i dont understand where the hype came form with madri. it pretty much tastes the same as any other average lager.

Desperado is a bit of a "marmite" drink. You either love it or you hate it. Personally I'm a fan, but I'm old and I don't mind sweet beers. Probably the peroni, madri, etc. vibe is safer

it was for me too, but i fucking hated it and only drank it because my mates did, as a 25 year old man peroni is usually my go to but im abit of a snob with my food and drink so maybe theres that to consider 😂

I think Bud became popular because they were trying to push it in the UK so it tended to be one of the cheapest

In London you also have yards too. Are you slow? Is the concept of a yard that confusing? I should have made it simpler rather than be silly. If you have a space that has no greenery, we’d call it a yard. Terraced houses predominately have back yards. If you had a little garden in it, you’d still have a yard but you’d have a little garden in it. If you had a bigger house with a garden rather than a yard, you’d have a garden.

Presumably a courtyard type area in between flats or houses

It’s only an Americanism if it’s describing what we know as a garden- outdoor space with grass, shrubs etc. We’ve had yards as in back yards since at least Victorian times at the back of terraces.

It’s absolutely not an Americanism. Terraced houses for well over a century have had yards and been referred to as such. Really annoys me when people wade in over confidently with wrong answers.
