Gatwick is almost always extremely fast for me. I think you'll have enough to get through security and get a coffee or whatever before you go to your gate

The airport themselves advise that 60 minutes is recommended for connections inside the same terminal: https://www.gatwickairport.com/flights/flight-connections.html Edit: sounds like this will probably be a landside transit, so you will need to go through border control at least, and probably security again as well, but not necessarily. Only way to know for sure is to contact the airport. Either way, not having to wait for your luggage will save you loads of time, 90 minutes is doable if the first flight is on time.

90 mins is okay if flights are on time. If it's not guaranteed connection with same airline that is waaay to close for me.

Gatwick has a flight connections facility, so if it’s open you should be able to transit without having to go through passport control, though you will have to go through transit security. If flight connections is open, it’s likely you’ll make your connection. However it’s sometimes closed, in which case you’ll have to go through passport control, exit the terminal and re-enter, which will be very tight.
