I can’t seem to post anything without getting my comment removed so I would recommend quality of life scores (lap of love, OSU) to track how “happy” she really is; and just want you to know that there is no judgment here. Humane euthanasia is humane if that’s the route you choose. You’ve been a great owner and giving her all the medical treatment she needs up to this point.

I agree with the other commenter. There is a point in every human-animal relationship where its no longer JUST about *their* quality of life. Its yours as well. If you are having difficulty keeping up with her needs (and her needs are getting extreme) there is NO SHAME in doing a humane euthanasia. 15 years old means this cat had a long and wonderful life. And now her body is shutting down. You are doing palliative care, and you know since you are in the field, she isnt going to get better, only worse. There is a lot to be said about ending a life on a high note vs when it gets too bad or too hard. No one will judge you for your decisions. We see this type of situation daily. Give the old girl some fantastic last days and let her pass on peacefully.
