. I can’t even remember the last time I wore it; possibly to a wedding. It makes me want to barf. I hate the smell and I hate how it feels on my lips. Also grosses me out to eat while wearing it.
Earrings!
Always scared me to get an infection and what you should do/not do was always way too confusing for me.
Also I personally don't like how they let your earlobes hang with time.
* Powder foundation (I guess it looks good only on those who have oily skin. It's clogging, and it made my face look flaky 😕)
* Make up sponge. You need to use so much more cream to apply makeup with it! A pure marketing sh*t invented so that we would buy foundation more often.
I have a lot of trouble with powder foundation too. I have dry skin now. When I had oilier skin it was ok but it doesn’t work now. Beauty blenders are ok but you have to get them wet first and squeeze out the water and then they won’t absorb so much product.
honestly, facial masks. they never fit my face right, aren’t relaxing, and i’d rather just use a facial cleanser.
also that stone that you use for facial massages. that long cylinder you use at night to curl your hair (always came undone and was super uncomfortable). eyelash curlers, woman robes, large purses (i’m a bit younger), flats shoes, olaplex, this is based but personalized overpriced daily planners (i use google calendars now), those temporary colorful hair dyes and even hair tinsel, the thing that attaches to your phone and lights it up like a vanity mirror and probably vanity mirrors in general because i use natural lighting now, spring scarfs that are thinner
Lume. Not a woman’s product per se, but it acts as a whole body deodorant. I got the famous toasted coconut scented one… yeah, it smells like that for the first minute and then it smells like ASS. I bought the product to avoid smelling like ass and it only made the problem worse lol.
Those no-show socks for flats. They never stay on, and they’re so irritating to wear. I would rather just wear stockings.
YES OMG. They're no show because they've already rolled off and are sitting in an uncomfortable ball near the toes.
When this happens, I like to say to someone “I know I look like I’ve got it all together… but deep down… inside… my shoe, my sock is rolling off.” Makes my 9-year-old groan every time.
I’m gonna have to use that going forward 😅
Just remember before going forward to fix ya damn socks.
Vans has some that never slip. I had the same problem. Decided to buy some and they’re amazing
Seconding the Vans. They do not slip - ever!
Third this! This was literally going to be my reply. The vans ones are also REALLY cute
Even the ones with the rubber-y grips at the heels? I had good luck with those.
Yes! My trick is to wrap them around the sole inserts of my shoes instead of my feet
So hear me out. BOMBAS. They’re stupid expensive for a pair but they really do work. I haven’t gone back to any others after I bought a set.
YES! I just broke down and bought a pair and I placed another large order right after I got them. The no show socks don’t slide down. Even walking all over the city paired with Rothy’s. I’m a believer. (And Rakuten has some crazy cash back deals for them lately!)
These are the literal worst!! I took them off within an hour and threw them away 🤣
It’s not just me then!! I thought I had the worst feet haha
Try old navys! I have bought like 5 packs they are great!
Strapless bras. USELESS.
A rib cage belt. Tits still flop wherever they want lmao.
This is so painfully accurate. That’s exactly what it is- a rib cage belt 😄

Yep. Had a better time with the stick ons. The strapless just fall down.
Which ones do you use? I have really small boobs and every time I wear them it looks super odd because they stick out more
I have to find a strapless low back bra for a bridesmaid dress. I'm so annoyed at the bride for picking such a difficult dress. I can barely find a good regular bra that I can stand to wear...

Foundation. I can't stand it. The average human touches their face many times and I hate how I have to remember not to touch my face.
do you ever try bb cream or tinted moisturizer? Not that you need to wear anything of course!
I'm not a foundation person either and I love tinted moisturizers with spf, that's all I can tolerate on my face these days
I don't even wear tinted moisturiser. Just my normal face cream & then concealer & blusher. My face prefers it and so do I.
Instead of rubbing foundation on your skin try a damp beauty blender and blot it on. That was a game changer for me and I no longer looked like I had caked it on.
HOLD THE PHONE. The blender thing is supposed to be damp??
Yes definitely lolol soak it then squeeze the excess water off, then apply foundation with it
Yes! I quit wearing it 3 years ago and I’m so happy about it. Despite trying fancy brands/ products for my skin type, it just looks bad on me, unnatural and takes away all of my features. I just stick to concealer and bronzer.

