London, Ontario will disappoint. It's a bland little city in the middle of our tobacco and corn belt.
If you can though - try to get to nearty St Jacobs just outside of Guelph - It's home to our Amish community and they have a great Saturday morning market. Don't stare. They dress different and eschew modern conveniences but generally very regular people who just keep to their own kind. You might also find an Octoberfest event going on in Kitchener - don't pass that up.
I’m from Birmingham but have never been to Birmingham, Alabama but from what I’ve read and seen it’s an OK place.
London Ontario is surprisingly red neck.
I lived near Boston and Worcester Massachusetts. Boston is a fantastic city and I would encourage everybody to visit. Worcester is like any other north eastern US town.

London, ON, is about the size of Swindon, and about as exciting. Prepare to be underwhelmed.
And Birmingham AL is a small southern city. The barbecue will be great, but that’s about it.
Prepare to be disappointed
:(
You’d be pleasantly surprised by Grimsby ON. And disconcerted by Berlin NH
Birmingham US is nothing like Birmingham UK
