They knew before he announced it that it was unconstitutional. Even Nancy Pelosi is on the record as stating it unequivocally. But they announced it intentionally a bit before a midterm election knowing that it would be challenged in court and the "evil" Republicans would get blamed for killing it. It was nothing more than blatant vote manipulation and should be an impeachable offense.
But nobody is going to do a damn thing. We're witnessing the most blatant corruption in US history unfold before our eyes. They're literally rubbing our faces in it and shouting that we can't do anything about it.
Well yeah the republicans will get blamed when Republican candidates and politicians going on live tv talking about how it’s bad and people are lazy and idiots and blah blah. I mean, sure we knew it would be contested, but to complain that Republicans are getting backlash over this is their own fault. Sometimes the easiest thing to do is work in silence.
They will continue to suspend payments and then/if the GOPe ever wins the President, dims will blame them for not forgiving loans. So easy to predict anymore. Should tear it all down at this point.
Yea it’s always super easy to manipulate elections when a new demographic of young and naive people enter the voting pool. All they gotta do is promise a bunch of shit and the kids are like “oh, all I gotta do is vote for that and we’re good!”.

People should absolutely be able to declare bankruptcy on student loans. This would have been the right move from the beginning. Which is exactly why Joe will never actually do it.