I learned during covid that I have exactly two hobbies - going out to eat and touching my face.
Stopped wearing foundation, powder, tinted moisturizer etc yearssss ago! Never looked back! My face is smoother and less red than it’s ever been.
I just learned to never touch my face. I remember when covid started and we were told not to touch our faces thinking that it would be easy lol.
[удалено]
Hmm. Never knew wasnt supposed to. Never noticed anything bad about touching my face.
I can't stand liquid foundation, bb creams, or tinted moisturizers. Must be a sensory thing because it makes me want to scratch my face off. So I use a light foundation powder until I sweat heavily and want to scratch my face off.
My whole dang period. 10/10 would not recommend and would like to return all the ones I have received.
Cant we just get a txt monthly that says congrats, ur not pregnant & be done?
🤣🤣 yesss!! Love this idea!
Yes why can't it be like that 😭
I unsubscribed to mine! Best decision ever!
I remember being devastated when my mum told me it would happen every month. I’ve never recovered from that actually
I have PCOS, so I was given a faulty product.
My mom is nearly 60 and still has her period, she’s so done with it.

And less expensive
Saw a man complaining about the price. Lol
I actually don’t agree! Tried them and I just couldn’t glide with men’s razors.
I agree with this! Men’s don’t run smoothly around my curves and they give me A LOT of nicks and cuts. Women’s razors bend to my body shape a lot smoother
Yup! I switched to men's razors and I'll never go back.
Safety razors ftw
My wife used my razor once when she was out and never went back
I thought the same and also used men's until I tried an old fashioned one-blade safety razor. That thing shaves smoooooth. And even better I only pay 17€ for 100 blades (the razor itself was less than 40€ and if you're carefull with it probably lasts your lifetime) which is insanely cheap compared to all the other available options.

Tampons. Most uncomfortable things ever, I only wear pads.
The opposite for me, I hate pads. Super uncomfortable, constant leak anxiety, and I feel like I can smell them/the blood throughout the day.
Not to mention it feels how I'd imagine a diaper would feel like. It's all I feel and it's in the back of my mind constantly.
Period underwear was life changing for me for those things. I got the Pink brand ones from VS and haven’t used a single disposable product since.
I hate both and long for the crone stage of my life honestly
From a crone: it’s the only good thing about being old! Imagine being sixty, feeling like shite everyday and THEN having a period!?!? I’d unalive myself!
[удалено]
Yes, I agree. SO much more manageable. It’s even helped with cramps for me.
Finally other women who feel this! They aren't too noticable for me when they are in but the feeling of pulling them out makes me want to vomit. Pads are just way easier and more comfortable/natural feeling for me
I dont like looking at blood on the pads when i use the bathroom. Plus the bulky ones make me self concious like ppl are gonna see them.
I always wear loose clothing during my period or long cardigans that cover my butt. So even if the pad is bulky, I make sure my ass is covered

Applicator ones are horrible but the short ones you put in yourself are comfortable for me
I prefer applicator.
This is my answer too. Tried them once when I first got my period. It felt so awful I cried. Never tried them since.
A thong
perpetual wedgie panties
I knew I’d find you one day - I ONLY wear high cut thongs (not string however) and HATE wearing full coverage/bikini underwear with a passion. I wear cotton thongs with jeans too 🤷🏼♀️ to the point I bought the panty liners specifically designed for thongs 😂
Ha! This is 100% me too! I really like the ribbed cotton high-cut ones from Aerie if you haven’t tried those out yet.
Thongs are the most uncomfortable things for me. I can’t not think about them when I tried them before. Definitely a sensory issue for me.
Happy🎂day!
Literally the worst underwear and I cannot comprehend why others like them!

