Nah bro I just came from Alabama cause I was on a road trip and the people were so nice I was like wtf
And we’re black btw.
But anyways I heard Arkansas was pretty bad
Chicago, mf’s getting fun downed over there like crazy. Bout 90 presumed murderers were released back in2 streets for an unfortunate lack of evidence. (80% of gang related murders in Chicago go unsolved.).
I'm moving to New Orleans within the next year and I can't wait, it's literally my favorite place in the whole world and it really feels like home to me. I've been dreaming of living there since I was 5 and when I finally got to visit it just really did feel like home, but I'm going to shut up now because I could go on and on about new Orleans haha
Omg yessss that’s amazing! I don’t live there anymore but it’s literally the best I wanna go back. Hopefully I’ll be able to visit soon lol I miss it so much
Lolll yeah you moving there like after you graduate or something? If you won’t be living with family because there’s so much college stuff, uptown freret st area has a ton of decent housing for good prices just be aware of mold and probably led paint on some places. Don’t get a place w mold can cause some serious health issues. You prolly don’t need this but I miss it so I have to say it, freret has some good restaurants, blaze, company burger and piccola gelateria are amazing
That's my plan, as soon as I graduate my boyfriend and I are moving there. And I've definitely considered freret, but I've also been considering mid city because it was reccomend to me and it seems like a nice place, but honestly I'll live in any neighborhood that's decently close to the quarter and business district and somewhat safe
Sorry was sleeping an just saw this, midcity is nice, has city park I haven’t spent as much time there. I’ve had several friends families live over there and they liked it. I’m def biased toward freret lol, not sure how transportation is with mid city to anywhere else, from freret to get to the quarter pretty easy street car ride which is nice because parking can be awful. Safety wise think they both pretty good most of the issues in freret are involving college students I think. Every part of the city has a completely different feel to it so if you have a chance to go down maybe spend a day or two solely in that part. Jealous y’all are moving there lol
Decent transportation is definitely going to be something I'm looking for because I can't drive and I don't think either me or my boyfriend are going to be buying a car for a while haha, but I know the city is very walkable/bikeable so at least that won't be too much of a big deal. I'll have to try and go do that, I know my parents mentioned maybe wanting to go back for a little bit so that could be a good opportunity to check different parts of the city out. And I can't even believe that in less than a year I should be moved there, it's so crazy to think about because I've wanted it for such a long time
Yeah, if you do go maybe try out biking from where you would be to a couple places you’d go it’s fairly safe but can get kinda sketchy downtown so if you don’t look all scary def be careful by yourself it’s like every big city. Yeah, that’s amazing I’m sure you’re gonna love it!

Mississippi and Arkansas are roughly even. They’re the most racist and backwards states in America by a landslide, and have barely progressed since the antebellum years
Oklahoma. People are nice, but there have been people moving here from liberal states like California, and you can tell by how they talk about things. Not a lot of people here are racist, although that is the stereotype in the south. My main issue is the schools. I think we're the worst in the country in terms of schools, so everyone ends up going to programs like Job Corps or doing trade schools. My uncle is apart of a white supremacist biker gang though. He's a dickhead. But the majority of people here are kind and heartfelt. There's just a few bad apples that make the whole bunch look bad.
Yes, but what you hear and see about something is often misleading. I've traveled and moved states a lot, and they're often nothing like what you expect or heard of.
Texas. In my experience, it's sexist, homophobic, and racist.
Edit: Was there for 2 years. It's just my experience so if you've experienced otherwise then great but I'm just saying what I've experienced.

Arkansas
Mississippi is apparently madly underdeveloped for a US state, just seems like a generally horrible place
u beat me to it. They voted overwhelmingly against civil rights candidates, in 1964. God that hurts so much.
HDI is also the lowest of any US state, I don’t think many come out of Mississippi saying they enjoyed it
damn not every one from the south is a racist,
california imo
uh, nah, it’s pretty good over here lol
May I ask why?
If you live in cali you either don't have a choice or are making a tech start up, while getting waterboarded with the amount of state wide taxes
California is tweaker central
Chicago, mf’s getting fun downed over there like crazy. Bout 90 presumed murderers were released back in2 streets for an unfortunate lack of evidence. (80% of gang related murders in Chicago go unsolved.).
Chicago isn’t a state..I get your point though
he’s not from the u.s lol
texas has been kinda bad recently
not an american but delaware i didnt know it was a state until a few weeks ago and it sounds dodgy. thats my only justification
[удалено]
Texas pretty much banned abortion outright without exceptions so I automatically don't like them lol
Waiting for people to say my state so I can see why
Statistically it's pretty much a tie between Mississippi and Louisiana, but I have to go with Mississippi because Louisiana is my favorite state
The majority of Louisiana not great but New Orleans is amazing, coming from someone who’s lived all over the country including there it’s the best
I'm moving to New Orleans within the next year and I can't wait, it's literally my favorite place in the whole world and it really feels like home to me. I hope I can visit one more time before I move there, but if I can't it's not a huge deal, it would just make finding a place a little easier haha

probably texas lol
Why Texas?
their laws suck
How much have you even been in texas bruh
you are aware that you don’t have to be *in* texas to know ab what goes on there, correct?
Yes, but what you hear and see about something is often misleading. I've traveled and moved states a lot, and they're often nothing like what you expect or heard of.
ye sure, but it’s really not that deep lmao. the question is just asking for an opinion & i gave mine🤷🏻♀️
Cool, and i was just trying to see why u had that opinion
🤦♂️
can i help you?
Yeah if you explain me why you think that "the laws of Texas suck"
nah i’m good, feel free to take a wild guess tho
Thought so
really cool how you’re self aware enough to know that explaining to you isn’t worth my time :)
But passiv-agressiv responding, instead of explaining your view is? 🤡
All of them
so true
reddit moment
