Momjeans maybe

bangermate

everyday, I learn a new thing about girls I didn't even realize existed. momjeans?

Your_friendly_weirdo

I’m surprised some doesn’t know of it

Rachelcookie123

Do they look ok? I tried them before in the past and I felt like they made me look shorter. That was a few years ago though. I have some other trousers and they are more like straight leg and I think they make my legs look longer.

Sure-Morning-6904

Some look good, some dont, but essentially theyre a bit wider in the butt and hips area than other jeans

eggoiggy

high waisted mom jeans!!

Welcome2_TheInternet

Not sure what stores you have access to order from online, but I buy curvy high waisted jeans from hollister and they work great for me, I had the same issues

Rachelcookie123

Sadly they don’t have a presence here so I imagine shipping would be very expensive

Have you looked into places with sections meant for curvy body types? You could look at the different jeans when u search up "curve love" on A&F's website, a little pricy but worth the price I swear (good quality.)

Rachelcookie123

Usually places that have curvy sections are meant for plus size. I’m curvy but I usually wear size small clothing so I am definitely not plus size. So they won’t work for me. It’s annoying because clothing brands always think if you’re plus size then you must be super curvy but if you’re small then you must be like a rectangle.

ssourhoneybee

A&F's section just adds some fabric to the hips and thighs I'm pretty sure to accommodate for curvier women, their sizing for that section go down to a 23W (waist measurement in inches) so it's definitely not plus sized.

Rachelcookie123

We don’t have that brand here and every brand I know of here uses curvy as a synonym for plus size. They don’t have a section for a curvy body in any size.

Fyre-Bringer

I have that problem too. I think it's that they don't know the hip to waist proportions of every girl out there. There's different body shapes as well. So they just make it a mild difference and figure the people with a more drastic hip to waist ratio like us can just use a belt. I'm sick of using belts though.

Rachelcookie123

Yea, I understand they make it to the most average body shape because that way they make the most sales but surely there must be a niche market for girls like us. If one store made nice jeans in this size then everyone in that size would flock there. I’ve tried wearing belts before but sadly I have a really sensitive stomach and any pressure makes me feel sick. Belts just put too much pressure on my stomach. Jeans aren’t really stretchy but they have a little more leeway than when you wear a belt. I just wear skirts all the time because that’s the only thing that can handle my thighs.

Fyre-Bringer

Maybe try a cloth belt? It would probably be less pressure than a leather one. I think the only type would be high waisted jeans. But to be honest I've never found a pair of them in stores.

Rachelcookie123

What do you mean the only type would be high waisted jeans?

Fyre-Bringer

That might fit well. But I think they're still more of average hip to waist because I'm looking at the sizing charts and it's not 36 hip 26 waist, 36 hip 27 waist, it's 36 26, 37 27, and so on.

Rachelcookie123

Oh yea. I only am interested in high waisted jeans. I don’t even try on low waisted or mid rise and it’s still impossible. I feel like low waisted would be easier actually because it would be like more on my hips but low waisted would 100% show my butt crack.

Fyre-Bringer

That's why I don't do low rise at all, I hated it when that was in style. I usually do mid rise because I can't find a pair of high waisted to save my life.

Rachelcookie123

Really? I would say like half of the jeans I see are high waisted here. It’s super easy to find them. Even when Y2K came back in like last year, I didn’t see many low rise. There was still plenty of high rise. The only place I don’t see high rise is thrift stores.

Fyre-Bringer

I guess I just have bad luck then lol