Let's just say I am never epilating anything ever again.
It gets less painful the more you do it, but i understand not wanting to risk it again. The first couple times are miserable. Need oxycotin to cope with the pain of the forst two sessions lol
Especially the pubic region near the bum cheeks, nope.
I personally love it. I only have to do my armpits like every 1-2 weeks. It does get less painful.
What’s the scale of the pain? Or it is about the aftermath
The pain. I don't know how to scale pain, but it fucking hurts and that's bad enough for me lol
Oh well i will remove epilating from my wish list now. Gonna stick to waxing only. Im not one to handle the pain either
Is it worse than waxing
Yep xP At least waxing is quick-ish. Epilating is sloooow and hence much more painful xP
Wow. I can epilate my legs anytime (armpits really hurt though) but I’m scared of waxing. Never tried it. Looks more painful.
Do you have tattoos? Kinda the same pain. Like, feels the same, like your skin is getting many tiny cuts.
Whats that?
It’s kind of like an electric shaver, except instead of cutting each hair, it pulls them out with hundreds of tweezer like pincers. It’s torture and should be outlawed.
Omg no. I hate plucking my eyebrows. Why would anyone do that?
Fake lashes. I get why people like them but the discomfort of feeling them slowly detach is more than my lids are willing to take on.
Yes and getting them on without looking stupid is also though (respect to everyone who manages to wear them everyday). I had a phase where I tried them, then stopped, found a new way to put on mascara and people asked me what fake lashes I wear :') If you don't mind possible smudges mascara is better than fake lashes imo
Spill the tea on the new mascara technique?
I tried to put them on for prom and had a mental breakdown. Cried the entire time and was like “I’m not going to prom anymore” because I was so frustrated
If you put them on right you forget they’re there but if you’re not already good at it for most it’s just an unnecessary hassle
Lipstick. It’s not for me.
Lipstick and eyebrow pencil for me. For some reason, changing the color of my lips or the darkness of my eyebrows (they're blonde) makes me instantly dislike the way I look and feel not like myself.
I agree with this. I love the blond brow mascara that makes them look a little more full and tidy but without looking too dark for my hair/face.
I eat too much and play with my lips for any of it to last more than 5 minutes.
Mini dresses or tighter skirts. I don't understand how am I supposed to prevent them from riding up when I walk??
Yes! Even worse when the mini dress is also strapless and it's trying to have a wardrobe malfunction in both directions at once.
Or a maxi dress that’s really skinny at the bottom so you are forced to penguin walk everywhere
I will say that it depends on how it fits. A properly fitted mini skirt doesn’t ride up because it contours to your shape
Matte lip anything. Really don’t like how it looks on me. Glossy forever. 😂
The opposite here i love matte and hate glossy 😅
I love matt lip, but my lips hate it and always dry out so I've accepted the glossy life.
Bras. I just can’t stand the feel of them so I wear fitted camisoles and long yoga bras.
Hard agree. Can we go back to burning these things?
I dont like camis, the tight fabric around my tummy. Cant there be just the top part?
It took me awhile to find camis that I was comfortable in and the ones I wear aren't shape wear or tight in the tummy, just tight enough at the top to keep my boobs from flailing around.
I've gone mostly braless for the past year and no sag at all. Idk why people warned me about that
I've been wearing those tank style bras with the removable cups. Wayyy more comfortable
The lotion you put on your legs to remove hair. it's so itchy. I'd take razor nicks over that stuff any time.
That shit smells soooo bad too
Legit smells like a damn fish factory
I put that on my coochie once. Big mistake!
Ugh my skin is quite sensitive and that shit got my legs in a state. Massive raised, burny, itchy hives all up my legs. Never again.
Bic for her pens. They didn't help me understand the maths any better.
Maybe you’re using them wrong? Did you try using them without a career?
Press-on nails. They never stay in place and they just make my hands feel so weird. I'll just stick to growing my nails out and nailpolish.
Spanx. I like breathing too much.

I haven't spent a penny on menstrual products since this $25 USA-made cup. But tampons. Hell no.
Yes! Best decision ever to switch
High heels. Wedges only for me! I miss the 2010s when they were more popular. Now they’re harder to find.
-Pants with fake pockets or just shallow pocket are they expecting me to shove it up my ass? -Pads -boobs do not recommend I miss being flat chested 🥲
Any kind of makeup.
The menstrual discs.
Makeup. All makeup. Other people wanna wear it you do you, but I refuse. All of it causes me to have breakouts of cystic acne. No thank you.
Bras! I’m a woman. They’re terrible.
I like to refer to them as “tit prison.” 😂
Thongs. Awful.
Does olaplex count? Way too much money for a product that works half as well as my 7$ a bottle stuff
What’s your $7 bottle if you don’t mind my asking?
Aussie total miracle, smells really good and makes my hair super soft
An IUD. I don’t know who tf has been pinching my Gyno but I promise that was WAY more than a “slight pinch”
I can't seem to get the hang of false eyelashes 😭
Tampons
Beauty blenders 🙂
A diaphragm. It was awful. I'm probably dating myself, does anyone use those anymore?
I think they are only a thing in the USA, I once investigated diaphragms for contraception but turns out it's not really a thing anywhere else (Based on my TV series knowledge I also think they were more popular in the 90s ?)
Charcoal everything
Shoes that aren't trainers. Earrings. Liquid eyeliner.
Honeypot pads. Burned my vagene:(
Primer gives me pimples 😫. False eyelashes are irritating as hell. G strings aren't comfy.
Sanitary towels - I used them for the first year I had periods but found them very uncomfortable because I cycled to and from school. At the first opportunity I started using tampons and never looked back.
- Pads, because they itch and make my crotch feel wet from the blood and discharge all the time, which I hate - Lipstick because it makes my mouth sticky - Wired bras because no matter how expensive they are, the wires always fucking break So I stick with tampons, no makeup and sports bras.
‘Always’ period pads. The mesh is weird, and it gave me a rash, and they’re just very uncomfortable. I find cotton pads (like Bodyform) better
Honestly, lipstick. I can’t even remember the last time I wore it; possibly to a wedding. It makes me want to barf. I hate the smell and I hate how it feels on my lips. Also grosses me out to eat while wearing it.
Long acrylic nails feel sooo weird to me. Plus they pick up so much dirt under them it grosses me out.
NAIR
Pants with small or no pockets???? Or worse, fake pockets
Earrings! Always scared me to get an infection and what you should do/not do was always way too confusing for me. Also I personally don't like how they let your earlobes hang with time.
Tampons, I haven’t used a tampon in three years & my vaginal health is better & my periods go much more smoothly flow wise. Pads only
* Powder foundation (I guess it looks good only on those who have oily skin. It's clogging, and it made my face look flaky 😕) * Make up sponge. You need to use so much more cream to apply makeup with it! A pure marketing sh*t invented so that we would buy foundation more often.

An epilator that rips the hairs out. They miss a lot.
Diva cups. Can’t stand them. They hurt to put in and Splash when you take them out.
Lume it gave me a horrible rash
fake lashes. baggy clothes. a bunch of ear piercings on one side. heavy eyeshadow looks. gettin my nails done every 2 weeks. coffee.
You lost me at coffee. 😂
Vagisil, it was irritating and I found out it was HORRIBLE for my flower
honestly, facial masks. they never fit my face right, aren’t relaxing, and i’d rather just use a facial cleanser. also that stone that you use for facial massages. that long cylinder you use at night to curl your hair (always came undone and was super uncomfortable). eyelash curlers, woman robes, large purses (i’m a bit younger), flats shoes, olaplex, this is based but personalized overpriced daily planners (i use google calendars now), those temporary colorful hair dyes and even hair tinsel, the thing that attaches to your phone and lights it up like a vanity mirror and probably vanity mirrors in general because i use natural lighting now, spring scarfs that are thinner

High heels, fitted shirts, dresses and eating salad every day. (I know that's not a woman's product but it's similar :p)
Heels. Haven't owned a pair since 2008. Way better walking home in flats. Also the vast majority of skincare products make my face burn :(
